Aus Fig. 2 geht ohne weiteres hervor, d'ass der breitere Teil des Kunststoffprofils dazu bestimmt ist, die äussere Ummantelung der Ränder der Verbund= verglasung zu bilden. Dieser Teil des Profils umgreift nämlich das zu verbindende Scheibenpaar l;
Laminated glazing The invention relates to laminated glazing with at least two spaced apart glass panes, which are encapsulated airtight by a profile frame encompassing them along an edge zone, made of plastic, the water frame in cross section consists of a single pro filstück, the one between the Has glass panes lying web.
Laminated glazing of this type are known per se. The invention aims to improve the production of such composite glazing consisting of individual panes and also to simplify and make it cheaper. It is important that the sealing of the laminated glazing is guaranteed indefinitely, in spite of the occurring temperature differences, which in the course of time could otherwise cause internal stresses that would otherwise become very detrimental to the sealing.
In addition, it is necessary that the production of laminated glazing that remains tight over the long term is not impaired by the relatively large tolerance that the manufacture of the individual panes requires with regard to the evenness of the pane thickness.
It is also desirable that the production of the laminated glazing is also useful when using ornamented glass, this glass with its ornamented surface being protected from dust on both sides facing the interior of the laminated glazing.
Finally, it is also essential that the parts and means forming the frame of the laminated glazing are able to withstand the pressure in every respect that has to be exerted on them during the manufacture of the laminated glazing; This applies in particular to the spacer-maintaining intermediate web of the profile frame, which is located between two individual panes.
The laminated glazing according to the invention is intended to optimally meet the aforementioned conditions. In order to achieve this, the web is designed as a double-T-profile in the laminated glazing according to the invention in such a way that the panes are supported on the widenings of the profile web and a recess for the receptacle between the widenings and the glass panes attached to them a tightly sealed, plastic-elastic intermediate layer remains.
The invention is then explained in more detail in an exemplary embodiment with reference to the drawing. 1 shows a diagrammatic representation of a plastic profile corresponding to the invention for creating a laminated glazing, FIG. 2 shows a laminated glazing produced therewith, inserted into a window frame, also in a pictorial partial view.
The profile drawn for seich in Fig. 1 consists of thermoplastic material, e.g. B. made of polyvinyl chloride, and has a T-shaped overall profile G, whose web J is designed as a double-T profile.
From Fig. 2 it is readily apparent that the wider part of the plastic profile is intended to form the outer casing of the edges of the laminated glazing. This part of the profile engages around the pair of disks to be connected l;
2 on the outside with its ends completely after bending the same to form tabs 12 running parallel to the pane planes, while the web J comes to lie between the two glass panes 1 and 2 and keeps them at the desired distance. The double-T profile shape of the web J has the consequence that on both sides of the web part 3 between this and the two glass panes 1 and 2 there remains an intermediate space in which a plastic-elastic intermediate layer 4 and 5 is inserted,
which is under pressure and therefore creates a secure seal between the web J and the discs 1, 2 in the manner of a stuffing box. A plastically elastic material is one whose technological behavior lies within the scope of elastic and plastic properties.
In such a material, which essentially shows plastic behavior, this behavior is superimposed by a further material property that can be compared to creep in that the material has a certain elasticity that is slowly able to overcome its inner toughness and a transition of an object made of this material into the shape it had before the loading and plastic deformation caused. This seal is maintained even if there are small relative movements between the panes 1, 2 and the overall profile G as a result of temperature differences.
In addition, an adhesive 6 or 7 between the discs 1, 2 and the side Lap pen 12 of the profile G is applied. This adhesive is intended to firmly bind the plastic profile to the glass panes. To increase the adhesive strength, the web part 3 is expediently roughened.
The web 3 of the profile part J is made hollow. Its cavity 8 is connected to the space formed between the glass panes 1 and 2 via bores 9. It is used to absorb a hygroscopic substance which absorbs the moisture generated in the space between the panes 1 and 2 and prevents the panes from misting up.
The solid mutual connection of all parts for the production of the finished laminated glazing is caused by the fact that the side tabs 12 of the thermoplastic plastic profile G after its attachment to the glass panes 1 and 2 using heat and pressure on both sides at their outer ends and thereby firmly be pressed against it.
The sealing strips 4 and 5, which remain somewhat elastic, are pressed against the glass panes 1 and 2 in a sealing manner. You can give in to small movement play in the case of larger temperature differences and also take into account the unevenness of the ornamented glass without impairing the seal. The adhesive 6 and 7 ensures that the tabs 12 are held firmly to the panes 1 and 2.
The strong web J, which is widened at its free end, easily absorbs the strong pressure acting on it when the plastic profile G forming the surrounding frame of the glass panes is pressed onto it, without damage. This strong term profile remains undamaged even when heated when pressing around the frame profile. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the laminated glazing according to the invention can be put into the rebate of a window frame like a simple window pane. If the fixed window frame is marked with 10, the laminated glazing is inserted from the right in FIG. 2 into the fold of the frame.
It can then be fixed with the aid of the subsequently attached putty bar 11. Due to the property of the material of the plastic profile G, however, a simple wooden strip instead of the cement 11 can produce a sufficiently tight seal.
The plastic profile G can possibly also be glued directly to the outside of the window frame or, if it is made of thermoplastic material, also welded on.
If there are three or more individual panes to be combined into laminated glazing, two or more intermediate webs J are accordingly present on the single piece of plastic that forms the surrounding frame.
The composite glazing described above has the advantage that, apart from the glass panes 1, 2, only a one-piece overall profile G is necessary for its production. This can be attached to the panes 1, 2 in a single operation without additional spacers having to be inserted between the panes. The use of a one-piece, easily deformable overall profile G also allows disks with a round outer contour or disks that have curved recesses to be produced in a simple manner.
