Die beim Bau von Wäschezentrifugen herrschende Tendenz zur Senkung der Herstellungskosten führt dazu, dass die Zentrifugen zunehmend leichter werden, weil man für das Gehäuse und die Trommel immer geringere Blechstärken verwendet; ausserdem versucht man mit billigeren und dadurch meistens schwächeren Motoren auszukommen. Die Leichtbauweise führt indessen zu einer wesentlich herabgesetzten Standfestigkeit. Dazu kommt, dass man natürlich auch versucht, den Trom melinhalt so gross wie möglich zu machen, ohne die Aussenabmessungen der Zentrifuge zu vergrössern;
Die elastische Lagerung besteht aus auf einem zur Motorwelle 4 kon zentrischen Kreis gleichmässig angeordneten elastischen Elementen 6, die als Tracke ausgebildet sind und bei spielsweise aus Gummi bestehen;
Bei Schwingungen in radialer Richtung erfahren die elasti schen Elemente 6 eine Auslenkung, die in Fig. 2 sche- matisch dargestellt ist, wobei der Einfachheit halber an genommen ist, dass sich der Punkt 6b in der Mitte der Länge L des elastischen Elementes 6 befindet, und das letztere über seine .gesamte Länge die gleiche Federcha- rakteristik aufweist;
EMI0002.0129
Setzt man
EMI0002.0130
so gilt für die Rückstellkraft:
EMI0002.0132
Centrifuge, in particular laundry centrifuge The invention relates to a centrifuge, in particular a laundry centrifuge, in the housing of which the spin unit gat consisting of the motor drive with a vertical shaft and attached drum is elastically mounted in such a way that it is both in the axial and in the radial direction can swing.
The tendency in the construction of laundry centrifuges to lower the manufacturing costs leads to the fact that the centrifuges are becoming increasingly lighter because ever thinner sheet metal is used for the housing and the drum; In addition, one tries to get by with cheaper and therefore mostly weaker motors. The lightweight construction, however, leads to a significantly reduced stability. In addition, one naturally tries to make the drum content as large as possible without increasing the external dimensions of the centrifuge;
this leads to a reduction in the radial distance between the drum and the centrifuge housing, so that the demands on the suspension, through which the imbalance forces that are always present, are always higher.
Mn can consider the centrifugal drum and the rigidly connected motor as a rotating system with static and dynamic unbalance. The imbalance forces can always be broken down into two components, one force component running at right angles and the other force component running parallel to the motor axis.
If the suspension has a degree of freedom in a direction perpendicular to the motor axis, the system rotates eccentrically about an axis parallel to the motor axis, the so-called unbalance axis; if, on the other hand, the suspension has a degree of freedom in the vertical direction, the system performs a tumbling motion. Most of the known suspension systems have degrees of freedom in both directions.
With all elastic suspensions there are critical frequencies with resonance phenomena which lead to excessively large oscillation amplitudes if no measures are taken to dampen them.
The resonance frequency is a function of the stiffness of the suspension in the direction of vibration, namely the higher the resonance frequency, the stiffer the suspension eats. In general, it is not possible to move the resonance outside of the spin speed range because the spin itself only has a limited stiffness, so that in such a case the entire spin would vibrate.
However, you can keep the oscillation amplitude low by damping the oscillations of the system. The damping elements absorb part of the power delivered by the engine, i. In other words, the stronger the damping required for a system, the more power the engine has to provide in order to pass through the critical speeds.
Apart from resonance phenomena, it is advisable to provide the possibility of sufficient freedom of movement in the radial direction so that the drum can adjust itself to its unbalance axis. As already mentioned, this axis runs parallel. to and eccentrically around the motor axis; their distance is directly proportional to the imbalance and indirectly proportional to the speed.
In all previously known elastic suspension conditions, attempts were made to control the vibration amplitude by damping, and by means of. a high engine acceleration to drive through the critical speeds as quickly as possible. However, the strong damping and the high motor acceleration require the installation of a more powerful motor, which has an adverse effect on the manufacturing costs of the centrifuge.
The purpose of the invention is to create a centrifuge with an elastic mounting of the centrifugal unit, which is able to compensate for all vibrations generated by imbalance in the entire spin speed range, with a minimum of damping to the drum deflections and the motor power in terms of to keep the reduction in weight and manufacturing costs as low as possible.
The task serving to achieve this purpose is to coordinate the suspension characteristics of the elastic bearing in the axial and radial directions of oscillation so that the natural frequency shifts with increasing oscillation amplitude in the radial direction.
In the centrifuge forming the subject of the invention, in particular a laundry centrifuge, in the housing of which the spinning unit consisting of the motor drive with a vertical shaft and attached drum is elastically mounted in such a way that it vibrates in both the axial and radial directions can, this task is solved by
that the restoring force R, which can be represented as a function of the amplitude a, is the equation of a higher parabola of the first order in the axial direction of oscillation and the equation of a curve of the general form in the radial direction of oscillation: R = cia -f- c, an (n * 1) (n $ 0) fulfilled.
