Description
Angle connection between two metal rails each having a guide The subject of the present invention is a Win kel connection between two each one guide pointing metal rails, which is characterized by an angle piece, the two legs of which each enter another rail guide and are glued to the Schierze in question.
Appropriately, the guide can be closed in cross section either on all sides or on three sides, in which latter case at least one guide bar is provided for the leg on the open side.
In the drawing, two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown, namely: Fig. 1 is a plan view before the connection is made, Fig. 2 is a plan view of a first embodiment, Fig. 3 is a section along the line III-III in FIG. 2, FIG. 4 a second exemplary embodiment in plan view and FIG. 5 a section along the line VV in FIG. 4.
In Fig. 1, the two metal rails 1 are provided, which are to be connected to each other at an angle of 90 mitein. The two rails have the profile shown in Fig. 3, which has a closed on all sides, through the webs la-Id ge formed guide. The rails are cut at the abutting ends at an angle which corresponds to half of the connection angle.
A preferably also made of metal angle piece 2, the legs of which have a corresponding cross-section corresponding to the closed profile of the rail, is now introduced with one of its legs in the guide of one of the rails, after the guide and legs have previously been degreased and with an appropriate adhesive, preferably an ethoxyhn resin. The two rails are then pushed against each other until they abut against one another and the whole thing is dried, suitably in a corresponding clamping device, until the adhesive connection is made.
Tests have shown that such an angle connection, apart from the simple and cheap manufacturing method, can be exposed to great stresses without the two rails becoming detached from each other.
In the second embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the rails 3 have a guide formed from the webs 3a to 3c and from the guide rails 4a and 4b, which rails are located on the open side of the guide closed on three sides by the said webs . It would also be entirely conceivable to omit one of the two webs 4a and 4b. The angle piece 5 again has a cross-section corresponding to the profile of the guide and is dimensioned so that each of its thighs can easily be guided into the guide of one of the rails,
and is then glued to the rails.
