35' an.
Pipe coupling for central buffer couplings of rail vehicles The invention relates to a pipe coupling for rigidly coupling central buffer couplings of rail vehicles, the similarly designed coupling heads of which have two rigid coupling claws that partially encompass each other in the coupled state and a laterally arranged, forward protruding guide horn.
There are already pipeline couplings for with telpufferkupplungen known, which are provided with a through part of the mating coupling during a Kupp treatment process against the force of a spring from a rear rest position about an axis of rotation in a front working position pivotable tube part. However, these pipe couplings have no protective devices whatsoever which could prevent foreign bodies from entering the pipe and contamination of the mouth of the pipe coupling when the pipe part is in the rest position.
The invention is based on the object of creating a pipe coupling for a central buffer coupling of the type specified above, which ensures reliable protection of the pipe when the pipe coupling is uncoupled from the ingress of foreign bodies and the mouth of the pipe coupling from contamination.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that on each central buffer coupling head there is mounted a pipe part which can be pivoted about an axis of rotation under the action of a counter coupling head in a front working position and by a constantly effective force in the absence of a counter coupling head in a rear rest position, whose front mouth is in the working position sealingly rests against the mouth of the counter tube part, and that the central buffer coupling head has a protective surface against which the mouth of the tube part comes to rest in a sealing manner in its rest position. The combination of the aforementioned features results in the further advantage that, under certain operating conditions, the shut-off valve that is usual in the pipeline upstream of the pipeline coupling can be omitted.
An advantageous embodiment of the pipeline coupling is obtained when the vertical line on the mouth surface of the pipe part at least approximately approximately intersects its axis of rotation and when the protective surface is at least approximately in the cylinder surface that sweeps the mouth when pivoting the pipe part.
If the pipeline is to be automatically vented in the event of an unintentional separation of the couplings, as is the case, for example, with the main air line, the protective surface within the surface section surrounded by the mouth when the pipe is in rest position can be part of a section in contact with the atmosphere Vent hole be perforated, which expediently has an ingress of foreign bodies verhin reducing protection device.
In order to check the mouth of the pipe part when the central buffer couplings are coupled, it is advantageous if the pipe part can be moved arbitrarily in the direction of movement from the working position to the rest position via the latter, the mouth of the pipe part in a freely accessible position got.
To simplify and accelerate the assembly and maintenance costs of the pipeline coupling, the axis of rotation, the pipe part and the part having the protective surface can be combined to form a single component that is easily detachably attached to the central buffer coupling head. In the drawings, an embodiment of the invention is shown, namely: Fig. 1 shows two with the pipe coupling equipped, uncoupled central buffer coupling heads in a view from below before the start of a coupling process, Fig. 2 the central buffer coupling heads according to Fig. 1 in the coupled position and Fig 3 a detail of the pipe coupling on a larger scale.
In all of the drawings, the same reference numbers refer to the same components.
The existing central buffer coupling heads 1 and 1 'opposite each other and ready for coupling according to FIG. 1 each have a hook-like coupling claw 5 or 5' and a prism-shaped coupling claw 7 or 7 'on their front face 3 or 3'. To the side and below the coupling claw 7 or 7 ', each coupling head 1 or 1' is provided with a guide horn 9 or 9 'which jumps forward in the coupled state and engages under the counter coupling head.
The coupling heads 1 and 1 'carry near their lateral, in the outer surface of the coupling claw 5 and 5' passing over limit a vertically downward, a pivot bil Dende bolt 11 or 11 ', on which two levers 13 and 15 and 13 'and 15' are rotatably mounted relative to one another. The lever 13 or 13 'carries at its end facing away from the bolt 11 or 11' a pipe part 17 or 17 'extending essentially in the longitudinal direction of the coupling. Furthermore, engages at the aforementioned end of the lever 13 or 13 'on the other hand on the coupling head 1 or 1' is suspended spring 19 or 19 ', which the lever 13 or 13' in the direction of rotation backwards, according to FIG counterclockwise, loaded.
The lever 15 or 15 'protrudes in Fig. 1 dargestell th, uncoupled position obliquely to the side and forward approximately in the extension direction of the lever 13 or 13' in the during the coupling process from Füh approximately horn 5 'or 5 to a mating coupling occupying space. The levers 13 and 15 or 13 'and 15' are connected to one another by a torsion spring 21 or 21 'which is tensioned backwards in the direction of rotation of the lever 15 or 15'. It is advantageous if the torsion spring 21 or 21 'is pretensioned and intercepted by a stop (not shown) between the levers 13 and 15 or 13' and 15 '.
