Device for sealing ramming pipes at the lower end of the pipe It is known to provide ramming pipes with a flap which closes the ramming pipe at the lower end when it is rammed into the ground and thereby prevents the penetration of soil material and groundwater, opens,
when the pipe is pulled and thus lets the concrete poured into the pipe before pulling out and finally even closes again automatically when the pipe is driven in again, thus enabling a pile base widening to be stamped out directly with the driving pipe.
It turned out, however, that this flap both when placing the pipe before the start of the pile-driving, and when pulling the pipe during the pile-ramming - a process that for various reasons, e.g. B. straightening the pipe in a desired inclination etc. - and finally at the beginning of the tamping of the concrete, especially with long piles and large amounts of groundwater, closes automatically but too slowly, and thus soil material penetrates the pipe, which is undesirable .
It was also shown that this flap, when closed, prevents the penetration of soil material completely, but that it does not adequately prevent the penetration of groundwater, especially in the case of long pile-driving pipes and when there is a large amount of groundwater, because of the elastic compression of the pile-driving pipe the impact of the battering ram and the subsequent expansion of the pipe, the flap is thrown off a little from the lower end of the pipe, which can cause a little groundwater to penetrate the pipe after each stroke and thus lead to operational disruptions.
The subject matter of the present invention is a device for sealing ramming pipes, which are provided with a flap at the lower end and which is characterized in that a cable pull is arranged to close the flap.
The cable tongue is preferably attached to the pipe flap in such a way that the flap closes when the cable is pulled. The rope is expediently attached to the flap at one end and then guided up to the upper end of the pile in a protective tube attached to the ram pipe, so that from there the pull to close or hold the closed flap can be exerted in every position of the pipe can.
If necessary, a sealing plate made of sheet steel can be installed at the lower end of the pipe, specifically inside the flap, which is sealed on the inner surface of the pipe by means of an elastic sealing ring (e.g. profiled gum miring). This type of seal is completely independent of elastic changes in shape and the associated movements of the ram pipe. For the secure location of this sealing plate, the ram pipe can be provided with a collar on the inside or with individual stops, which serve as a system for the sealing plate and prevent it from sliding up.
Fig. 1 shows the ram pipe with flap, sealing plate and cable in elevation. It is a the ram pipe, b the closing flap, which can be closed and held in the closed state by the cable c, which is guided through the protective pipe e to the upper end of the ram pipe. f is the sealing plate built into the ram pipe, which is sealed with the elastic sealing ring g on the inner surface h. i is the inner collar, which prevents the sealing plate from migrating upwards as a result of the ramming impacts or as a result of the pressure of the groundwater that has penetrated through the flap.
Fig. 2 shows the ram pipe a with closed flap b and built-in sealing plate f during the ramming of the pipe.
