In.
Auxiliary device for soft soldering The invention relates to an auxiliary device for soft soldering. When soft soldering, it is common to hold a soldering iron with one hand and bring it to the connection point to be soldered and to apply the solder, possibly with the flux, with the other hand. Both hands are therefore required for this and the piece to be soldered must therefore be fixed.
This presents difficulties even when soldering two wires together. The invention aims to create an auxiliary device which simplifies the soldering of complicated parts and also allows the soldering of several identical parts to be semi or fully automated and, for B. lead trainees on the assembly line.
The auxiliary device according to the invention is characterized by the combination of a supply roll with solder in wire form, an electric motor with a feed roll that can be driven via a reduction gear and a pressure roll, a wire guide hose with a nozzle arranged at the end and having an opening adapted to the solder wire diameter, the position of which corresponds to the object to be soldered is adjustable, and an electrical control contact for the electric motor, the whole thing in such a way
that a brief closure of the STEU erkontaktes causes a piece of solder wire required for soldering to be pushed out of the nozzle.
It is advantageous to accommodate the supply roll and the motor with its gear, the feed and the pressure roller in a box and to arrange a universally adjustable holder carrying a soldering iron, which is oriented so that its soldering tip is close by the nozzle feeding the solder wire. With such a device, both hands are free to hold the object to be soldered. The auxiliary device can be expanded to a soldering station for assembly line production using a few additional parts.
Some exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in simplified form in the drawing: FIG. 1 shows the essential parts of an auxiliary device for soft soldering; 2 shows some details on a larger scale; 3 shows a simple table-top device in side view; Fig. 4 is a soldering station for assembly line production in view; 5 shows a hanging device from the front and FIG. 6 shows the same device from the side, in partial view. In Fig. 1 the essential parts of a new auxiliary device are shown. They include a supply roll 1 with soft solder in the form of a wire 2. Preferably, the wire is made with a flux (e.g.
Resin) existing core, because then no flux needs to be added separately during soldering. 3 is an electric motor with a built-in reduction gear and a wire feed roller 4, which is mounted on a shaft 5 protruding from the motor reduction housing. The feed roller is knurled on the outside and interacts with a pressure roller 6 which is rotatably mounted on a rocker 7.
The rocker and thus also the roller 6 is pulled upwards by a tension spring 8 so that the soldering wire 2 is clamped between the rollers 4 and 6. A guide eyelet 9 with a trumpet-shaped insertion opening ensures that the solder wire unwinding from the roll 1 actually gets between the rolls 4 and 6. From there, the wire passes into a wire guide hose 10 with a smooth inner wall (e.g.
B. a nylon hose) and emerges at a nozzle 11, the opening of which is adapted to the wire diameter. So that the position of the nozzle 11 can be adapted to the object to be soldered, the hose 10 is guided in a semi-rigid metal hose 12, which remains in this position when it is bent. This allows the position of the nozzle arranged at its end to be adapted to the requirements when soldering. The nylon hose 10 is crimped at the nozzle and a smooth transition is provided everywhere,
so that the wire is not compressed during feed. If the length of the wire guide hose is long, it is easier to pull the wire through instead of pushing it. Such an arrangement is shown in FIG. 5 and will be explained with reference to this drawing. In Fig. 1, a part of a box wall 13 and a Z-shaped mounting plate 14 for the engine 3 is finally shown. On the mounting plate 14, the guide eye 9 and the pivot bearing 15 (see Fig. 2) of the rocker 7 is attached.
On the side of the box wall 13 holders 16 for an axis 17 are attached, about which the supply roll 1 can rotate freely.
In Fig. 3 a simple, in a box 30 is arranged table device is shown. The box has a cover 31 through which the parts described in Fig. 1 and 2 enclosed are accessible and the role can be replaced with solder wire when the wire is used up.
