Process for the production of a pressed watch case as well as watch case produced by the method The subject of the present invention is a method for the production of a pressed watch case with bezel, wherein the fold of the bezel that receives the watch glass is provided with an inwardly protruding, circumferential projection which is on the peripheral edge of the engages the inserted watch glass and holds it clamped in its position, whereby the circumference of the watch glass increases towards the movement, as well as a pressed watch case with bezel,
which has a fold that accommodates the watch glass, the fold being provided with an inwardly protruding, circumferential projection, which engages the peripheral edge of the inserted watch glass and holds it in a clamped position, the periphery of the watch glass increasing towards the movement.
Watch cases are often pressed from sheet metal, in particular pure gold cases are mainly pressed, especially those shaped cases that have a rectangular, barrel-shaped or other P-shaped dial cutout.
Pressed watch cases have the disadvantage, if they are pulled in one go, that the glass rebate into which (the watch glass is inserted cannot be pulled back at the same time. Up until now, this pulling back had to be carried out in a special machining process ; however, this requires complex measuring rails, especially in the case of molded housings.
Furthermore, the machining process weakens the housing and leads to expensive waste in the case of valuable material.
But if the glass rebate is not: backed up or behind, @d. H. is narrowed to the outside, experience has shown that the watch glass has a bad fit and easily falls out, especially since the peculiarity of the pressing process results in an outwardly widening fold, especially with thin-walled structures such as watch cases or glass hoops.
It has already been proposed to provide a fold, the diameter of which was larger than that of the glass, to insert the glass and to bead the protruding fold edge on all sides over the glass edge. This solution has the decisive disadvantage that it was no longer possible to replace or replace the glass without destroying the bezel, which ruled out the solution in question, particularly in the case of housings made of precious metals.
The present invention is based on the object of specifying a simple method, which enables the production of an undercut or undercut glass rebate in pressed watch cases or Watch case bezel made possible by simple means, without replacing a watch glass leading to the loss of the bezel.
This task winds. According to the invention, the rebate is pressed with a diameter corresponding to the largest watch glass circumference and then the outer edge of the rebate is compressed to form the projection with the aid of a press plunger that simultaneously acts on the entire edge and then the watch glass is inserted under radial contraction becomes.
The watch case produced by the method according to the invention is in turn characterized in that the rebate has an essentially constant diameter over most of its depth, corresponding to the largest watch glass circumference, and the inwardly protruding projection is formed by the upset outer edge of the glass rebate.

In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention is explained schematically and an embodiment of a watch case manufactured according to the relevant method is shown.
1 shows a press die suitable for carrying out the method according to the present invention.
Fig. 2 shows the clock gear arranged on a counter-pressure form.
3 shows a detail from the watch case with the glass rebate upset according to the invention.
With the aid of the flat press die 4 shown in FIG. 1, the watch case 1, which is arranged on the counterpressure piece 5 in FIG. 2 and is provided with the glass rebate 2, is upset on the outer edge of the glass rebate 2. As a result of this upsetting, an inwardly protruding, circumferential projection 3 is formed, by which the watch glass 6 which is inserted later is securely held.
For carrying out the method according to the present invention, it is particularly advantageous if the cylindrical inner edge of the glass rebate and the adjoining outer edge of the glass strip enclose an angle that is as acute as possible.
A particular advantage of the method according to the invention is that the inwardly protruding projection of the watch case, which holds the watch glass, is solidified by the economical deformation during the upsetting or crimping. The deformation can take place immediately after the pressing process,
in which the glass rebate has been formed in the housing, the housing can advantageously still remain on the same counter-pressure piece.
Another advantage for upsetting results from the fact that this deformation with press punches of any, for example, planar or concentric. can be made for a curved glass hoop, @so @that no special press dies are required to carry out the processing.