Because the radial stiffness is not the same as the axial stiffness, the suspension has two critical speeds; with one the Schleuderaggre gat an eccentric movement and with the other a tumbling movement. It seems particularly useful, in contrast to most known suspensions, to shift the axial natural frequency upwards,
because at higher speeds the gyroscopic effect of the drum counteracts the tumbling movement and thus has a stabilizing effect.
The invention is illustrated schematically in the drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of a centrifuge according to the invention, in longitudinal section,
Fig. 2 shows the web and power relationships in the hori zontal deflection of the centrifuge of the centrifuge shown in Fig. 1 under the effect of an imbalance and Fig. 3 shows an element of the elastic mounting of the centrifuge according to FIG. 1, in an enlarged view.
In Fig. 1, an embodiment of the centrifuge according to Invention is shown. Inside the centrifuge housing 2 standing on rubber feet 1, the centrifugal unit consisting of the electric motor 3, the vertical shaft 4 and the centrifugal drum 5 is elastically supported so that it can oscillate in both the axial and radial directions.
The elastic mounting consists of on a concentric circle to the motor shaft 4 evenly arranged elastic elements 6, which are designed as a track and consist of rubber for example;
their cross-sectional shape is arbitrary, but preferably circular. The elastic elements 6 are attached with their upper ends 6a to a support element 7 designed as a support ring and with their lower ends 6b to a support arm 8 formed from support element 8 arranged in the bottom area of the centrifuge housing 2.
Between the ends 6a, 6b, the elastic elements 6 carry the centrifugal unit 3, 4, 5 by means of a flange 9 which is arranged on the electric motor 3 and which is connected to the ela-elastic elements 6 at the point 6c. Thanks to this elastic bearing, the centrifugal unit can vibrate both in the axial and in the radial direction.
In the event of vibrations in the radial direction, the elastic elements 6 experience a deflection, which is shown schematically in FIG. 2, whereby for the sake of simplicity it is assumed that the point 6b is located in the middle of the length L of the elastic element 6, and the latter has the same spring characteristics over its entire length;
Of course, implementation foxms are also possible in which one or both of the requirements do not apply.
In Fig. 2, the deflection angle a corre sponding horizontal oscillation amplitude: the mass m denoted by a. The elongation of the cord caused by the latter is
EMI0002.0116
This elongation, together with the initial tension S of the cord (= pre-tension), gives a resulting tensile force in the cord of the same size
EMI0002.0122
where F is the cross section of the cord in [cm2] and E is the modulus of elasticity of the cord material in [kg / cm2].
This is the restoring force acting on the mass m
EMI0002.0129
If you set
EMI0002.0130
the following applies to the restoring force:
EMI0002.0132
d. H. the restoring force R in the radial direction of oscillation fulfills the equation of a curve of the general form R = cla + Clan (n * 1) (n * 0) while the restoring force R in the axial direction of oscillation fulfills the equation of a higher parabola of the first order .
The differential equation of the vibration of the mass m in the radial vibration direction is
EMI0002.0142
It can be seen from this that with small oscillation amplitudes a, the last link can be neglected if the initial tension S (pre-tension) of the cord is sufficiently large; In this case there is a simple harmonic oscillation of the mass m in the radial direction.
However, if the amplitude a increases, the last term of the differential equation can no longer be neglected; in this case the restoring force R increases with the third
The power of the amplitude increases, so that the natural frequency shifts upwards with increasing oscillation amplitude. In other words: an increase in amplitude caused by resonance is avoided without the need for additional damping means ..
The elastic elements 6 can be designed in a particularly advantageous manner as elongated cords with a circular cross-section, consisting of a rubber-elastic material. Such a cord is shown in FIG. In the embodiment shown there, the cross section of the cord is the same size in its upper and lower part.
However, it could be larger in the lower part; Such an enlargement of the cross-section is intended to produce additional rigidity in order to shift the resonance into the optimal range.
If the tension forces in the upper and lower part of the cord are of different magnitude, the resultant is not directed horizontally in the event of the centrifugal unit being radically deflected and thus results in a horizontal component representing the radial restoring force and a vertical component.
The vertical component provides an additional stabilizing effect against the tumbling movement of the centrifugal unit or the drum.
In order to change the spring characteristics in the upper and / or lower part of the elastic elements made of elastic material, inserts can be embedded in the elastic material, which can consist of coil springs or natural or synthetic monofilaments or multifilaments (z. B. Polyami den).
However, one could also make the elastic elements completely rigid in their upper part and only provide short cords for hanging.
According to a further embodiment of the inven tion concept, the support members can be combined to form a support frame; this can be attached to the centrifuge housing at its lower end, if necessary with the interposition of elastic intermediate members.
In order to avoid the transmission of vibrations from the support frame to the centrifuge housing with certainty, the support frame can also be attached independently of the centrifuge housing, namely on the elastic feet of the latter or - if the centrifuge housing is on one as elastic Base-acting rubber ring rests - on this elastic base.
So that the centrifuge can be adapted quickly and easily to other operating conditions, it is advisable to make the bias of the elastic ele ments changeable; This can be achieved, for example, by means of wing nuts that sit on the ends of the elastic elements provided with a screw bolt and increase the preload of the elastic elements when screwing further in the tightening direction, but decrease it in the opposite direction.
