Vorzugs weise verwendet man jedoch 0,5-3 g/Liter. Bekannte anionische Dispergiermittel sind z. B.

Process for dyeing or printing textile material made from metal-containing polyolefins The invention relates to a process for dyeing or printing textile material made from metal-containing polyolefins with dyes of the formula
EMI0001.0006
where R1 is the hydroxyl or amino group and R, # is a phenyl radical which is optionally substituted by substituents which do not make water soluble.
In the Belgian patent specification No. 639 409 and in the French patent specification No. 1320986 the dyeing of metal-modified polyolefins with structurally similar dyes is described. The dyes used according to the invention, however, have a better drawing ability on fibers made from metal-modified polyolefins compared to the next comparable dyes from the patents mentioned.
Particularly valuable dyes of the formula (1) are those which have the hydroxyl group as the radical R1, an unsubstituted or halogen, preferably 1 to 2 chlorine atoms, alkyl, especially 1 to 3 alkyl radicals having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, as the radical R. or phenyl radical substituted by cyano.
These dyes can be obtained by diazotizing an amine of the formula
EMI0001.0025
and coupling the obtained diazonium compound with a pyrazole derivative of the formula
EMI0001.0029
can be obtained in the usual way.
The textile materials to be dyed or printed can be in the form of fibers and threads in unprocessed form or in form processed into nonwovens, yarns, sliver, Ge or other textiles. Particularly preferred polyolefins are, for. B. polyethylene, polypropylene and polyisobutylene, which can be produced by any polymerization process. For example, polyethylene and polypropylene can be used that have been manufactured using the high pressure or low pressure process.
The complex for complex formation with a dye of the formula (I) neces sary metal is in the to be colored and to be printed moldings made of olefin polymers keep ent, for. B. from the production by polymerization of the monomers with the help of metals or metal compounds as polymerization catalysts. In other cases, metals or metal compounds are polymerized in as stabilizers.
In general, it is copper, calcium, cadmium, aluminum, titanium, zirconium, chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt or, in particular, nickel or zinc or compounds of the metals mentioned, which are present in amounts between about 0.01 and 1% and. in rare cases between 0.001 and 3% are contained in the polymers.
The dyeing, under which the padding is understood here, can be carried out according to methods known per se. The amount of dye used can be between approximately 0.01 and 5 g per 100 g of polymer. The pH range between approximately 1 and 7 is particularly favorable. The dyeing temperature is particularly expediently chosen between about 90 and 140 C. The liquor ratio can be varied within wide limits, e.g. B. between about 1: 3 and 1: 100 and particularly advantageously between 1: 3 and 1:40.
For liquor ratios above 1: 100, it is recommended even more than with smaller liquor ratios to add the neutral salts commonly used in dyeing, e.g. B. up to about 30% sodium chloride or calcined sodium sulfate, based on the polymer weight. Often the addition of mineral acids causes such. B. from sulfuric acid, or from stronger organic acids such as formic acid or acetic acid, that the colors are purer and deeper. About 1-4% of such an acid, based on the weight of the polymer, can be used.
The addition of ammonium sulfate, which is also frequently used in dyeing, e.g. B. bath in an amount of 1-2 g / liter of the dye, can be advantageous.
The commonly used dyeing auxiliaries, which are also useful in the present case, also include the dispersants which, for. B. can be anionic or nonionic. Mixtures of dispersants are also often very advantageous. It is often sufficient to add small amounts of a dispersant, e.g. B. from 0.2 g to one liter of dye liquor. However, preference is given to using 0.5-3 g / liter. Known anionic dispersants are e.g. B.
Condensation products of naphthalenesulfonic acids and formaldehyde and especially sodium dinaphthylmethanedisulfonic acid, esters of sulfosuccinic acid, Turkish red oil, sodium cetyl sulfate, lauryl alcohol sulfate and other alkali salts of sulfuric acid esters of fatty alcohols, alkali salts of sulfite cellulose liquor and soaps,
as well as alkali metal sulfates of glycerol fatty acid esters. Nonionic dispersants are e.g. B. addition products of about 3 to 40 moles of ethylene oxide with alkylphenols or fatty alcohols and their sulfuric acid esters.
The dyeings obtained have very good fastness properties, especially good fastness to light, rub and dry cleaning and good wet fastness properties, e.g. B. good water and wash fastness.
The parts mentioned in the following examples are parts by weight. The temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example 1 3.5 parts of 5-chloro-2-hydroxy-3-nitrobenzene-1,4'-azo-3'-methyl-1'-phenyl-5'-pyrazolone are used together with 3 Parts of the disodium salt of a dinaphthylmethane disulfonic acid and 3.5 parts of sodium sulfate were ground in a roller mill for 48 hours.
1 part of the dye preparation thus obtained is made into a paste with 1 part of water and slowly diluted with 3998 parts of water. 100 parts of polypropylene fibers containing 0.07% nickel in polymerized form are added to the dyebath obtained in this way at 50.degree. C., heated to boiling within 30-40 minutes and dyed at this temperature for 1 hour . It is then rinsed with cold 0 , soaped for 15 minutes at 70 ° C. with a solution containing 1 g / liter of a fatty alcohol sulfate, rinsed cold again and dried. The polypropylene fibers are colored deep brown.
If, instead of the 5 @ chloro-2-hydroxy-3-nitrobenzene-1,4'-azo-3'-methyl-1'-phenyl-5'-pyrazolone, 3-nitro-5-chloro-2-hydroxybenzene-1, 4'-azo-3'-methyl-1 '- (3 "-cyan) -phenyl-5'-pyrazolone is used, a similar coloration is obtained.
Example 2 1.5 parts of the dye preparation mentioned in Example 1 are made into a paste with 1.5 parts of cold water and slowly diluted with 997 parts of warm water of 50-60, which contains 1 g / liter of des Contains sodium salt of a sulfonated fatty acid. In the dye bath obtained in this way, 5 parts of ammonium acetate and 1 part of glacial acetic acid are added at 20, heated to 60 and 50 parts of a fabric are dispensed at this temperature:
Polypropylene fibers, which contain about 0.1% zinc in polymerized form, heated to boiling within 40 to 50 minutes and colored at this temperature for 11/2 hours. Then it is rinsed cold. The polypropylene fibers are colored deep brown.
