Compressed gas switch with multiple interruption The main patent relates to a compressed gas switch with multiple interruption, the power switching points of which are arranged in pairs in switching chambers that are constantly under pressure gas and with auxiliary switching points parallel to each power switching point in series with a resistor, at least the latter in an auxiliary switching point that is also constantly under pressure gas - the switching chamber is housed and the hollow, fixed contact pieces of the power switching points facing each other have a common,
Have briefly opening exhaust valve and the movable hollow auxiliary switching pieces are mechanically coupled to the movable exhaust valve member in such a way that the auxiliary switching points are closed when the exhaust valve is open. In addition, the mutually facing ends of the auxiliary contact pieces open into a space which, when the exhaust valve is open, is connected to the outside via a hollow rod serving the coupling with the exhaust valve element.
In this design, the common exhaust valve is opened briefly when it is switched off and, as a result of the coupling with the auxiliary contact, the resistor that can be connected in parallel with the power switching point is briefly switched on so that it becomes effective as a switch-off resistor.
When the power switching point is switched on, however, the exhaust valve remains at rest, namely closed, and thus the auxiliary contact is opened, so that the resistance is not effective. In certain cases, however, it is desirable to use the switch-off resistor as a switch-on resistor, that is to say to close the auxiliary contact pieces shortly before switching on the power switching point and to open them again after switching on. According to the invention this is achieved in that the hollow rod has a drive piston drilled through, which is guided in a cylinder,
one space below the drive piston is connected to the control line via a check valve opening in the inflow direction and the other space above the drive piston via a check valve opening in the outflow direction.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention will be explained with the aid of the drawing. 1 shows a section of a compressed gas switch and FIG. 2 shows a detail of a further embodiment of the drive device on an enlarged scale.
The pressure gas switch shown in Fig. 1 is essentially already described in the main patent, so that reference only needs to be made to those parts which are required to understand the new arrangement and which are yet to be added. The same references are used for parts wel che with those of the embodiment described in the main patent. The control line 22, which opens into the space 32 below the pierced drive piston 18, contains the check valve 30 which can open in the inflow direction.
The space 33 above the piston 18 is also connected by means of the line 35 to the control line 22 with the interposition of the check valve 31. However, this can only open when pressurized gas flows back from the space 33 into the control line 22.
This achieves the following mode of action: If, as already described in more detail in the main patent, the lines 13 and 22 are pressurized with compressed gas to switch off, the switching pieces 4, 5 of the power switching points separate on the one hand, while the one in the cylinder 34 led on the other Piston 18 is moved upwards and thereby opens the exhaust valve 16 and the auxiliary switching pieces 23 coupled by means of the hollow rod 17 and the angle lever 20 are brought into the on position. They briefly touch the fixed counter-contact pieces 25, where the resistors 26 take effect.
After a short time, the exhaust valve 16 is closed again and the auxiliary switching points 23, 25 geöff net again that pressure equalization takes place in the spaces 32, 33 on both sides of the piston 18 due to its bore, so that the spring 19 the piston 18 returns to the position shown. If the control lines 13, 22 are vented to turn on, space 33 is emptied via line 35 and the non-return valve 31 that is now opening, causing the pressure trapped in space 32, which is only slowly reduced through the bore in piston 18 can, pushes the piston 18 upwards.
As a result, the auxiliary switching points 23, 25 are closed and the resistors 26 act as switch-on resistors, since the closing of the auxiliary switching points 23, 25 occurs somewhat earlier than the closing of the power switching points 4, 5, which can easily be achieved by suitable dimensioning . After pressure equalization in the spaces 32, 33 has taken place via the bore in the piston 18, the spring 19 brings the auxiliary contact pieces 23 into the switched-off position here too.
Since the exhaust valve 16 also performs a brief opening movement when it is switched on, the switch-on arcs are blown out. In certain cases, however, it is possible to dispense with such blowing and save the pressure gas consumption otherwise required. This means that the hollow rod only needs to be carried along by the exhaust valve in the opening direction.
In Fig. 2 such an embodiment is Darge provides. As far as it is; about the same parts as in Fig. 1, the same references are used. The hollow rod 17 is guided with its drive piston 18 in the cylinder 34. In this case, however, it is not firmly connected to the exhaust valve element 45, but rather slidably mounted therein. The exhaust valve member 45 has a piston 40 fixedly connected to it, with a bore 40 a, which closes off the space 32 from the space 44. The latter is connected to the volume 43 via the bore 42.
In an upward movement, the rod 17 is frictionally mitgenom men through the exhaust valve element 45 through the intermediate ring 41. When the control line 22 is acted upon with compressed gas to switch off, the compressed gas passes through the; opening check valve 30 into the space 32 below the piston 40 and on the one hand opens the exhaust valve 45 and on the other hand lifts the rod 17 upwards, whereby the auxiliary switching pieces 23 are brought into the on position via the angle lever 20. During this process, the piston 18 does not have any drive function.
After a short time, the spaces 44 and 33 fill up as a result of the bores 40a and 18a, and the volume 43 is also filled with pressurized gas via the bore 42. The spring 19 is then able to push the rod 17 and the exhaust valve element 45 back into the position shown. Through the bore 45a also [pressurized gas reaches the top of the exhaust valve member 45 and keeps it closed due to the excess of effective surface. If the control line 22 is vented when switching on, the check valve 31 opens and the space 33 is quickly emptied via the line, so that the piston 18 and thus the rod 17 is driven upwards.
Here, the space 44 and the volume 43 serves as a drive volume, since the compressed gas can only slowly escape through the bore 18a. The exhaust valve element 45 remains at rest because, as mentioned above, it is held in the closed position by a pneumatic force. After a short time, as a result of the bores 18a, 40a and 42 in the spaces 32, 33, 44 including the volume 43, ventilation also takes place, as a result of which the spring 19 brings the rod 17 back into the position shown and thus the auxiliary contact pieces 23 into the disconnected position pulls.
The embodiment according to FIG. 2 allows the switch to be modified in a simple manner by omitting the intermediate ring 41 so that the resistance is only effective when the switch is switched on by the exhaust valve opening briefly when switching off as described without the rod 17 being moved and so that the auxiliary contact pieces 23 are closed.
