Tap The present invention relates to a tap, characterized in that it comprises a body. a vertical central part of which contains a first fixed cylinder, the lower end of which rests on a partition which separates the inlet and outlet pipes for the fluid flowing through the valve, a sealing piece being clamped between said end and partition,
this sealing piece having a central recess corresponding to an opening of the same section made in said partition, a screw thread, arranged inside the upper part of said first cylinder, cooperating with a valve control screw,
the lower end of said screw being articulated at the top of a second cylinder which can slide in the lower part of the first cylinder, the lower part of the second cylinder being provided at its periphery with at least one circular groove in which is housed a sealing ring, a sealing washer,
fixed by means of a screw on the underside of the second cylinder, being intended to be applied to said hollowed out sealing part in the closed position of the valve, and at least one hole being drilled in the wall of the part lower part of the first cylinder, said hole being intended for the flow of fluid entering the inlet tubing of the body.
from the valve and flowing through said recessed sealing piece towards the outlet pipe, the whole being arranged so as to prevent contact of the control screw with the fluid to be discharged and to allow easy maintenance of the valve, the sealing parts can be quickly removed from the valve body.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the valve which is the subject of the invention. Fig. 1 is an elevational view in section, taken along the line I-I of FIG. 3, of this embodiment, showing the valve in the open position.
Fig. 2 is a corresponding view of the valve in the closed position.
Fig. 3 is a sectional plan, taken along line III-III of FIG. 1. The valve shown comprises a body 1 of usual general shape. In a vertical central part, tubular in shape, of the body 1 is fixed by means of a screw thread a first cylinder 2 resting, by its lower end,
on a partition separating the inlet and outlet pipes for the fluid flowing through the valve. A sealing part 3 is clamped between said end of the cylinder and said partition wall, this part 3 being provided with a circular central recess corresponding to an opening of the same section made in the partition.
The upper part of cylinder 2 has an internal screw thread in which is engaged a valve control screw 5, the lower end of said screw being articulated on a second cylinder 6 which can slide inside the lower part of the first. cylinder 2.
The cylinder 6 is provided with its. periphery of two superimposed circular grooves which are housed two sealing rings 7 and 8. A washer 4 is fixed by means of a screw 9 on the underside of the cylinder .6, said washer being applied to said part of recessed seal 3 in the closed position of the valve (fig. 2).
In the wall of the lower part of the first cylinder 2 are drilled holes 10 arranged on a circular line and intended to ensure the flow of the fluid entering through the inlet pipe of the body. 1 and flowing through the opening in the partition (fig. 1).
The valve described has, in particular, the advantage of preventing contact of the control screw 5 with the fluid to be delivered. Another advantage derives from the fact that the sealing parts 3, 4, 7 and 8 can be quickly removed from the body 1, which facilitates the maintenance of the valve.