A universally adjustable holder is attached to this box and holds a known type of soldering iron. The holder comprises a rod 33 which is detachably fastened in the box so that it can be pulled out more or less far and rotated about its axis. At its end it has a joint 34 with a rod 35 which is clamped in the tube 36 by means of the nut 37. In this way, the length of the parts 35, 36 is also adjustable (telescopic) and rotatable.
The tube 36 carries at its end a wide tube 38 with six adjusting screws 39 which hold the soldering iron 32. The soldering iron is connected to a voltage source with an electrical cable 300. A cable 301 leads from the box 30 to a foot contact 302.
The operation with this device is very simple, because the nozzle 11 is directed so that the solder 2 in wire form can gelan conditions directly on the tip of the soldering iron. When soldering, the soldering iron is heated, the object to be soldered is brought to the tip of the soldering iron, heated there and a little soldering wire fed in at the right moment. The supply of solder wire can be precisely dosed in terms of quantity by pressing the foot contact 302 for a longer or shorter period of time.
It should be noted that the operator has both hands available to hold the object to be soldered or two objects to be connected by solder.
In. FIG. 4 shows a soldering station for assembly line production. Here, a device similar to that described for FIG. 3 is arranged tiltable. It is arranged on a column 42 such that it can be tilted about an axis 41 which runs approximately perpendicular to the wire feed hose. At the front of the column there is an adjustable stop 43 and at the rear there is a compressed air drive 44 which makes the tilting and a return spring 4.5 is provided.
The compressed air drive (cylinder and piston) is actuated by means of an electropneumatic valve 46, 47 being an air supply line, 48 being a connecting line to the drive and 49 being a ventilation line. In the drawing, the Be operating position of the device is shown with solid lines, the rest position with broken lines.
A framework for a conveyor belt is indicated by 400, on which a platform 401 with an object 402 to be soldered is moved along the device. Finally, an adjustable holder 403 is attached to the column 42, which holds an air hose 404 attached to the line 49. The operation is carried out in the process steps: 1. Conveyor belt brings object 402 under the soldering station and stops.
2. Electromagnetic valve 46 is actuated, device tilts and soldering iron 405 heats the solder joint. 3. By actuating another contact, solder is fed through the wire feed tube 406.
4. Valve 46 opens and the air behind the piston of the pneumatic drive escapes through line 49 and passes through hose 404 to the soldering point, which is thereby cooled. By escaping the air, the spring 45 can bring the device into the rest position and the tape can move on to the next station.
Depending on whether the soldering at such a soldering station is to be done fully automatically or semi-automatically, whoever makes the contacts that initiate the tilting and control the solder wire feed, either by an operator or automatically be in time with the assembly line.
5 and 6 show a soldering station which differs from the table-top unit already described (FIG. 3) because it is suspended from a rail 60 and that the solder wire feed is a little different. Here the distance from the roll to the nozzle is quite large and therefore the wire is pulled through the feed tube instead of being pushed. This hose does not need an outer shell to stiffen it, since in this device the nozzle should be moved towards the object to be soldered. For this purpose, the motor together with its reduction gear, the feed roller and the pressure roller is arranged as an assembly 61 in the vicinity of the nozzle 62 at the end of the hose 63. The unit 61 also has a holder 64 for a soldering iron 65.
In addition, the unit is provided with a handle 66, a handle 67 and a push button switch 68 and is suspended from a wire 69. The wire is attached to a mobile frame 600 which can be rolled on the rail 60 by means of its wheels 601. The Ge alternate 600 also carries an axis 602 on which a supply roll 603 rests with solder wire. A junction box 604 is attached to the side of the frame, to which a power supply cable 605 leads. From there, cables 606 lead to the soldering iron 65 and cables 607 to the feed motor of the unit 61.
The entire soldering station can now easily be moved along the rail 60. During operation, the point to be soldered is heated up by means of the soldering iron 65 and the required amount of solder wire is then supplied by pressing the button 68.
