Pneumatic valve The invention relates to a pneumatic valve whose response time can be varied. Pneumatically operated membrane switches are already known, in which the overpressure prevailing in the pneumatic line is released by actuating an air outlet valve and a switching process is initiated as a result.
It is also known to use such valves in automatic time switches by not completely screwing the valve spindle, which is usually provided with a conical end, into the valve housing, so that an annular gap is created between the valve cone and the flat valve seat. A noteworthy variation of the time is not possible with such switches, since the change in the gap cross-section cannot be made in fine steps. This means that the response times can only be varied between a fraction of a second and a few seconds.
With the pneumatic valve according to the invention, the response time can be varied within wide limits between a few seconds and a few minutes. The pneumatic valve according to the invention, whose response time can also be achieved by changing one of the pneumatic lines:
g and the air gap lying outside air can be varied by means of a valve spindle, is characterized in that the air gap is gebil det by a conical bore and the axially movable in this bore, the same conicity as the bore having valve spindle.
The smaller the conicity and the greater the ratio of the length to the mean diameter of the cone, the more finely the response time can be set between the values zero and infinite. Further details of the subject matter of the invention are explained with reference to the drawing.
1 shows an exemplary embodiment in section, FIG. 2 shows a diagram of the response time as a function of the stroke of the valve spindle: The valve shown as an exemplary embodiment is mainly intended for installation in a pneumatic line, which is used for remote triggering of an electrical Switching process is used, for example, to turn on a spin dryer when closing the lid by generating an overpressure in the pneumatic line. After a certain,
set. Time the spin drive is switched off automatically.
The valve housing 1 is designed as a pipe fitting in T-shape with the arms 11, 12 and 13. The strands 4 and 5 of the hose or pipeline are connected to the arms 11 and 12, which are designed accordingly. The arm 13 of the valve housing contains the slightly conical bore 14 through which the connection with the bores of the two arms 11 and 12 is made. On the other hand, the conical bore 14 is connected to the outside air through the transverse bore 15.
At its free end, the arm 13 is provided with an internal thread 16 running coaxially to the conical bore 14. This is used to accommodate the valve spindle 2, which is provided with the thread 26 and the slightly conical pin 24 carries. So that the valve spindle 2 can be held firmly in the desired setting, a locknut 3 is arranged.
In order to prevent the air flowing through the gap from escaping into the open along the thread flanks, a sealing washer can be arranged between the counter nut and the switch housing. This is particularly advisable if the valve is to be set for relatively long times.
The valve housing 1 is made of a hard plastic, for example polycarbonate, which not only has a favorable effect in terms of production technology, but also prevents the risk of corrosion and the associated malfunction. The valve spindle is also made of a corrosion-resistant material such as brass or plastic.
In the case of the valves with which the response times shown in FIG. 2 can be achieved, the conicity is approximately 0.5. The cone has a mean diameter of 3 mm and a length of 8 mm.
This results in a gap change of about 0.08 mm2 with a change in the Huber of 1 mm. This extremely slight gap change in connection with the flow losses in the cross-sectionally long conical annular space between the shell, compared to the gap, of the cone 24 and the conical bore 14 enables the use of the valve according to the invention even in pneumatic systems which only require a small amount of air. and work with a relatively low pressure.
