Device for actuating the drain valve on liquid containers The present invention relates to a device for actuating the drain valve on liquid containers, for example a wash basin.
There are devices for this purpose known in which a rotary body, which circles the drain pipe, controls a lever which is mounted directly in a bore of the container, for example a wash basin. Such a device requires a certain embodiment of the sink before. There are also devices known which are arranged between the basin and the siphon, but which require too large a distance between the two parts, so that the siphon comes too close to the floor with nor painter height arrangement of the basin and when cleaning the floor by means a Blocher very often and therefore leaks.
The present invention aims to build the device for actuating the drain valve in the sleeve by means of which the drain valve pipe is fixed in the basin, whereby first the device is independent of the basin and second the space between the basin and the siphon to a minimum of about 5 cm is restrictable.
The invention consists in that a sleeve ausgebil Detes intermediate piece, which is used on the one hand to attach the drain valve pipe in the basin and on the other hand to connect to the siphon, has an eye in which a pin is mounted horizontally, wel cher a transversely attached lever which engages through a recess of the eye under the head of the valve stem, and that a cross pin is further attached to the horizontal pin, which engages through a hole in a plate pivotably mounted on the eye and connected to a lever that can be operated by the knee. In the drawing, an example Ausfüh approximately form of the subject invention is illustrated.
It shows: FIG. 1 a longitudinal section through the device, FIG. 2 a section along line 11-II in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 a view of a basin provided with the device.
In the basin 1, the drain valve tube 2 is set, in which the drain valve 3 is inserted. At its lower end, the drain valve has a head 4 which is screwed to the thread 5 of the valve stem 6 so that it is adjustable in length. The lower end of the valve tube 2 is provided with a thread 7, onto which the intermediate piece 8, which is guided as a threaded sleeve, is screwed and tightens the seal 9 against the basin 1. On this intermediate piece 8, an eye 10 is arranged, in which a pin 12 is horizontally rotatably mounted. The eye 10 has a recess 13 which is connected to the bore of the intermediate piece 8. The lever 14, which is fastened transversely in the pin 12, engages under the head 4 through this recess 13.
Furthermore, a transverse pin 15 is inserted outside the eye 10 in the pin 12, which engages through a hole 16 in the plate 17. The plate 17 is fastened pivotably on the eye 10 by means of a collar screw 18. This plate 17 has two stops 17 a and 17 b which limit the deflection of the plate 17. With the plate 17, the lever 11 is connected, which can be pivoted horizontally and be actuated with the knee. By horizontal movement of the lever 11 by means of the knee, the lever 14 is thus pivoted vertically up and down via the pin 15 and the rotatable pin 12 and thereby the valve 3 is opened or closed. The siphon 19 is screwed onto the thread 8a of the intermediate piece 8.
This device can be attached to any existing wash basin without any modifications. It can be carried out in series and is therefore extremely cheap to manufacture. In addition, by installing the device in the intermediate piece 8, the distance between the basin 1 and the siphon 19 is significantly shortened.
