Description
Low-vibration connection The present invention relates to a low-vibration connection between an apparatus subject to vibration during operation and a rigid installation.
According to the invention, this connection is characterized in that the apparatus is fastened to the installation exclusively via vibration-damping elements.
Through this exclusively caused by vibration damping elements connections who, since no direct, d. H. There is rigid contact between the two parts to be connected, which may:
occurring vibrations of the apparatus are destroyed and thus disturbances often caused by such vibrations are avoided. This applies above all in places where harmless vibrations are amplified by resonance and, in addition to unpleasant noise, often lead to significant damage.
The invention is particularly suitable for low-vibration connection of a circulation pump in the feed line of a central heating system. For connecting the pump to the line, two connection pieces are expediently provided which are fitted into the inlet and outlet of the pump and the latter, exclusively via vibration-damping sealing rings.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. It shows:
1 shows a low-vibration connection between a circulation pump and two connection pieces for installation in the feed line of a central heating system, seen from the front and partially in section, and FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the connection according to FIG. 1.
For the low-vibration connection of a circulation pump 1 to the feed line (not shown) of a central heating system, connecting pipe pieces 4, 5 fitted into the inlet and outlet openings 2, 3 of the pump are used.
In the middle of the connection piece 4 there is a collar 6 which, with a flat sealing ring 7 in between, serves as an axial stop for the pump 1. At the upper end of the connection piece 4 there is a circumferential groove into which an O-ring 8 is inserted, which is used for centering and further sealing in the inlet 2 of the pump 1. The lower part of the connection piece 4 has an external thread 9 and .serves .fixing to the rigid pipe (not shown) serving in the boiler.
The upper connection piece 5 is basically constructed in the same way, that is to say it also has a collar 10 against which a flat sealing ring 11 is placed, as well as a circumferential groove with an inserted O-ring 12 at the lower end.
The upper part of the connection piece 5 does not have an external thread here, but is provided with a further circumferential groove with a placed O-ring, L3, and is simply inserted into the opening of the leading line (not shown).
The collars 6, 10 of the connecting pieces 4, 5 run out in feet 14, 15, which are used to fasten the connecting pieces 4, 5 on a base plate 16. This plate 16 is expediently rigidly connected to the supply and discharge lines (not shown) or to another stationary object (e.g. a wall, etc.). The connection pieces 4, 5 are fastened by means of screws 17 and nuts 18.
On this plate 16 several rubber pins 19 protruding to the front are arranged and come to rest on the underside of the pump flange 20. The purpose of this plate is to counteract any attempt by the pump 1 to rotate about the axis a.
It goes without saying that the bores 2, 3 of the .Pump ;, 1 are machined with the tolerance required for assembly using O-rings.
The construction shown allows a particularly rapid assembly of the individual parts and is less prone to failure.
The particular purpose of the low vibration of the connection is achieved by the fact that there is no direct metallic or even rigid contact between the possibly vibrating pump 1 and the connection pieces 4, 5 and the other auxiliary parts (e.g. 1-6), since all Connections are made via rubber or similar elements.
