Description

Sawing device The present invention relates to a sawing device comprising at least one annular disc whose central opening is diamond-coated.

This device is characterized by the fact that this disc is provided, at its periphery, with weights fixed to it and is mounted on a drive support to which it is angularly secured, while said weights can play freely by:

radial direction, the whole in such a way that, during rotation, the weights exert on the disc, under the effect of centrifugal force, a radial force keeping it under tension.

The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.

Fig. 1 is a partial elevational view, with some parts broken away, of a sawing device. Fig. 2 is a section taken along line II-II of FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 is a section of a detail, on an enlarged scale.

The sawing device shown comprises two annular discs 1, for example made of copper, the thickness of which, very small, is of the order of 10 to 20/100 mm. The edge of the central opening of these discs 1 is diamond-coated in 2.

These discs are used for sawing very hard material, such as synthetic stone. They are provided, at their periphery, with weights 3 in the form of crown segments, each formed of two parts 4. And 5 (fig. 2) between which the disc 1 is clamped, and which are clamped using screws. 6.

These discs and their weights are mounted on a tubular support 7 serving for their drive. One of the discs 1 is supported, by the peripheral part 5a of its weights 5 against an internal shoulder 7a of the tubular support 7, while the other disc 1 is supported, also by the external peripheral part 5a of its weights 5,

against a tubular spacer 8 interposed between the two discs. These discs are held in place by a ring 9 aimed externally on the tubular support 7 and which carries a thrust ring 10 subjected to the action of a set of coil springs 11. This thrust ring 10 exerts on the axial pressure discs preventing them from moving or vibrating during rotation.

It should be noted that the thrust ring 10 is held in place in the ring 9 using a ring 12 (fig. 3), in such a way that, when the ring 9 is separated from the support 7, the thrust ring 10 cannot be separated from the ring 9.

The tubular support 7 has at least one longitudinal groove 13 in which is housed a key of square section 14, fixed by two screws 15, and whose projecting part is engaged between two weights of the discs 1. Thus, these discs are dragged. rotating by the support 7.

A gap remains between the outer part 5a of the weights 5 and the inner bore of the support 7, which allows the centrifugal force to which these weights are subjected to produce a slight radial displacement, outwardly, of the latter. , thus producing the tension of the discs 1.

It should be noted that, for a given rotational speed, the tension exerted on the discs 1 will depend on the weight of the weights, but also on their position on the disc.

Indeed, the holes presented by the discs 1 for the passage of the screws. 6 are elongated, so as to make it possible to vary the distance at the center of the weights and, consequently, the value of the remaining day, at-rest, between the weights and the support 7.

It is thus possible to ensure that the weights abut against the support, when the desired tension of the discs 1 is reached, so that this tension is not exceeded.

As a variant, provision could be made for the case where the support 7 carries only one disc 1 or, on the contrary, more than two.

Finally, it should be noted that its means for dragging the .support 7 by the machine on which the device is intended to be mounted have not been shown, being foreign to the present invention.

The centering and the fixing of the weights on the sawing discs are carried out by means of an adequate positioning, independent of the present device. Disks can thus be: .prepared in advance, which allows their almost instantaneous replacement.
