Description
Lightweight building board The subject matter of the present invention is a lightweight building board with three boards connected in layers along their flat sides.
There are designed as composite panels lightweight plates are known which essentially a light, mechanically hardly stressable middle plate aufwei sen, on the opposite flat sides ever a relatively thin cover plate is glued, which consists of a much more stressable material in compression and tension.
Glued wood chips or foam are known as middle panels and metal, sheet metal, plywood or Novopan panels as cover panels. Such lightweight panels have the advantage that they have a good insulating effect and are generally light. Disadvantages of these known designs are the high costs, a weight that is still too great, insufficient machinability and insufficient durability of nails or screws driven into a plate or too great a sensitivity to heat and moisture.
The purpose of the present invention was to create a lightweight panel which eliminates the disadvantages mentioned while maintaining the same mechanical strength properties as the known panels.
The lightweight panel according to the invention is characterized in that the middle panel is a rigid foam panel, on the opposite flat sides of which a pressed wood fiber panel, preferably hard pavatex panel, is glued with its rough side. Using the accompanying schematic drawing, a lightweight panel according to the invention is explained as an example.
A middle plate 2 made of a high-density foam, preferably polyurethane Daltolac 51, is coated on its opposing flat sides 2a with a glue 3, which is preferably made of a heat-resistant, moisture-insensitive material.
The glue available from Bally Chemie under the registered brand name Balco ST is preferably used.
A hard pavatex plate 1 is glued onto each of the sides 2a covered with glue, with its rough sides facing the middle plate 2 and its smooth sides facing outwards.
Such panels are ver usable as partitions or insulating walls or as an insulating layer on existing stone walls. Because of their low weight and their high mechanical strength, they are particularly suitable as support elements for boat building.
