Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Cock of a timepiece We already know cocks carrying a stud holder support in which a racket is mounted in friction, which allows to put the balance at the mark. By moving the support and, this being kept fixed, to adjust the operation of the watch by moving the racket, it is therefore advantageous that, during this last operation, the support is securely immobilized.

On the other hand, we have already had the idea of using an eccentric to move a part playing both the role of eyebolt support and racket; but this eccentric, carried by the rooster, was reachable by an opening of the said room.

The present invention, in order to achieve the aforementioned effect, uses an eccentric device whose control head, mounted in the support, is accessible from above. this one and whose eccentric is engaged in an opening of the cock.

The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention and a variant.

Fig. 1 is a plan view of the embodiment.

Fig. 2, a section through 11-1I of FIG. 1, and fig. 3, a section through III-III of the same figure.

Figs. 4 and 5 relate to two operational details, and FIG. 6 is an axial section of the variant. In fig. 1 to 5, 1 designates the cock, 2 the balance, 3 the shaft thereof and 4 a shock-absorbing bearing for this shaft, bearing of which 4a is the housing and 5, the return spring. On the housing 4a, which can rotate coaxially with the balance shaft,

a plate 6 carrying the peg 7 in which is fixed the outer end of the balance spring is driven out; a racket 8 provided with the usual pin 9 and key 10, and split at 8a, can frictionally rotate in a groove 11 made on the underside of the plate 6.

The latter rests directly, by its lower face, on the rooster; it carries an eccentric 12 engaged in an opening 13 of the cock and provided with a control head 14 opening onto the upper face of the plate.

To set the balance on the mark, it suffices to turn the plate 6 which enters with it the pin 7 as well as the racket 8; once the setting has been made, it is possible, in order to adjust the rate of the watch, to move the racket relative to the plate which is held stationary by the eccentric.

To move the plate, the eccentric 12 is rotated by means of the head 14 in the opening 13; fig. 1 shows the average position of the plate, figs. 4 and 5 ses. two extreme positions.

The fact that the racket 8 rotates in a groove 11 of the underside of the plate has the advantage that a tapered adjustment of this racket is not necessary; furthermore, because of this, and because the eccentric is under the support, the upper face thereof remains flat, which is suitable for a neat termination of the rooster.

In the variant of FIG. 6, the head 14a of the eccentric, rotating in the support, has a plate 15 carrying the eccentric 12a which rotates in the opening 13a of the cock.
