Description
Frame made of metal profile rails for windows and doors The present invention relates to a frame for windows and doors, the legs of which each have an outer and an inner metal profile rail.
This frame is characterized in accordance with the invention in that longitudinal grooves are present at opposite points of these two profile rails, in which plastic strips forming transverse webs and connecting the two profile rails are anchored.
The frame according to the invention has various advantages thanks to the plastic strips provided on it, the most important of which are the following: 1. The plastic strips prevent the heat or cold transfer from the outer to the inner M, metal profile rail; 2. According to this plastic, the frame has increased stability; 3. When the window or door lock is installed, the plastic strips can also serve as a support for the rod of the latter, so that metal is prevented from sliding on metal.
4. The distance between the two profile rails can be varied by the width of the plastic strips. As a result, the width of the metal frame can be adapted to the respective requirements and the same profile rails can be used accordingly for frames of different widths.
On the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated.
FIG. 1 is a vertical section through the lower part of the window, and FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a part broken away from this window, the window according to FIG. 1 has a stop frame that has an outer metal profile rail a and an inner metal profile rail b in cross section. These two profile rails each have a thickened attachment part a1 or bi, in which two longitudinal grooves are provided, at opposite points.
Two strips made of synthetic resin or another plastic engage in these grooves, the strips c, which are anchored in these grooves and form transverse webs connecting the two profile rails a and b.
This anchoring is achieved according to FIG. 2 in that the plastic strips have longitudinal slots ci in their edge part engaging in these grooves, through which rivets v extend, which the groove-forming flange parts of the relevant Enforce profile rail. If necessary, the slots through which the rivets v extend could also be provided in the flange parts of the relevant profile rail that form the grooves. Thanks to this type of anchoring, the.
Plastic strips c expand and contract in the longitudinal direction under the temperature fluctuations to which they are exposed with built-in windows. This type of anchoring is therefore preferable to fastening the plastic strips in the grooves using glue. A hose-like sealing element d is provided on the outer profile rail a, with which a flange part m2 of the outer metal profile rail m of the window sash frame interacts in the closed state of the window, as shown in FIG. 1 is. Similar to the window stop frame, the profile rail m corresponds to an inner profile rail n.
These two profile rails also have, in mutually opposite attachment parts m 'and n', longitudinal grooves with plastic strips o anchored therein, which fulfill the same task as the stop frame of the window. For the sake of completeness, it should also be mentioned that in a cement bed p, the bottom of which is formed by one of the two plastic strips o, two glass panes s are cemented with their edges. This cement bed p is covered by means of profiled retaining rails not described in detail here.
