Flashing light transmitter for motor vehicles The present invention relates to a flashing light transmitter for motor vehicles.
Up to now, special devices that work with bimetal strips, hot wire relays or small electric motors have been used almost exclusively as flasher light transmitters for motor vehicles.
Furthermore, it has already been proposed to use the unrest of an electrically driven time clock or a distributor built-in cam devices as a flashing light transmitter.
All of these known flashing lights for motor vehicles have the disadvantage of a relatively expensive and intricate design.
The inventor has set himself the task of considerably reducing the structural effort required for the flasher light transmitter of a motor vehicle and thereby also the costs of the system.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that, in motor vehicles with a built-in time clock, flashing contacts are provided which are actuated by a wheel of the gear train of this time clock. Practical tests have shown that the relatively weak movement of a conventional motor vehicle watch can surprisingly activate the flashing contacts without affecting the time display. The invention therefore provides an extremely simple and reliable flashing light control for motor vehicles which can be used in conjunction with conventional motor vehicle clocks and which ensures a constant flashing frequency.
The entire additional device required for the flashing light is now practically a set of contacts, one arm of which is actuated by a wheel of the clockwork mechanism, with either an existing wheel, for example the anchor wheel or the seconds wheel, or else an additional wheel driven by one of the shafts of the movement can be used .
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing. These show : Fig. 1 a schematic view of the flasher light transmitter, and FIG. 2 shows one of the many possible switching arrangements for the new flasher light transmitter.
For the sake of clarity, only one wheel 4 of the clockwork is shown from the motor vehicle drive, which, as already mentioned, can be any wheel of the clockwork, for example the second wheel or an additional wheel driven by the clockwork.
The actual flasher light transmitter device consists of a pair of preferably resilient contact arms 1 and 2 fastened to an insulating plate 5 , of which the resilient contact arm 2 has an insulating piece 3 at its free end Has that flies against one of the teeth of the wheel 4 and is continuously raised by the teeth of this wheel when it rotates, the contacts opening and, after the one raising the contact Tooth has come out of contact with the Isoherstück how to close. If the wheel 4 consists of a non-conductive material, the insulating piece 3 can of course be omitted.
It is of course also possible to use sets of contacts that consist of two outer arms and one middle arm.
One of the many possible circuits for a time clock flashing light system is shown schematically in Fig. 2 GE. In Fig. 2, the movable contact arm 2 is connected to the battery 7 , while the flashing current circuits are connected to the stationary contact arm 1 .
The toggle switch 8, controls the front and rear left turn signal lights 9 and 10, or the front and rear right turn signal lights 11 < / B> and 12 can optionally be switched into the interrupter circuit is connected to the contact arm 1 by a line 13 .
The line 13 leading to the changeover switch 8 is via a further switch 14 with the to the brake lights 15 and < B> 16 leading line 17 connected. The foot holder in this line is labeled 18 .
The flashing light control of the headlights can be effected, for example, as follows: The headlights 19 and 20 can be switched into several positions in the usual way, only two of which are indicated schematically, namely 19a and 20a for low beam and 19b and 20b for high beam. The headlights 19 and 20 are connected to one pole of the battery 7 via the lines 21 and 22 and the usual changeover switch 23 .
To switch on the flashing light device for headlights 19 and 20, a switch 24 is provided which carries an insulating attachment 25 which has a movable contact arm 26 lifts off its fixed normally closed contact 27 located in line 22 and presses it against the working contact connected to line 21.
The circuit works as follows: If the flashing light system is to be activated, switch 8 is inserted according to the desired display of a change in the direction of travel to the right or left. This creates a circuit from battery 7 via contacts 6 of contact arms 2 and 1 and flashing lights 9 and < B> 10 or 11 and 12 closed to ground. This circuit is interrupted in the required rhythm by the interrupter contacts 6 .
If the flasher device for the headlights is to be operated, the switch 24 is switched on. This creates a circuit from battery 7 via breaker contact 6, switch 24, line 22 and high beam headlights 19b and 20b </ B > closed after mass. In this way, the high beam headlights 19b and 20b are switched on and off according to the interruption of the circuit by the breaker contact 6 .
In order to be able to operate the flashing system for the headlights even at night when the high beam is permanently switched on via switch 23, contact switch 26, 27, 28 is provided through which the the switch 23 to the high beam headlights current flowing to the dimming line 21 is switched. At night, when the headlights are flashing, the low beam headlights are always switched on.
If the motor vehicle is to be parked on a busy road at night, e.g. B. because of a breakdown or the like, then you can connect the breaker contact to the brake lights via the switch 14 in order to achieve better recognition of a parked motor vehicle by the blinking of these brake lights.
The switch 24 can be connected in a manner known per se to a contact for actuating the horn, so that horn signals and light horn signals can be emitted at the same time if necessary.
