Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>
    Oscillateur à torsion pour montre électronique On a déjà proposé de monter un oscillateur du type diapason sur un support élastique de manière à améliorer le couplage mécanique des deux branches du résonateur. A cet effet, le pied du résonateur est fixé à l'extrémité de deux ou trois tiges cylindriques.

   <Desc / Clms Page number 1>
    Torsion oscillator for electronic watches It has already been proposed to mount an oscillator of the tuning fork type on an elastic support so as to improve the mechanical coupling of the two branches of the resonator. For this purpose, the resonator foot is fixed to the end of two or three cylindrical rods.

  Research carried out to provide torsion oscillators with the advantages offered by this resilient assembly have shown, however, that the use of cylindrical rods does not guarantee easy rotation of the oscillating masses and does not sufficiently avoid the risk of the support tipping over. . As is the case in a known construction.

  The present invention relates specifically to an oscillator obviating these drawbacks. The torsion oscillator for an electronic watch, which is the subject of the invention, comprises at least two oscillating masses fixed to each of the ends of a torsion spring device and means for the electrical maintenance of the oscillations. torsion being fixed between the two masses on a support perpendicular to the axis of oscillation and mounted by elastic torsion means on a base so as to allow the mechanical coupling of the oscillation of the two masses,

   characterized in that the elastic means are constituted by at least three blades, inscribed in at least two planes intersecting along an axis parallel to the axis of the oscillator.

  The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the invention.

  Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section.

  Fig. 2 is a section on II-II of FIG. 1. The oscillator has two superimposed oscillating arms 1 and 2 each fixed to one of the ends of a spring device 3, itself embedded by its central part in a support consisting of a plate. The latter, which protrudes laterally from the arms, is mounted using four elastic blades 5, fixed to the plate 6 of the movement, on either side of these arms.

   The elastic blades 5 are inscribed in planes passing through the axis of oscillation. The other technical characteristics of the oscillator as well as its operation have been described in detail in Swiss patent No. 385745 and will not be repeated here.

  The arrangement of the elastic blades 5 ensures an easy limited rotation of the masses of the oscillator and opposes the tilting of the support 4. Of course this support 4, which in the present example of execution consists of a plate, could be replaced. by radial elements, for example arms fixed to the spring device 3, which would then be directly mounted on the elastic leaves 5.

  This fixation of the oscillator allows torsional coupling at a relatively low frequency, close to the useful natural frequency of the oscillator, while it is very rigid with respect to a tilting stress, for example under the effect external shocks.
