Driver's brake valve device for compressed air brakes of rail vehicles The invention relates to a driver's brake valve device for rail vehicles equipped with indirectly acting compressed air brakes, which consists of a pressure regulator, a relay valve and a device for the automatic issuing and measurement of fill levels during release.
One embodiment of such a driver's brake valve device that has become known has a piston which is acted upon via a nozzle on the one hand by the pressure controlled by the pressure regulator and on the other hand by the pressure monitored by the relay valve. The piston controls a Ventileinrich device, which triggers a surge when the prevailing, first-mentioned pressure. However, this automatic filling device has the disadvantage that only very small pressure differences occur in the case of small release stages on the piston, which must therefore be extremely smooth and have large piston surfaces.
However, these requirements can only be partially and insufficiently put into practice.
The object of the invention is to create a driver's brake valve device of the type specified in the introduction, in which the device for the automatic issuing and measurement of filling bumps works safely and reliably under all operating conditions despite a simple structure.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the filling device has a valve which, when it opens, stimulates the issue of a filling, which can be actuated by a piston which, in the opening direction of the valve, is controlled by the pressure of a compressed air source and in the closing direction by the pressure in a nozzle with the Compressed air source connected to the compressed air supply chamber of the pressure regulator is acted upon.
The special way in which the piston is acted upon guarantees that it will respond to every release stage that is controlled by means of the pressure regulator, even if the piston should be stiff as a result of long operating times and poor maintenance.
An advantageous embodiment of the invention is that the filling device has a piston connected to the piston system of the relay valve and having a small impact area which, when the valve stimulating the filling is opened, is subjected to a normal pressure via a nozzle in the driving position of the driver's brake valve device Cylinder space is pressure-loaded in the opening direction of a filling valve of the relay valve.
As a result, following a filling step in the driving position of the driver brake valve device, a slowly decaying low-pressure filling time is achieved, during which the relay valve in the compressed air line leading to the brakes controls an initially slightly higher pressure than the control pressure level, gradually increasing to the control pressure level as the pressure drops.
The driver's brake valve device can be particularly advantageous in that the valve that stimulates the filling vent when it opens a control chamber of the relay valve acted upon by the pressure to be regulated via a nozzle and that the piston system of the relay valve has its filling force, which can be enforced by venting the said control chamber position a shut-off device opens,
which applies compressed air to the additional piston in the opening direction of the filling valve via the brake valve device in the driving position of the driver by means of the nozzle, which is connected to the atmosphere. This training of the driver brake valve device ensures reliable and safe work with low construction costs and spar sam air consumption in operation. An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing.
A branch line 3 leads from a pipe 1, which is constantly connected to a compressed air source (not shown), into a cylinder chamber 5 of a valve device 7 and, via a nozzle 9, into a cylinder chamber 13 that is separated from said cylinder chamber 5 by means of a piston 11. The piston 11 is sealed by means of a Piston rod 15 guided in a partition wall is connected to a sealing plate 17 which, together with a fixed valve seat 19, forms a valve 17, 19 monitoring an air outlet from a space 21. A pipeline 23 leads from the cylinder space 13 into the feed space 25 of a pressure regulator 27.
The pressure regulator 27 has a handle 29 rotatable face spindle 11 which is connected to a cam 33 mounted in the housing. A second cam disk 35, which is secured against rotation in the housing and axially displaceable, puts itself under the force of a control spring 37 supported against it against the first-mentioned cam 33.
The rule spring 37 arranged in a vented spring chamber 39 rests on a piston 41 which controls a double valve 45, 47, 49 that monitors the connection of a cylinder chamber 43 acting on it with the dining room 25 or the atmosphere. The spindle 31 carries three cams 51, one of which is shown and which, when the spindle is in the appropriate position, can each open a tappet valve 53, 55 or 57 of normal design. From Zylin derraum 43 of the pressure regulator 27, a line 59 leads into the control chamber 60 of a relay valve 61, which is increased by means of an air tank 63 in volume.
A piston 67 loaded by a spring 65 separates the control chamber 60 from a return control chamber 69, which in turn communicates via a nozzle 71 with a space 73 from which a line 75 leads to the main air line 77 controlling the brakes. The piston 67 carries a piston rod 79 protruding through the return control chamber 69, the end of which is formed in the space 73 to form a valve seat 81 associated with a sealing plate 83.
The sealing plate 83 arranged in a space 84 supplied with compressed air by the line 1 carries an outlet connection 85, which is acted upon by atmospheric air via a nozzle 87 and which can be closed by the valve seat 81. A second sealing surface of the sealing plate 83 loaded by a spring 89 is assigned to a valve seat 93 connected to a sealing washer 91. The sealing disk 91 is pressed by means of a spring 95 against a valve seat 97 with a large diameter which is attached to the partition wall of the spaces 73 and 84. The piston rod 79 carries a stop 99 which is able to open the valve 91, 97. From the piston 67, opposite to the piston rod 79, a tube 101 extends, which protrudes in a sealed manner into a space 103 and ends in this openly in the manner of an additional piston.
