Fig. 3 einen Schnitt nach der Linie A-A in Fig. 2.
Hand device for attaching self-adhesive tape over an edge
The invention relates to a handset for applying a self-adhesive tape over an edge, e.g. B. when packing boxes. The handset is characterized by a base plate, from which the adhesive tape is led out, a pressure lever protruding from the base plate and pivotable into the housing, a likewise pivotable feeler lever, a spring-loaded and tensioned position pivotable on the inside of the base plate by locking held knife, a slider hinged on the feeler lever for a first locking and release of the knife depending on the position of the feeler lever, and a two-armed,
Swiveling rocker transversely to the base plate and protruding with a nose from the base plate for a second locking and optionally automatic or manual release of the knife.
An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. In the drawing shows
1 shows the handset with the side wall removed in the starting position when an adhesive tape is attached over an edge,
2 shows the handset with the side wall broken open in a working position after driving over an edge,
3 shows a section along line A-A in FIG.
A housing with a fixed housing wall 12, a screwed-on housing wall 13, which has been omitted in FIG. 1, and a handle 14 is seated on a base plate 11. The housing wall 13 is partially broken away in FIGS. 2 and 3. A pressure lever 16 is mounted on a bolt 15 on the housing wall 12 and carries a roller 17 at its free end.
This pressure lever protrudes from the apparatus through a cutout 18 in the base plate 11 and can be pivoted into it. A hub 19 is also screwed to the housing wall 12, to which a feeler lever 20, which carries a roller 21 at its free end, is articulated. The hub 19 has a helical spring 22 in an annular groove which presses the feeler lever 20 against a fixed stop 23. The feeler lever 20, like the pressure lever 16, protrudes from the base plate 11 and, like this, can be pivoted into the housing. An adhesive tape supply roll 24 is mounted on the hub 19 and the adhesive tape 25 withdrawn from it is guided by a roller 26 and a leaf spring 27, which parts sit on the feeler lever 20. The feeler lever also has a driver pin 28, which is used to lift the pressure lever 16.
A slide 30 is also articulated on the feeler lever 20 by means of a pin 29.
The slide 30 runs in a lateral bulge 31 of the housing wall 12, which serves the slide 30 as a straight guide along the base plate 11. The bulge 31 is delimited in the longitudinal direction by the edges 32, 33. The slide 30 has a nose 34 directed against the housing wall and a transverse arm 35, and the transverse arm 35 is curved at the free end to form a hook 36. On the base plate 11 there is a bearing pin 37 on which a knife is pivotably mounted. The knife consists of a knife blade 38, a hub 39 and a side arm 40 with a pin 41 and a tooth 42.
The knife is under the force of a helical spring 43 attached to the bearing bolt 37. A two-armed rocker 46 is mounted on two eyes 44 seated on the base plate 11 by means of a bolt 45. One lever arm is designed as a ratchet tooth 47 and lies against tooth 42. The other lever arm rests on the base plate 11 with a shoulder 49 under the pressure of two leaf springs 48. This lever arm also has a nose 50 which protrudes through an opening in the base plate 11 so far that the rocker tooth 47 releases the tooth 42 when the nose 50 is pressed in. The apparatus handle 14 contains a wooden filler piece 51 in which two levers 53 and 54 are mounted on a bolt 52.
These two levers serve as locking levers and can be adjusted against the shoulder 49 of the rocker in order to lock and release it. The lever 53 has one arm, while the lever 54 has two arms, and a pressure handle 55 is attached to the arm facing away from the rocker and protrudes from the handle 14.
The lever 53 is in the locking position under the force of a spring 56. The lever 54 is released under the force of a spring 57 and is brought into the blocking position by pressing the pressure handle 55.
The handset works as follows: If, in order to glue a package 60, the front end of the base plate 11 is placed on its upper side 61 and pushed over it until the pressure roller 17 rests against the end face 62 of the package, as can be seen from FIG The end of the adhesive tape 25 is pressed against the end face 62 with its adhesive side. If the handset is pushed further onto the package, the adhesive tape 25 lies completely on the side 62 and around the edge 63, lifting the two levers 16 and 20 and under tension of the spring 22, the pressure roller 17 over the adhesive tape and around the edge 63 rolls around and reaches the position 17 '.
The feeler lever reaches the position 20 'in which the roller 21 comes to rest on the side surface 62 of the package. If the apparatus is pushed further, the pressure roller rolls on the upper side 61 of the package and the feeler lever 20 is lifted from the pressure roller 17. When the feeler roller 21 moves around the edge 63, the pin 28 also lifts the pressure lever 16. When the feeler lever 20 is raised, the slide 30 is pushed to the right and the arm 35 lifts off the pin 41 of the knife.
The knife remains locked by the pawl tooth 47 of the rocker. In the position now reached, the slide 30 is pushed so far to the right that the nose 34 catches on the edge 33 and blocks the return of the slide. In this position, the arm 35 pushes the locking lever 53 out of the locking position, so that the locking of the rocker is canceled. This situation is shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
If the apparatus is pushed further over the package, the nose 50 of the rocker moves onto the edge and is pressed into the base plate 11. As a result, the ratchet tooth 47 of the rocker releases the knife. The knife pivots suddenly under the force of the spring 43 and the knife blade 38 cuts through the adhesive tape 25. At the end of the pivoting of the knife, the pin 41 strikes the hook 36 on the slide arm 35, whereby the slide 30 is pulled out of the holding position.
If the apparatus is lifted from the package, the rocker 46 goes back to the locked position shown and the feeler lever 20 lowers under the pressure of its spring 22, pushing the pressure lever in front of it. The new end of the adhesive tape 25 remains in front of the pressure roller 17, ready for a new operation. When lowering the feeler lever 20, the slide 30 is pulled to the left again. The locking lever 53 is released again and pivots into the locking position in front of the projection 49 of the rocker. The arm 35 pivots the pin 41 of the knife under the tension of the spring 43 into the standby position in which the tooth 42 latches on the rocker tooth 47. The device is ready for a new operation
In the process described, the knife was triggered automatically by pressing in the nose 50 when it hit the package edge 63.
The triggering of the knife can also optionally be triggered after any length of strip behind the edge by pressing the pressure handle 55 and thereby bringing the locking lever 54 into the locking position in front of the attachment 49 of the rocker and thereby triggering the knife by pressing the nose 50 prevented. To manually trigger the knife, the pressure handle 55 is released.
The handset allows a quick and clean application of a self-adhesive tape over an edge when packing packages. The device is independent of the size of the packages to be glued, in that it is simply placed with its front part on the top of the package and pushed over it, with the adhesive tape laying on the side surface and over the edge on the top. The manual separation of the adhesive tape allows adhesive strips of any length to be laid, whereby several edges can be moved one after the other.