The pipe part 17 or 17 'is connected at. Its rearward end via a hose line 23 or 23' and possibly via a shut-off valve to the pipe to be coupled, not shown. At its front end, the tubular part 17 or 17 'carries a sealing ring 25 or 25' surrounding its mouth. The pipe part 17 or 17 'has an obtuse-angled kink just behind the sealing ring 25 or 25', such that the vertical center line indicated by the line 27 or 27 'on the sealing surface of the sealing ring 25 or 25' the bolt 11 or 11 'intersects.
In the uncoupled state according to FIG. 1, the sealing surface of the sealing ring 25 or 25 'rests on a protective surface 29 or 29' which is located on a web 31 or 31 'extending downward just behind the end face 3 or 3' and within the half of the sealing surface of the sealing ring 25 or 25 'when pivoting the pipe part 17 or 17' to the bolt 11 or 11 'to be coated cylinder surface. The pipe part 17 or 17 'runs between two of its pivoting movements limiting, with the coupling head 1 or 1' connected to hits 33 and 35 or 33 'and 35'. In the uncoupled position, the tubular part 17 or 17 'rests against the stop 35 or 35' under the force of the spring 19 or 19 'according to FIG. 1.
When coupling the two coupling heads approach 1 and 1 'and the coupling claws 5, 7 and 5', 7 'and the guide horns 9 and 9' cause centering in the vertical and horizontal directions. During the coupling process, the front surfaces of the guide horns 9 and 9 'run on the outer ends of the levers 15' and 15 and rotate the latter around the bolts 11 and 11 'in a clockwise direction. Over the hard acceleration bumps when running on intercepting torsion spring 21 or 21 'is also the lever 13 or 13' rotated under tensioning the spring 19 or 19 ', the tubular part 17 or 17' lifted from the stop 35 or 35 ' is and comes under system at the stop 33 or 33 'in the working position development. The sealing surface of the sealing ring 25 resp.
25 'is swiveled forward from the protective surface 29 or 29', and the mouth of the pipe coupling becomes free. In the course of the further coupling process, the levers 13 and 15 or 13 'and 15' rotate while tensioning the torsion springs 21 and 21 'against each other, the sealing surfaces of the sealing rings 25 and 25' come to rest on each other and the coupling process is completed. Thus, the coupled position shown in Fig. 2 development is reached. The between the coupled coupling heads 1 and 1 'still existing movement games can be recorded by a corresponding, per se known design of the pipe parts 17 and 17' or the sealing rings 25 and 25 '.
When uncoupling, the reverse processes take place accordingly. The springs 19 and 19 'rotate the pipe parts 17 and 17' when the coupling heads 1 and 1 'are separated into the rest position shown in FIG. 1, so that the protective surface 29 and 29' closes the mouths of the pipe couplings again and thus the Rohrleitun conditions against the ingress of foreign objects and the sealing surfaces of the sealing rings 25 and 25 'protects against dirt.
If the pipe to be coupled is the main air line controlling the braking system of the rail vehicles, it is advantageous to incorporate a vent hole 37 in the web 31 according to FIG. 3, which is provided with an air filter 39 or other known devices that prevent the ingress of foreign bodies prevent, can be provided. The vent hole 37 is to be arranged in such a way that it breaks through the protective surface 29 within the surface section surrounded by the sealing surface of the sealing ring 25 when the pipe part 17 is in the rest position. The main air line is then vented in the required manner when uncoupling with the shut-off valve open, as occurs, for example, in the event of an unintentional separation of trains.
However, if the pipeline to be coupled is a line that only carries compressed air for feeding purposes, for example the filling line, it is advantageous to design the web 31 without a vent hole. The sealing ring 25 then acts together with the protective wall 29 as a shut-off element which is closed in the rest position of the pipe part 17, so that no special shut-off valve is required.
It is also advantageous to attach the stop 35 to the coupling head 1 in an easily detachable manner. Starting from the coupled state of FIG. 2, the pipe part 17 can then be pivoted back under tension NEN of the torsion spring 21 after loosening the stop 35 arbitrarily over the rest position in the event of a leak in the Rohrleitungskupp development. The sealing ring 25 is then freely accessible and can be easily cleaned or replaced. After releasing the pipe part 17, it automatically returns to its working position.
To simplify assembly and maintenance of the pipeline coupling, the bolt 11 with the parts mounted on it, the web 31, the stops 33 and 35 and the rear fastening point of the spring 19 attached to a common, not shown base plate and thus to one be combined into a single component. It is then particularly advantageous to attach this component to the coupling head 1 in an easily detachable manner. To reduce the size of this component, it is expedient to replace the spring 19 with a further torsion spring on the bolt 11.
