Door drive device There are automatically opening and closing doors known, which automatically open and then close again by actuating an electrical switch or a valve, if hydraulically or pneumatically operated doors are involved. The switch or the valve can be actuated, for example, photoelectrically or mechanically by means of a foot threshold or in some other way. It has hitherto been customary to put the motor or pump assigned to it into operation each time the door is operated. This not only caused annoying additional noise, but was also uneconomical.
In order to avoid these disadvantages, the door drive device forming the subject of the present invention is characterized in that it drives the door by means of a pressure fluid that is taken from a pressure fluid container. The control of the hydraulic fluid can be followed by hydraulically or electrically operated valves.
Furthermore, the hydraulic piston driving the opening movement of the door can be counteracted by a spring driving the closing movement of the door and the hydraulic piston can have conically tapering ends that progressively throttle the flow of pressure fluid in the end areas of the piston movement into narrowed cylinder areas provided at the ends of the cylinder protrude.
Finally, the hydraulic fluid container can each be partially filled with a gas cushion and with hydraulic fluid, with switching means for a hydraulic fluid pump delivering in the container being available.
The accompanying drawing shows partially schematically an example embodiment of the subject of the invention. It denotes 1 an electric motor that could be replaced by another drive source, of course, and whose drive shaft drives a pressure medium pump 3 via a clutch 2.
This conveys a pressure medium, in the present example oil, from a pressureless chamber 5 via a line 5a into a pressure vessel 6. The latter is preloaded with a pressurized gas cushion located in space 6a.
The space 6a is connected to a pressure switch 4 which, when an adjustable lower pressure limit is reached in the container 6, closes a circuit to the electric motor 1 and thus activates the latter and the pump 3, and this circuit again when a likewise adjustable pressure limit in the container 6 is reached interrupts. The pressure prevailing in the container can be read on a pressure gauge 7.
From the lower, oil-containing part of the pressure vessel 6, a line 8 leads to an electrohydraulic slide valve 11, from which a return line 9 opens into the pressureless Kam mer 5. In the rest position, the slide valve 11 keeps the pressure line 8 closed and connects the return line 9 with a line 19. However, if it is excited by actuating a switch 18, it closes the return line and connects the pressure line 8 to the line 19.
The switch 18 is closed by any electrical, photoelectric or mechanical means when the door or doors assigned to it are to be opened.
The line 19 is connected to the other end of the actual door drive, which consists of a cylinder 12, in which a conically tapered piston 14 is displaceable at both ends. The piston 14 carries a piston rod 17, which converts the movement of the piston 14 via a rod 22 into an opening or closing movement of a door 21 in a manner that is understandable from the drawing.
In the drawing, a displacement of the piston 14 to the left, hereinafter referred to as the opening movement, causes the door to open, and a corresponding movement to the right, referred to below as the closing movement, causes the door to close. During the opening movement of the piston, the force of a spring 15 must be overcome, which in the present example is designed as a helical spring arranged in the cylinder 12 and directly on the piston. A torsion spring acting in the closing sense on the door itself would also fulfill the same purpose. This spring is preferably adjustable.
The device described and shown works as follows: The command to open the door closes the switch 18. The valve 11 is energized and its slide ver moves from the rest position shown into the working position, in which there is the connection between the pressure line 8 and the line 19 manufactures. The pressure in the container 6 pushes the oil through the lines 8, 19 in the cylinder 12 and ver pushes the piston 14 therein, overcoming the spring force of the spring 15 in the opening sense.
Here, the piston 14 presses oil via a valve 13b which regulates the door speed and a line 20 into a collecting container 16.
The command to close the door results in the switch 18 being opened. The valve 11 is thus de-energized and moves under the action of its spring 23 into the rest position shown. The pressure line is blocked and the line 19 is now in connection with the pressureless return line 9. Under the action of the spring 15, the door closes and the piston 14 performs the closing movement to the right. In doing so, he presses the oil located in front of him on the right via a brake and bridging valve 13a and the lines 19 and 9 into the pressureless chamber 5.
The conical ends of the piston 14 have the effect that the oil outlet is gradually closed in the end movements, which brings about a pleasant, jerk-free braking of the end phase of the door movement.
If after a certain number of door operations, which number can be up to 50 depending on the size of the aggregate gate, the pressure in the Druckbehäl ter 6 has fallen below a value which, under certain circumstances, could no longer be sufficient for further opening of the door, so the this lower pressure limit set pressure switch 4 the motor 1 and thus the pump 3 in motion, which again pumps oil from the chamber 5 through the line 5a into the pressure vessel,
until the upper pressure limit is reached by compressing the gas cushion, at which the pressure switch stops the motor and pump again. A check valve 5b connected into the line 5a prevents the return flow of pressurized oil from the container 6 into the chamber 5.
The device described allows briefly the pressure vessel 6 to take more hydraulic fluid than the pump 3 promotes.
The container 6 and the chamber 5 can, as shown, be combined in a single boiler with a partition.
The door drive cylinder 12 can also be installed in the loading container 16, whereby the drive can be simplified. Of course, several door drives can be closed to the pressure vessel, which can be controlled as a whole via a control valve 11 if all doors are to be operated simultaneously, or to which a control valve is assigned, whereby the doors can be operated independently of each other. The main advantage of the described device is always that a single start-up of the motor 1 and thus the pump 3 is sufficient for several door operations.
