Electric vacuum furnace When operating high vacuum furnaces, especially high frequency vacuum furnaces, it is of great importance that the vacuum is maintained during the melting process. For its part, this requires carefully designed sealing arrangements for the vacuum tank and for the leadthroughs of the lines for the electrical current. and for the coolant to the furnace coil.
Nevertheless, the vacuum tank must be easy to open, especially when replacing the crucible, and at the same time the connection elements for power and coolant lines should be able to be interrupted and restored in a simple manner in this case. Bare, live parts cause mica appearances at voltages above about 300 V in a vacuum and favor flashovers, so that the connections required, especially in furnace systems with exchangeable furnace crucibles, which were previously placed in the vacuum tank, are unsuitable.
The new construction, which is the subject of the present invention, serves to satisfy the requirements set out above, and is derived from the supporting and characterizing the invention from the idea that bare, voltage-carrying connection elements for the power supply lines and the cooling lines of the furnace are laid outside the vacuum tank and that vacuum-tight bushing arrangements are inextricably linked to the power and cooling lines mentioned and are thus fixed in openings in the vacuum tank,
that the implementation arrangements can be solved when replacing the crucible and pulled into the furnace tank. It follows that new ways must be explored for the implementation of the bushings, the furnace tank and the storage of the furnace unit.
The invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawing, for example, which as examples in FIGS. 1 and 2 show a construction of the leadthrough arrangement and in FIGS. 3 and 4, sections through the vacuum furnace, from which construction details can be seen, shows:
Fig. 3 is a cross section through the furnace along the line AA in Fig. 4 and Fig. 4 is a longitudinal section along the line BB in Fig. 3, wherein the front connecting lines have been removed.
In the lead-through arrangement according to FIGS. 1, which shows the section CC in FIG. 2, and FIG. 2 denotes 1 as a lead-through part a plate made of rubber or similar material, which is provided with a number of holes 2, in which tubes 3 are attached, for example by vulcanization. The hoses contain the electrical lines 4 for the furnace coil, wherein an annular cavity 5 can be used as a line for the cooling water.
The plate 1 is, for example also by vulcanization, connected to an expediently water-cooled steel ring 6 which is inserted into a further ring 7 and is welded to the wall of the vacuum tank in the opening 8 . Between the rings 6 and 7 as further feed-through parts there is a seal 9. Of course, only part of the hoses can be used for the supply of Cooling water can be used.
The connection lines are firmly connected to the melting crucible, also referred to below as the furnace unit, as can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4. The purpose of this construction is that when a furnace unit is exchanged, it can be moved out of part of the furnace tank together with the bushing arrangements having the bushing parts and the connecting lines.
For this purpose, the furnace tank is designed in three parts and consists of a mobile rear part 10 a stationary intermediate part 11 and a cover 12. The furnace unit 13 </ B > is supported on the one hand with its tilting axis 14 by bearings 15 , which rest on brackets 16 that are attached to the inner wall of the stationary tank part 11 , and on the other hand by gears 17 which sit on a shaft 18 mounted in the wall of the mobile tank part 10 and engage with tooth segments 19 that are attached to the furnace unit 13 . The mobile tank part 10 is mounted on wheels 20. The cover 12 is intended, among other things, for a set and removal of molds.
The bare, live connection elements located outside the furnace tank are indicated by 21 in FIG. 3.
The replacement of the furnace unit, e.g. B. after a certain number of melting processes due to the wear and tear of the lining, takes place in such a way that the mobile tank part 10 is unscrewed and moved away. As a result, the gears 17 are disengaged from the tooth segments 19 . In order to prevent the furnace unit from pivoting downwards about its tilting axis, a stop 22 is arranged in the bottom of the stationary part 11, against which the furnace rests when the mobile part 10 is driven away. The upper parts 23 of the bearings 15 of the tilting axis 14 are then removed and the feed-through plates 1 are pulled into the furnace tank with the lines fastened in them.
The furnace unit is then lifted out of the tank part. The insertion of a new furnace unit with connection lines and lead-through arrangements is carried out in the reverse order.
