Device for injection purposes
Lager packs for medicinal products intended for injection purposes are known which contain two closed containers, one of which contains a sterile medicinal product in dry, solid form and the other contains a sterile injection medium.
In such a pack, the medicinal product in solid form and the sterile injectable medium can each be contained in separate ampoules. If this pack is to be used, then it is first necessary to provide a sterile injection syringe with an associated injection needle. Afterwards, the injection agent is removed from the with this injection syringe. sucked out an ampoule. The injection agent is then injected into the other ampoule, which contains the solid medical agent. After this medicament has dissolved in the medium or has been suspended in this, it is finally sucked back into the injection syringe, which is then ready for use.
In order to prepare and use a sterile injection syringe, a total of three operations are required when using the known pack before the injection can be carried out.
The present invention has set itself the task of producing a device which is significantly more time-saving. than the known packaging can be made ready for use.
According to the invention, such a device for injection purposes is characterized in that the container for the sterile injection agent simultaneously forms the guide cylinder of the injection syringe.
So-called double ampoules are still known. A characteristic embodiment of these double ampoules contains a solid healing agent and a sterile injection agent in each case separately from one another. By attaching an injection needle. on the ampoule and by rotating a portion of a threaded cap attached to the ampoule, the. the hollow needle attached to the cap pushed through the partition between the therapeutic agent and the injection agent. The latter can then be injected through the injection needle with the medicine dissolved in it.
However, on the one hand, such double ovals have a very complicated structure and, on the other hand, they have to be arranged in a special injection syringe body before the injection can be carried out. The production of such special injection syringe bodies as well as the production of the double ampoules are therefore associated with comparatively high costs.
When the device according to the invention is made ready for use, first the injection syringe, the guide cylinder of which, as he mentioned, contains the sterile injection medium, is put together, after which the said injection medium is injected into the container containing the medicament through the injection needle. The resulting solution or suspension is then sucked into the injection syringe, which is then ready for use.
By employing such a facility, there are only two. Operations required after which the e injection syringe is ready for use,
If a plastic injection syringe is used in an embodiment according to the invention, the device has the further advantage that cleaning or sterilization of the vented syringe is not necessary after the injection, but that it can simply be thrown away.
Such a syringe made of plastic material can namely be mass-produced extremely inexpensively.
In the device according to the invention, it can be advantageous to arrange the injection needle of the syringe in a cavity in the interior of the piston rod associated with the injection syringe during the packaging. This measure serves to save space and has the advantage that the injection needle can easily be kept sterile if the said cavity is closed with a cap.
The device according to the invention can be used in connection with any dry, solid preparation which is dissolved or suspended in a liquid medium. Among the soluble preparations are z. B. glucagen and antibiotics such as sodium penicillin, tetracycline hydrochloride, polymyxins, streptomycin and dihydrostreptomycin mentioned. Among the preparations that are in the form of dry solids, but have to be dissolved in water before use, are e.g. B.
Procaine penicillin, N, N'-dibenzylethylenediamine, debenzylpenicillin and methylprednisolone called. The pack can also be used in connection with compound preparations in which one or more components have to be dissolved and other components suspended. Mixtures of procaine penicillin, sodium penicillin and streptomycin can be mentioned as an example of this.
The invention is described, for example, with reference to the figures. Show it :
1 shows a storage packaging for medical bags of the type mentioned intended for injection purposes, viewed from above in the open state,
2 shows a piston rod with an injection needle stored therein and an associated closure,
3 shows a ready-to-use syringe for the piston rod according to FIG. 2 with a filling of sterile injection medium,
4 shows an ampoule with a pierceable closure containing a healing agent in solid form, FIG. 5 shows the injection process of a sberile injection agent from the assembled, ready-to-use injection syringe into the ampoule according to FIGS
Fig.
6 a ten-part packaging on top. view.
In Fig. 1, the item numbers 1, 2 and 3 designate closure flaps of the packaging 4, which is divided by a subdivision 5 into individual areas. The packaging 4 contains an ampoule 6 closed with a push-on closure 7 and filled with a drug in solid form, an injection syringe 9 filled with a sterile injection medium and a plunger rod 8 for use in connection with the injection syringe 9. The upper one, shown in dashed lines The edge of the subdivision 5 has a smaller distance from the bottom of the packaging than that shown in a solid line.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the piston rod 8 is provided with an external thread 10 at its lower end. It has a flange 11 at its upper end. The piston rod ,. The interior of which is designed to be hollow contains an injection needle 12 with a fastening device 13. After the injection needle 12 has been inserted into the piston rod 8, the latter can be closed by a cap 14.
The external thread 10 on the piston rod engages in a thread 15 in the interior of a piston 16 which, according to FIG. 3, is arranged in the interior of a syringe 9. The syringe 9 contains a sterile injection medium 17. An attachment 18, which is used to fasten the injection needle 12, at the emptying end of the injection syringe can be closed by putting on a cap 19.
The ampoule 20 shown in FIG. 4 with its pusher-type closure 7 contains a medical agent 21 in solid form which is made ready for injection in the following manner.
The cap 14 on the piston rod 8 is removed, the injection needle 12 is removed and pushed onto the attachment 18 after the cap 19 has been removed from it. The piston rod 8 is then screwed tightly into the piston 16 located inside the injection syringe and the injection agent 17 is injected into the ampoule 20 (see FIG. 5) after the closure has been pierced with the syringe of the injection needle 12. After dissolving or suspending the medical agent 21 in the injection agent 17, the solution or suspension is sucked into the injection syringe 9, which is then ready for use.
The pack according to FIG. 6 consists of a box 22 with a lid 23. The box 22 is divided by partitions 24 into a number of compartments. The number of compartments is chosen so that the box can hold a total of ten sets of injection packs, the jade-au of which consists of an ampoule 6, a plunger rod 8 and a syringe 9 that is disposable after use. Such a pack with ten injection sets is used for those cases in which a considerable number of individual packs is required.
Of course, the subject matter of the invention is not limited to the embodiments shown in the figures, but also includes all possible modifications within the scope of the general inventive concept.
