Such a watch case is known in SU-A-482 710. This watch case has a case ring with external tabs for holding a bracelet and perforations, a crown tube, an upper part with threaded holes, a watch glass, a rotating ring with a dial, two sealing elements and a base part. The sealing elements are arranged in the housing ring in such a way that on the one hand the watch glass and on the other hand the bottom part are in engagement with the sealing elements in order to assemble the clockwork watertight. This watch case has the disadvantages that the case ring is visible from the outside, that the watch case does not give the impression of being flat and that the costs are very high when it is made of precious metal.
A watch case is known from EP-A-0 443 366, which contains an upper case, a lower case and a case ring. The upper and lower shells lie together with the edges so that the edges of the shells are visible. The top shell is made of glass. The watch case represents thus represents a special construction and thus receives a look that depends on it.
The invention as characterized in the claims solves the problem of creating a watch case for a wristwatch, which is designed in a modular manner and which can be freely designed and manufactured inexpensively while maintaining the watertight appearance.
The modular structure extends the scope for design outside the work carrier. The material for the work support, upper and lower part can be chosen freely, which results in a variety of designs. In particular, the possibility is created to manufacture the work carrier from inexpensive material in large quantities and to design the upper part or the bottom part with a small wall thickness, which advantageously leads to material savings, e.g. leads to precious metals. Furthermore, only the work carrier is to be machined, while the bottom part or upper part can be formed as pressed parts.
The invention is explained below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