The tube 101 is provided with a transverse bore 107 which, depending on the piston position, is located in the control chamber 60 or the space 103. The volume 103, which is enlarged in its volume by an air reservoir 109, is connected via a nozzle 113 to the pusher valve 55, which monitors ventilation, and to the main air line via a pipe 111, the air passage of which is monitored by the pusher valve 57 . A pipeline 115 leads from the return control chamber 69 of the relay valve 61 to the space 21 of the valve device 7 and to the plunger valve 53 which is switched into a vent.
When the brake is ready for operation, the individual parts of the driver's brake valve device take the positions provided. In the pipeline 1, the cylinder rooms 5 and 13 of the valve device 7, the dining room 25 and the space 84, the pressure of the compressed air source prevails. The valve 17, 19 of the Ventilein direction 7 and the valves 45, 47, 49 of the pressure regulator are closed. In the cylinder chamber 43 and the rooms connected to it there is a control pressure height. The tappet valves 53 and 57 are closed and the tappet valve 55 is open.
In the main air line 77, the rooms 73 and 69 of the relay valve 61 there is a control pressure level; the space 103 is vented via the nozzle 113. The valves 81, 83 and 83, 93 and 91, 97 are closed. The transverse bore 107 of the pipe 101 is located in the space 103.
For braking, the handle 29 of the pressure regulator 27 is pivoted in such a way that the control spring 37 is relaxed via the cam disks 33, 35. At the same time, the plunger valve 55 closes. The pressure prevailing in the cylinder space 43 lifts the piston 41 and opens the valve 45, 49 so that compressed air can escape into the atmosphere. After a corresponding reduction in pressure, the control spring 37 closes the vent valve 45, 49 again.
The pressure reduction is transmitted via line 59 to the control chamber 60 of the relay valve 61, so that its piston 67 lifts and the valve 81, 83 opens until the main air line and the return chamber 69 reach the pressure level now set on the pressure regulator are vented. Braking is thus initiated.
During the subsequent partial release of the brake, the handle 29 of the pressure regulator 27 is pivoted somewhat in the release direction and the control spring 37 is more strongly tensioned there. The piston 41 therefore pushes the valve 45, 47 open until a corresponding pressure increase in the cylinder chamber 43 is controlled from the line 1 via the nozzle 9 and the feed chamber 25. Opening the valve 45, 47 results in a sudden drop in pressure in the feed chamber 25 and in the cylinder chamber 13 of the valve device, both of which were previously charged via the nozzle 9 to the pressure level of the compressed air source, as a result of the extraction of air.
The piston 11 therefore opens the valve 17, 19 under the predominant loading via the cylinder space 5 until, after the valve 45, 47 has closed, the original pressure level has built up again in the cylinder space 13 via the nozzle 9 as well. The valve 17, 19 vents the return control chamber 69 of the relay valve, while the pressure regulator in the control chamber 60 controls a pressure increase. The piston 67 therefore experiences such a powerful movement impulse that it opens the valve 83, 93 via the piston rod 79 and the valve 91, 97 by means of the stop 99. At the same time, the transverse bore 107 enters the control chamber 60.
From the line 1, compressed air flows over large cross sections into the main air line and the space 103 is charged through the pipe 101. After the valves 45, 47 and 17, 19 have closed, a pressure builds up in the return control chamber 69 via the nozzle 71, which in cooperation with the spring 95 first closes the valve 91, 97 and then also the valve 83, 93. The transverse bore 107 enters the space 103 again, so that the pressure applied in the latter is maintained. This completes a solving stage.
When completely loosening the described processes are largely repeated. After the filling shock via the valves 91, 97 and 83, 93, the admission of the space 103 keeps the valve 83, 93 open in such a way that a pressure slightly above the control pressure level is introduced into the main air line 77 as a low pressure filling surge. The slow venting of the room 103 via the nozzle 113 and the slide valve 55, which is open in the driving position, then causes a gradual lowering of the pressure in the main air line to the control pressure level.
By means of the handle 29 and corresponding cams on the spindle 31, the plunger valves 53 and 57 can be opened. The stem valve 55 closes in the process. Opening the plunger valve 53 causes venting of the return control chamber 69, so that the pressure remaining in the control chamber 60 moves the piston system of the relay valve into the described filling position, in which the valves 91, 97 and 83, 93 are open and the space 103 is charged, is forced. After the plunger valve 53 is closed, the further processes take place as already given.
Opening the plunger valve 57 causes the space 103 to be charged with compressed air, so that the relay valve controls a low-pressure filling surge in the main air line. After the plunger valve 57 has been closed and the plunger valve 55 has been opened, the low-pressure filling surge dies out in the manner already indicated.
When the valve 45, 47 is opened, strong pressure differences occur at the piston 11 of the valve device 7, which are based on a reduction in the pressure in the cylinder chamber 13 to almost the control pressure of the pressure regulator. Even in the case of small release steps, the valve device 7 therefore starts with certainty, even if it has a piston that is stiff due to inadequate care, and stimulates the delivery of a filling surge. The length of the filling stroke is essentially of the size of the release stage, the nozzle 71 and the volume of the return chamber 69 be true.
