Description
Containers, in particular bottles, made of polyethylene
The adhesion of labels to plastic containers such as polyethylene bottles is very different depending on the properties and quality of the adhesive used. Usually, the adhesive strength proves to be insufficient, so that such labels fall off after a relatively short time.
A permanent bond between the label and plastic is not possible at all with ordinary glue. However, if an endless, self-contained label with its ends overlapping each other is connected to the overlapping ends by gluing, the glued connection is permanent, but experience shows that it slips up or down, especially when the label is changed by changing the Humidity or has loosened due to use. In the latter case, a drop in etiquette is inevitable.
The present invention is a container, in particular a bottle made of polyethylene, through which this supernatant is to be eliminated. According to the invention, the same is characterized in that stops protruding beyond the outer surface are provided on the container jacket, which are located next to the longitudinal sides of the label, in such a way that the label is secured against displacement both up and down by the stops.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the subject of the invention are shown, namely show:
Fig. 1 is a vertical section through a poly ethylene bottle according to a first embodiment and
Fig. 2 is a vertical section through a poly ethylene bottle according to a second embodiment.
According to Fig. 1, 1 annular ribs 2, 3 are arranged as outwardly protruding jacket reinforcements on the outer surface of the loading container or vessel jacket of a polyethylene bottle. The two annular ribs form endlessly closed rings parallel to the vessel bottom and are arranged at a distance from one another suitable for attaching a label 4 between the two annular ribs. The ribs increase the stability of the bottle and at the same time limit the area for attaching the label. The label extends over the entire circumference and is connected to its mutually overlapping ends by gluing and is self-contained. The position of the self-contained label 4 is secured against displacement downwards or upwards and thus against falling off by the annular ribs 2, 3 serving as stops.
Even a loosening of the label due to fluctuations or humidity cannot impair the securing of the label's position by the ribs. The ribs form stops projecting far beyond the surface of the label, which at the same time also provide protection against damage to the label.
The second embodiment of the plastic vessel also shows a polyethylene bottle in which the protective and securing ribs 2, 3 form bead-like bulges which show corresponding grooves 2 ', 3' on the inside of the vessel.
The ring ribs 2, 3 do not necessarily have to be guided completely around the bottle or the container, of course. These could e.g. B. have one or more interruptions.
Furthermore, one is not bound to ring ribs, any suitable structure or shape can be selected, since outwardly protruding stops, which prevent the label from shifting and slipping off, are essential.
