In jeder Nut 19 bzw.
Steel holder clamping head for lathes The present invention relates to a steel holder clamping head for lathes.
There is a clamping head for quick-change steel holder for lathes known, in which on two sides forming an angle for the attachment of Werkzeugträ a common clamping member is provided, which can be displaced against the angular edge and claws for securing a tool carrier with its holding, which have a dovetail-shaped Form retaining groove, serves on one side or the other.
The disadvantage of this clamping head is that the tool holder is clamped in that it is pulled from the narrow guide side of the clamping element, which serves as a contact surface, in the direction of the point of contact between tool and workpiece, i.e. against the angular edge, while the other holding claw rests against a wide area of the holding block of the clamping head itself.
Because the front holding claw of the tool carrier is pressed against the narrow contact surface of the clamping element, the pressure generated between the workpiece and the tool, including its fluctuations, is transmitted to the clamping element via the tool carrier, which results in a loosening of the clamping element or at least a lower strength and stability of the tool support causes. In addition, this clamping head can only hold one tool carrier at a time.
Another clamping head for changeable tool holders for lathes is known, in which two clamping elements can be operated simultaneously by a single operating lever with an eccentric. But it is hardly possible to clamp two tool carriers, which show certain differences even with the greatest accuracy, with a single lever at the same time exactly and equally firmly. The fastening of at least one of them must inevitably be insufficient.
It is the aim of the present invention to provide a steel holder clamping head for lathes which avoids the aforementioned shortcomings. It should be possible to fasten two tool carriers to the new clamping head at the same time.
This steel holder clamping head for lathes has two Seitenflä chen arranged at an angle to each other, each of which has at least one dovetail guide for attaching removable and replaceable steel holders, as well as a clamping bolt arranged in a groove, one side surface of which rests on the base of the groove, while the other side surface corresponds to the side surface of the clamping head provided with the dovetail guides.
The steel holder clamping head according to this invention is characterized in that a separate actuating member is assigned to each clamping bolt, by means of which it can be longitudinally displaced and locked in the groove independently of the other clamping bolt. The angle at which the two side surfaces intersect is expediently 90, 75 or 60.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing. It shows: Fig. 1 the plan of a steel holder clamping head and indicated by dash-dotted lines a workpiece and two steel holders with tools fastened at the same time to the clamping head, Fig. 2 a clamping bar also in plan and Fig. 3 a vertical section through part of the clamping head along the line III- III in Fig.1.
In Figures 1 to 3, 10 is the chuck and 11 and 12 are its top and bottom surfaces, respectively. Between these surfaces 11, 12 the two side surfaces 13 and 14 extend, which form an angle of 75 ° at the front end of the clamping head 10, and the rear surface 15, which is cylindrical. Elevations 16 and 17, between which recesses 18 are located, run in the vertical direction on the side surfaces 13, 14.
Over part of each side surface is provided in the side longitudinal direction halfway up (Fig. 3) a rectangular groove 19 or 20, which begins at the front edge of the outer surface 21 of the elevation 16 and ends in the cylindri's rear surface 15. 22 is a through the clamping head, offset at 23 mounting opening.
In each groove 19 and 20, a clamping bolt 24 and 25 is accommodated, the plan of which proceeds from FIG. 2 and which is rectangular in vertical section. The clamping bar 24 resembles the clamping bar 25 in mirror image Lich.
Each of the two clamping bars 24, 25 is displaceable in its groove in the longitudinal direction and is designed so that its outline corresponds to the outline of the associated groove 19 and 20, respectively.
When the clamping bars 24, 25 are in the grooves 19, 20 so that their outer surfaces are aligned with those of the Seitenflä surfaces 13, 14, the clamping bars are in a neutral position in which the two steel holders 26 and 27 of those of the steel holder 27 are shorter is formed on the dovetail guides 16, or 16, 17 can be pushed. By moving the clamping bar 25 in the direction of the cylindrical rear surface 15, the shorter steel holder 27 is clamped between the Füh approximately surface 28 of the increase 16 on the clamping head and the guide surface 29 of the clamping bar 25.
By moving the clamping bar 24, the longer steel holder 26 between the guide surface 30 of the increase 16 on the clamping head and the guide surface 31 of the clamping bar 24 is clamped.
As can be seen from Fig. 1, the necessary displacement of the clamping bars 24, 25 between the neutral position and the clamping position, in which the steel holders 26, 27 are clamped, is only about 1 to 2 mm.The section in Fig. 3 illustrates this an actuating member 32 for actuating the clamping bolt 24. The organ 32 is seated in the manner indicated in FIGS. 1 and 3 in a through the clamping head 10 and through the clamping bolt 24 through opening Publ.
The actuator 32 consists of a shaft in the upper area 33 with a thread, then with a tapering away from the thread Keel stump 34 and, at the smallest cross-section of the 'truncated cone at 35, provided with a cylindrical pin 36 is.
Corresponding to the actuating member 32, the opening 37 in the upper part of the clamping head 10 is provided with a thread and the opening 38 in the lower part of the clamping head 10 is designed to match the pin 36 of the member 32. At the point provided for the opening in the upper part, the clamping bolt 24 has a cylindrical bore 39 which tapers conically downwards. The cylindrical and the conical part of the opening in the clamping bar 24 are chosen so that they have a larger diameter than the corre sponding cross-section through the part 33 and 34 of the actuator 32, which they include, corresponds.
In order to move the clamping bar 24 from the neutral position into the clamping position by means of the actuator 32, the opening for the actuating element 32 in the clamping bar 24 is arranged so that the truncated cone 34 of the actuating element 32 is screwed into the thread of the opening 37 of the clamping head 10 on the right in Fig. 3 truncated cone wall in the clamping head 10 comes to rest when the clamping element is in the neutral position, and that by further screwing the fastening element 32 into the clamping head 10, the clamping bolt is shifted to the right until a Steel holder 26 is reached.
As soon as the actuating member 32 is screwed out of the clamping head 10 again to the extent that the clamping bolt is free again to release the clamped steel holder 26, it can be brought back into the neutral position by hand or with the aid of a latching device 40 illustrated in FIG. 3.
The locking device 40 consists of a grub screw 41, a cylindrical spring 42 and a ball 43. In a through threaded bore 44 which is arranged in the upper part of the clamping head 10, and under which a conical recess 45 is provided in the clamping bolt 24, is first the ball 43 and above the spring 42 are arranged and finally the grub screw 41 is screwed into the bore 44.
When the ball 43 lies in the recess 45, the clamping bolt 24 is in its neutral position. When it is moved into the clamping position, the ball 43 is lifted against the edge of the recess 45. The tension of the spring 42 can be selected in such a way that it presses the tensioning bolt 24 back into the neutral position via the ball 43 when it is no longer retained in the tensioning position.
The latching device 40 is provided in order to prevent the unstressed clamping bolt 24 from falling out of the groove 19 of the clamping head 10. In Fig. 3, the clamping bolt 24 is drawn in the clamping position, but the latching device for the sake of simplification is shown as if the clamping bolt were in the neutral position.
The opening for the actuating member 32 in the clamping bolt 24 does not have to be circular, but can also be oval, with its smallest diameter being slightly larger than the diameter of the smallest cross section of the truncated cone 34 on the actuating member 32.
What was said above for the clamping bar 24 and the actuating member 32 also applies analogously to the clamping bar 25 and the actuating member 32.
The choice of an angle of 90, 75 or 60 between the side surfaces 13, 14 of the clamping head makes it possible to lock this as a rotatable outer part of the turret of a lathe with the part wheel of the same ben in angular position, which are each 15 apart.
