Upward Twisting Spindle The present invention relates to an upward twisting spindle having a pot rotating with the spindle and surrounding the bobbin.
It has been shown that an upward twisting spindle, which is provided with a pot rotating with the spindle, can run with a significantly higher number of revolutions than one without a pot, without having to reckon with larger numbers of yarn breaks. In the case of an upward twisting spindle without a pot, the thread is braked slightly as it runs off by the friction of the still air. With an upward twisting spindle with a rotating pot, the running thread is not exposed to any air resistance on its circular path around the spindle, because the air enclosed in the pot joins the circular movement of the spindle. On the other hand, there is strong friction between the outside of the pot and the still air surrounding it, which increases the power requirement and thus the development of heat.
An essential factor here are the air eddies that occur between each two spindles and derive from the opposite direction of movement of the sides facing each other.
The invention has the task of eliminating these disadvantages and of creating an improved design. The object is achieved in that the pot rotating with the spindle is surrounded by a stationary casing.
In an advantageous embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, the casing is provided with a suction nozzle. In this way, the heated air located in this annular space can be sucked out before the operating personnel is bothered by it.
In the drawing, an example Ausfüh approximately form of the subject invention is shown. Fig. 1 shows the elevation of an upward twisting spindle with umlau fendem pot and stationary casing, the latter being shown in section and Fig. 2 shows the plan of this device.
An upward twisting spindle 1 receives its movement in a known manner by means of a belt or belt 2. The upward twisting spindle 1 carries a discharge spool 3 to which a pot 4 is connected, which is expediently closed by a cover 5. The cover 5 has a preferably central Fadenaus passage 5 ', through which a thread 6 is passed from the bobbin 3 upwards to a take-off and winding device, not shown. The cover 5 also has the purpose of enabling easy replacement of the pay-off spool 3. The lid 5 is attached to the pot 4 and / or attached to the latter in any known manner.
When the upward twisting spindle 1 is driven, the pot 4 and the lid 5 are thus also set in rotation. The air inside the pot 4 is thus also made to rotate. The relative speed between this rotating air and the thread 6 running off the bobbin 3 is thus low.
Centered to the spindle 1 is a stationary cylindri cal sleeve or casing 7 which surrounds the pot 4 rotating with the spindle 1. The distance between the pot 4 and the casing 7 is advantageously about 10 mm. The air located in the space between the pot 4 and the inner wall of the casing 7 heats up during the rotation of the pot 4 due to the friction. The heated air can emerge from the casing 7 at the top. A vortex formation between two adjacent spindles 1 is thus avoided.
In a further embodiment of the invention, the casing 7 can be provided with one or more openings or with pipe stubs 8 which lead or lead to a line (not shown). In this line, for example, the heated air can be sucked off by applying a negative pressure.
The casing 7 itself can, however, have any other cross-section instead of a circular one or be arranged eccentrically to the spindle. For example, the casings of two or more adjacent spindles can also be combined to form a structural unit.
