Seven-lens magnifying glass The invention relates to a seven-lens magnifying glass with at least 50 image angles, an aperture ratio of at least 1: 1 and a back focus of at least 80% of the focal length.
Such a magnifying glass can also be used as an eyepiece for viewing an image drafted in the air instead of viewing an illuminated diffusely scattering or luminous flat object, for example the image surface of a cathode ray tube. The angle of view is at least 50; Color errors and color magnification errors can be largely corrected in a known manner.
The magnifying glass according to the invention is distinguished by the fact that two asymmetrical biconvex lenses are enclosed by two cemented elements, the eye-side consisting of two lenses, the object-side consisting of three lenses, both members turning the hollow surface outwards and the radius ratio of these outer surfaces between 2: 1 and 3: 1.
The radius ratio, again from the sign, for the biconvex lens facing the eye is expediently between 4: 1 and 6: 1, preferably 5: 1, while for the biconvex lens facing the object to be viewed it is expediently between 1 , 5: 1 and 2.5: 1, preferably 2: 1, regardless of the refractive index of the glass for these converging lenses.
The refractive index of the two glasses in the meniscus on the eye side, which should not be below 1.7, preferably around 1.8, plays a significant role in the correction.
