Les avantages de la machine décrite, sont multiples a) l'opération se fait à plus grande vitesse que dans les procédés usuels ; cette vitesse étant en général double de la vitesse normale, on économise la moitié de machine et de main-d'oeuvre pour la première opération ; b) la première opération d'assemblage est totalement indépendante de la deuxième en ce qui concerne le sens de torsion ; par conséquent, un seul ré glage de machine pour la première opération suf fira pour les fils de torsion droite (torsion Z) ou torsion gauche (torsion S) ; il suffira de retour ner la bobine 5 pour obtenir l'une ou l'autre tor sion ;
c) comme les fils ne passent pas dans des curseurs se déplaçant sur des anneaux qu'il faut lubrifier, on obtiendra des fils beaucoup plus propres ; d) on constitue des bobines de fils retordus, d'un poids presque double du poids usuel, ce qui accé lère le processus de fabrication ; e) étant donné qu'il subit une faible traction à l'as semblage et qu'il n'a pas subi de frottement sur un curseur, et vu l'absence de curseur et d'anneau, le fil conserve une plus grande élasticité et pos sède un gonflant >> supérieur aux fils habituels ;
Machine for assembling and twisting threads on a loom without a ring The present invention relates to a machine for assembling and twisting threads on a loom without a ring.
Currently, the yarns are assembled and twisted by two main methods.
According to the first process, we start by making a pre-twist of about 20 turns on a continuous ring loom. The operation is carried out at approximately 200 meters per minute and at most 250 meters per minute; this is due to the speed limit of the cursors on the rings. Reels are obtained which cannot exceed the weight of 1 kg for reasons of balance on the spindle during the following operation. This operation consists of performing the final twist on a mill with rotating bells. These receive coils weighing less than 1 kg.
According to a second method, a pretensioning is carried out in a hollow spindle, with a fixed bell. Given the rotation given to the coil, it cannot exceed 1 kg. This pre-twist is followed by a final twist using the same process. This process was described in French patent No. 1130768, of August 25, 1955.
The existing methods have several drawbacks a) the speed is limited to 250 meters per minute, b) the passage of the wire through the sliders and near the rings is a cause of soiling.
c) spools weighing more than 1 kg cannot be made; d) the wire is subjected to tensile forces during operations; it is elongated and loses its elasticity, e) when the thread breaks, a knot must be made on the assembled thread, a knot which is inconvenient during weaving. The present invention is intended to remedy these drawbacks.
The machine according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises a pot in which is mounted, so as to be able to rotate, a spindle which carries a spool on which the threads are wound, a slider holder fixed to the upper part of the spool, and a cursor movably mounted on the slider holder and provided with a guide element for the yarn coming from the reel to perform the spinning and twisting of this yarn as it passes through a point of 'winding.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the machine forming the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a schematic perspective view of the positive assembly device without pretension; fig. 2 is a schematic vertical section of the positive twisting device; fig. 3 is a section along AA of FIG. 2; the fia. 4 is an axial vertical section of the pot; the fia. 5 is a horizontal section of the pot along BB of FIG. 4.
The machine shown schematically is intended to perform an assembly, or doubling, without twisting at very high speed of several yarns (generally two) on spools weighing more than 1.5 kg, followed by twisting of the yarn obtained on a spindle, continuously, producing coils with dimensions greater than the standard.
The special assembly machine shown schematically in FIG. 2 consists, in the case of dubbing, of two spools 1 and 2 supported by a support not shown, the threads of which pass through a pigtail guide 3 then into a guide 4 driven by an alternating, parallel movement to the axis of the coil 5. The amplitude of the movement of the guide 4 is equal to the distance between cheeks of the coil 5, that is to say the length of the latter. The spool 5 can contain 1.8 kg of threads assembled without twisting and has a diameter of more than 100 millimeters and a length of more than 200 millimeters.
The operation of this assembly device is very simple. The son 6 and 7 respectively coming from the spools 1 and 2, pass through the movable guide 4. The latter is driven by a movement such that, during the rotation of the spool 5, it distributes the wire uniformly over the latter. double 8. This operation is carried out in such a way that the doubled wire 8 has a winding speed of 350 meters per minute; this speed can go up to 500 meters per minute. It is significantly higher than the maximum 250 meters obtained on conventional pre-twists.
When it is full, the spool 5 is placed on a spindle 9 in a fixed pot 10, for twisting the assembled yarn without twisting. The pot 10 is slightly open at its upper part and its dimensions are such as to partially contain a slider holder 17 in the shape of a mushroom, which is posed above the pin 9 and the coil 5, coaxial with the pin 9. The slider holder 17 has, at its upper part, a deep groove 18 at the bottom of which only one pin 19 remains around which a hook 20 of a bar 21 is wound which is held horizontally in the groove 18 and ends on the outside with a #illet or slider 22 in the shape of a pigtail.
The pot 10 has, in its upper half, a bulge, that is to say a larger diameter, produced by a sleeve 23 of larger diameter than that of the pot. The pot 10 is interrupted at the location of the sleeve 23 and the latter ensures the connection of the two sections of the pot by being hermetically fixed to the upper section, but by a slatted connection with the lower section, the sleeve 23 providing partial coverage by four radial spacers 24, it being understood that the internal diameter of the sleeve 23 is greater than the external diameter of the pot 10.
The pot has openings 25 at its lower part and other openings between the radial spacers 24 and its openings and the special shape of the pot 10 strongly attenuates the upward air flow which tends to occur in the upper part. from pot 10.
The sleeve 23 is intended to prevent the yarn which balloons as it turns rubbing against the walls of the pot and entraining impurities.
If there is no skeleton in the upper half of the pot, there is a setting in motion of the air inside the pot, the more active as the circumferential speed of the the spool is large, and the air blown upwards lifts the twisting thread and may soil it. By creating skylights, air escapes, as shown in dotted lines in fig. 2, and do not push the thread.
The spindle 9 and, consequently, the coil 5 are driven by the pulley 11. At the exit of the pot 10, if we designate by 8 the wire which is assembled, this one passes first in the eyelet 22. Passed this eyelet, the wire 8 becomes the twisted wire 12, passes through a guide in the form of a pigtail 13, over a rod 14 and finally into a guide 24 to be wound on a spool 15. During the rotation of the spindle 9 , the wire 12 balloons and is contained in the bulge of the pot 10 formed by the sleeve 23. The coil 5 has cheeks 16 which have a diameter barely greater than that of the core, but they can receive a diameter of about 150 millimeters. of wire, is clearly greater than the normal which is 100 millimeters.
The advantages of the machine described are numerous: a) the operation is carried out at a higher speed than in the usual processes; this speed being generally double the normal speed, half the machine and manpower are saved for the first operation; b) the first assembly operation is completely independent of the second as regards the direction of twisting; therefore, a single machine setting for the first operation will suffice for the right-twist (Z-twist) or left-twist (S-twist) yarns; it will suffice to return the coil 5 to obtain one or the other tor sion;
c) as the wires do not pass through sliders moving on rings which must be lubricated, much cleaner wires will be obtained; d) coils of twisted yarns are formed, weighing almost twice the usual weight, which speeds up the manufacturing process; e) given that it undergoes a weak tension on assembly and that it has not undergone any friction on a slider, and given the absence of slider and ring, the wire retains a greater elasticity and has a bulk >> higher than usual yarns;
f) in the event of a single thread 6 or 7 breaking, during the assembly operation, the only thread which has broken can be tied; the resulting knot will be much smaller than the knots that are usually made on the two assembled threads and this knot will be much less troublesome when weaving; g) lint is avoided on the outer surface of the twisted yarn.
