Syringes for agricultural purposes, in particular tree or vine syringes, for manual operation The usual syringes for agricultural purposes and in particular those for spraying liquid pest control agents usually have an airtight storage container for receiving the liquid to be sprayed. In the case of smaller units, the storage container is carried using shoulder straps or shoulder rests.
In order to push the liquid from the reservoir into the hose and from this through the syringe mouthpiece, an air pump operated by means of a hand lever is attached to the reservoir, by means of which the desired overpressure is generated in the reservoir. The advantage of such a simple syringe with purely manual operation is that it can be used anywhere, but the spraying of larger amounts of pest control agents is an extremely tedious job.
For spraying liquids of all kinds, the reservoir with a motor compressor has also been assembled into a unit and see this unit with wheels or sled runners. The use of a sufficiently long hose between the storage container and the syringe mouthpiece ensures that the unit can be used. In the case of a motor compressor that works with an electric motor, however, a possibly long cable must be carried along.
However, if the motor compressor works with an internal combustion engine, a considerable amount of noise cannot usually be avoided, quite apart from the fact that the required fuel quantities must also be placed in an additional tank of the unit. Syringe units with motor compressors are therefore relatively expensive units, the use of which for agricultural purposes only appears justified on a larger scale.
The present invention is concerned with a syringe for agricultural purposes, in particular with a tree or vine syringe, for manual operation, in which an airtight storage container is provided for receiving the liquid to be sprayed and the latter by means of compressed air from the storage container into the syringe tube and from it through the syringe nozzle.
A versatile and effortless usability of such a syringe is now achieved according to the invention in that a detachably connected compressed air bottle with a bottle tap is provided to generate the overpressure in the storage container.
In order to enable the use of small and light high-pressure cylinders, a safety valve is preferably attached to the storage container and a pressure reducing valve is expediently inserted between the connection for the compressed air cylinder and the compressed air line leading into the interior of the storage container Drawing schematically dargestell th embodiment of the present invention is an example
A portable storage container 1 is shown, the upper filling opening of which can be closed in a gas-tight manner by means of a screw-on lid 2. In order to enable the excess pressure that is still present to be blown off after the syringe has been used, a vent valve 3 is also installed at the top. A hose 4, which leads to the connection fitting 6 of the syringe mouthpiece 5, opens out at the bottom of the storage container 1. This connection fitting 6 provided with the handle 7 also has a shut-off valve which can be operated by means of the lever 8.
Fer ner a manometer 9 is attached to the connection fitting 6.
On the outside of the storage container 1, a compressed air cylinder 11 with a cylinder valve 12, which is measured for example for 200 atmospheres, is fastened in a detachable manner by means of a clamping bracket 10. The compressed air line 13 leading from the interior of the reservoir 1 leads to a pressure reducing valve 14 fastened to the outside of the reservoir 1 and the compressed air bottle 11 is releasably connected by means of the screw connection 15 to the inlet of the <RTI
ID = "0002.0016"> pressure reducing valve 14 connected. Finally, a safety valve 16 is also installed in the storage container 1 in order to prevent the pressure in the storage container 1 from rising from normal. The manometer 9 attached directly in the connection fitting 6 of the spray nozzle 5, however, provides a permanent control of the respective pressure conditions.
Otherwise, the syringe described is operated by correspondingly operating the bottle tap 12 and the pressure reducing valve 14.
The compressed air bottle 11 only needs to have a few liters of content in order to be able to spray amounts of liquid of several hundred liters. The compressed air cylinder 11 is therefore comparatively light and, compared to the storage container 1, which is required anyway, is hardly considered in terms of weight and volume. The syringe described is therefore mainly suitable as a portable unit. But it can also be designed as a larger unit on wheels or sled runners.
Furthermore, since the compressed air bottle can be easily removed and refilled, the syringe is simple and practically maintenance-free.
