Fig. 2 zeigt eine andere Ausführungsform der Erfindung.
Compressed air switch In compressed air switches, it is an advantage if the movable contact of the power switching point during its opening movement can be stopped for a moment in a favorable position for the extinguishing conditions from the fixed contact of the power switching point.
It is known that this temporary braking of the movable contact can be achieved by keeping it separate from the actual Actuating organ at the beginning of the opening movement and moving in the opposite direction towards this organ and only meeting the actuating organ at the said favorable distance leaves, whereupon it is pneumatically coupled with this and stopped for a moment, only to be led into the completely open position with a certain delay. This Be actuating mechanism thus contains, in addition to valves and special arrangements for the pneumatic coupling, at least two other movable parts, which can cause certain inconveniences.
The present invention seeks to provide a compressed air switch, the actuating mechanism of which has the advantageous function mentioned above, but in which the movable contact and its actuator are connected to one another, for. B. are made in one piece. The compressed air switch comprises a container filled with compressed air, which contains a power switching point, the moving contact of which is provided with a blown air duct and connected to a piston, one side of which delimits a first space that is connected to the open air via an actuating valve for the purpose of closing the power switching point or connected to the compressed air for the purpose of opening the power switching point who can.
The invention is characterized in that the other side of the piston delimits a second space which is constantly connected to the compressed air switch via a throttle arrangement. In the latter case, the air in said second space, the volume of which is reduced by the piston, is compressed even more due to the throttle arrangement.
By appropriately dimensioning the space. the piston can be stopped during its rapid opening movement at a distance that is favorable for the extinguishing conditions from the fixed contact by the air cushion which it compresses in the second space. Since during this time an air balance between the second space and the container can take place in that air flows through the throttle arrangement, the movable contact can be slowly driven into the completely open position after it has been stopped by the compressed air cushion .
In order to ensure that the movable contact closes quickly, it is advisable to connect the throttle arrangement with a non-return valve or to pass through such a valve for the purpose of free supply of compressed air to the second room, e.g. B. from the container to be arranged.
In order to be able to finally fix the distance at which the movable con tact is stopped by the fixed contact, said second space is expedient during the first part of an interrupting element until the movable contact is the distance from the fixed suitable for deletion Contact has reached the power switching point, brought into connection with the compressed air through a pressure equalization channel. As a result, the pressure in the second space can be quickly equalized, and additional compression of the compressed air in this space does not take place before the pressure equalization channel has been closed.
This can expediently be carried out by the piston, which blocks the connection between the second space and the pressure compensation channel when the movable contact has the desired distance from the fixed contact. A check valve for the flow from the second space to the compressed air tank is advantageously arranged in the pressure equalization channel so that compressed air is not supplied to the wrong side of the piston when the power switching point is closed.
An extremely simple actuating mechanism can be obtained if the blown air duct is closed in the completely closed and completely open position of the movable contact by a valve disk firmly connected to the movable contact. This gives an actuation mechanism which, together with the movable contact, has only one movable part, apart from the check valves mentioned.
The accompanying drawings show two ver different embodiments of the invention. In Fig.l 1 denotes a container constantly filled with compressed air, in the wall of which a mechanism housing 2 is inserted. 3 with a resilient fixed contact and 4 with a movable contact denotes net. The movable contact 4 is connected by means of a piston rod 5 to a piston 6, one side of which delimits a first space 8 and the other sides of a second space 7. In the movable contact 4 a blown air channel 9 is arranged, which can be connected through openings 10 in the mechanism housing 2 to the open air.
A valve plate 11 for closing the blown air duct 9 in the completely closed and in the completely open position of the movable contact 4 is arranged on the piston rod 5. A spring 12 presses the movable contact 4 against the fixed contact 3. The spring 12 can optionally also be arranged in the space 7. The space 7 communicates with the container 1 through a line 13. A check valve 14 is arranged in the line 13, which allows the compressed air to flow freely from the container 1 to the space 7. In the check valve 14, a Drosselöff opening 15 is arranged. Actuating air can be supplied to space 8 through line 16.
The switch is opened in that the space 8 on the lower side of the piston 6 compressed air is supplied. The movable contact 4 initially moves upwards quickly, but is stopped by the compressed air compressed by the piston 6 in the space 7 at a suitable distance from the fixed contact 3. Compressed air from the container 1 flows against the arc in the power switching point and out through the blown air duct 9 to the free air through the openings 10.
Because of the throttle opening 15, the pressure in space 7 gradually drops to the same value as in container 1, and the movable contact is slowly moved further into the completely open position, with the blown air channel 9 being blocked by opening the openings 10 from the valve disk 11 getting closed.
The power switching point is closed in that the line 16 is brought into connection with the open air. The check valve 14 is now opened so that the space 7 is quickly filled again with compressed air from the container 1 and the movable contact is thereby very quickly led to the fixed contact 3. Even during the closing process, a blowing current is obtained against the power switching point. The construction has the further advantage that no sliding rubber seals are neces sary, which contributes to a good simultaneous cooperation of the contacts when opening and closing a switch provided with several series-connected switching points.
Fig. 2 shows another embodiment of the invention. The mechanism is the same as that shown in Fig. 1, with the exception that the line 13 is seen ver with a controllable throttle valve 17 in side circuit with a check valve 18, which allows a free flow of compressed air from the container 1 to the space 7. In the wall of the actuating cylinder Be of the piston 6 there is an opening 20 which is in communication with the line 13 via a pressure equalization channel 19.
A check valve 21 for free flow from space 7 to line 13 is net angeord in the pressure equalization channel 19. The opening 20 is arranged in such a way that it is closed by the piston 6 when the movable contact 4 has reached an appropriate distance from the fixed contact 3.
The switch is opened in that pressurized air is supplied through line 16. Here who the piston 6 and the con tact 4 connected to it quickly led upwards. The air in space 7 is initially pressed out through the pressure equalization channel 19 and thus not yet compressed further. Only when the piston has come so far that the movable contact 4 has reached an appropriate distance from the fixed contact 3, the opening 20 is closed by the piston 6, whereby the pressure in the space 7 increases rapidly and the piston 6 stops moving becomes. The pressure equalization takes place through the throttle valve 17, and the pressure in space 7 assumes the same value as the pressure in container 1 with a certain delay.
The piston 6 is driven into a position which corresponds to the fully open power switching point. The closing of the power switching point takes place in the same way as in the embodiment of FIG. 1, but the compressed air from the check valve 21 is prevented from flowing into the actuating cylinder on the wrong side of the piston 6.
Another advantage of the described embodiments of the actuating mechanism is that the impact forces when the movable contact is closed are absorbed by the mechanism housing and not by the implementation (not shown) that carries the fixed contact 3. This is based on the fact that the fixed contact is resilient and that a closing shock is absorbed by the fixed sealing surfaces of the mechanism housing.
