Daylight cassette with photographic paper The present invention is a daylight cassette with photographic paper, which is a strip wound into a roll.
The cassette according to the invention is characterized in that inside the cassette two parallel disks are rotatably arranged on the same axis in the vicinity of opposing walls of the cassette by means of central axle bolts, on which axle bolts a winding body of the roll inserted between the disks is mounted, and that one of the disks together with its axle bolt can be displaced against the influence of a spring in the axial direction towards the outside in order to enable the roller to be inserted or removed.
In the drawing, for example, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is illustrated.
Fig. 1 shows the cassette and the paper roll used in cross section perpendicular to the axis of the roll; Figure 2 is an axial section through the cassette and roll of paper.
The daylight cassette shown has two approximately square side walls 11 and 12 as well as a peripheral wall 13, 14 connecting them to one another. A part 14 of the peripheral wall is designed as a hinged door which is pivotably mounted with the aid of a hinge 15 and can be secured in the closed position by means of a toggle lock 16. Means not shown, e.g. B. felt or velvet strips ensure a light-tight closure of the door 14 against the side walls 11 and 12 and against the wall part 13 of the cassette.
In the interior of the cassette, two circular disks 17 and 18 are arranged parallel and coaxially rotatable to one another on the opposite side walls 11 and 12. The one disc 17 is rotatably mounted on a central axle pin 19 which is attached to one side wall 11, for. B. is attached by riveting. The other disc 18 is firmly seated on a central axle bolt 20 which is arranged in the other side wall 12 rotatable and axially displaceable ver. The axle bolt 20 passes through the wall 12 of the cassette and carries an operating handle 21 at its outer end. A helical compression spring 22 surrounding the axle bolt 20 is arranged between the cassette wall 12 and the disk 18.
By means of the handle 21 and the axle bolt 20, the disc 18 is laterally displaceable in the axial direction.
The two axle bolts 19 and 20 protrude with their inner, pointed end towards the inside of the disks 17 and 18. On the slidable disc 18, which sits on the rotatable and axially displaceable axle bolt 20 ver, two eccentrically arranged, but par allelic driving pins 23 to the axle bolt 20 are attached. However, only one of these pins 23 could also be present.
Between the two disks 17 and 18 there is a roller 25 which consists of a winding body 26, 27, 28 and a strip of photographic paper 29 wound thereon. The winding body is formed from a cylindrical pipe section 26 and two disks 27 and 28 inserted into the ends thereof, each of which has a central opening 30 for receiving one. the axle bolts 19 and 20 and two eccentrically arranged recesses 31 with which the driver pins 23 can be brought into engagement.
The parts 26, 27 and 28 of the bobbin consist for example of cardboard and are glued together.
According to FIG. 1, the wall part 13 of the cassette is provided with a slot 35 through which the paper 29 is guided to the outside and can be pulled off the roll 25 as required. To seal against incidence of light 35 felt or velvet strips 36 are arranged on both sides of the slot.
In the two side walls 11 and 12 of the cassette two rollers 37 are supported, which run parallel to the axis of the roller 25 and serve to facilitate the insertion of the roller 25 into the cassette.
The use and operation of the described cassette with photographic paper is as follows: The roller 25 is used in the darkroom in the cassette when the door 14 is open. With the aid of the handle 21, the axle bolt 20 together with the disk 18 is displaced against the influence of the spring 22. Then the roller 25 is inserted between the two disks 17 and 18 and placed on the rollers 37. By slowly releasing the pull on the handle 21, the axle bolt 20 is allowed to enter the corresponding opening 30 of the winding body 26, 27, 28 under the influence of the spring 22.
By turning the handle 21, the driver pins 23 are brought into a position opposite the recesses 31, whereupon the pins 23 are allowed to snap into the recesses 31 under the influence of the spring 22. The roller is then pushed onto the fixed axle pin 19 by means of the disk 18.
The roller 25 is finally slightly clamped by the spring 22 between the two discs 17 and 18 and keep ge safe. The axial length of the pipe section 26 is expediently slightly greater than the width of the paper strip 38, so that it can be easily pulled off the roll without jamming. Finally, the door 14 is closed and locked by means of the shutter 16, after which the cassette can be exposed to daylight undamaged.
When the paper 29 is used up, the empty winding core 26, 27, 28 can be removed from the cassette without difficulty by opening the door 14 and using the handle 21 to move the axle pin 20 and the disk 18 outwards against the influence of the spring 22 will.
A particular advantage of the cassette described is that any excess paper 29 that has been pulled out can be wound back onto the roll 25 with the aid of the handle 21. A further advantage is that rolls 25 with widths that differ slightly from one another can be stored in the cassette equally well.
The cassette and the associated photographic paper are, for example, eminently suitable for an apparatus for producing photographic copies or enlargements.
