Thread generating machine equipped with a lead screw The invention is directed to a thread generating machine equipped with a lead screw, which has an adjustable rapid traverse of the workpiece spindle for the rapid return of the workpiece slide, which is connected to the lead screw by change gears, which causes the workpiece carriage to return.
In such thread-generating machines, when the tool has run through the thread length of the workpiece in the process and is then brought out of cut, the workpiece slide is quickly returned to the starting position. However, since the workpiece slide is moved by the lead screw, which in turn is connected to the workpiece spindle by changing gears, the speed ratio between the lead screw and workpiece spindle changes with the slope to be generated. Even with a constant rapid traverse speed of the workpiece spindle, a constant rapid traverse of the workpiece slide, as would ideally be desired, is not achieved.
Rather, its speed will be too low one time and impermissibly high another time. However, it is also not possible to use a single-tooth clutch to uncouple the change gears from the lead screw and drive them for the return movement at constant speed, because otherwise in most cases you will not be able to get back into the thread correctly after the return movement has ended. This is only possible if the pitch to be generated is an integral part of the lead screw pitch or is an integral multiple of it.
There are known thread generating machines in which the workpiece spindle is given a constant rapid traverse speed, which is dimensioned so that the maximum table speed is not exceeded even with the greatest intended slope and is then content with correspondingly lower table return speeds for smaller slopes, so that the lead screw does not have a constant rapid traverse speed.
The present invention avoids these disadvantages and allows, on the other hand, to always return the workpiece slide to the starting position at the highest permissible return speed without even having to temporarily loosen the engagement of the change gears fitted between the workpiece spindle and the lead screw and also offers the security that the return speed cannot be exceeded in the event of an inadvertent incorrect setting, which means that the machine is protected from damage.
According to the invention, this is done in that for setting the speed of the workpiece spindles, two independent adjusting elements, which determine the working speed and the rapid speed of the workpiece spindle and one of which can be switched on as an adjusting element for the workpiece spindle motor is, while the other setting element is switched off, and that the setting element for the rapid traverse speed of the workpiece spindle has switching positions that correspond to the thread pitches to be generated, which give the workpiece spindle rapid traverse speeds,
which correspond to the gear ratios of the change gears of the lead screw for all the inclines to be generated give an approximately constant maximum permissible reverse speed and thus the workpiece slide an approximately constant maximum permissible reverse speed, regardless of the set operating speed, whereby the permissible reverse speed in the event of incorrect switching is monitored by a centrifugal switch connected to the lead screw.
The object of the invention is shown in the drawings, for example, namely show: Fig. 1 the transmission diagram of a thread-Erzeu generating machine, Fig. 2 a circuit diagram, Fig. 3 the arrangement of the controller handles and the scale of the rapid traverse controller, Fig. 4 the Attachment of the centrifugal switch to the lead screw.
In a workpiece carrier 1, which is intended as a Schleifschlit th of a thread grinding machine, a lead screw 2 is mounted, which screws into a nut 4 firmly connected to the Maschi nengestell 3. As a result, the workpiece carrier 1 and the lead screw 2 are axially displaced with one another. Between the workpiece spindle 7 and the lead screw 2 driven by a control motor 5 via the gearbox 6, the change gears 8 are arranged, through which the ratio of the speeds between workpiece spindle and lead screw is adjustable depending on the slope to be generated. The change gears 8 must, if a thread is to be cut with a different pitch, he sets by appropriate change gears.
The transmission 6 has two output shafts 9 and 9 ', of which the shaft 9 on the worm 10 and the worm wheel 11 of the electromagnetic working clutch 12 and the shaft 9' via bevel gears 13 and spur gears 14, 15 on the electromagnetic tables rapid speed clutch 16 and their common output shaft 17 work. The shaft 17 is coupled to the shaft 9 when the clutch 12 is switched on and to the shaft 9 ′ of the transmission 6 when the clutch 16 is switched on. On the shaft 17, the worm 18 and on the workpiece spindle 7, the worm wheel 19 are attached, which are in a grip with each other, so that the workpiece spindle is driven slower or faster depending on the activation of the clutches at the same motor speed. The workpiece spindle drives via the spur gears 20, 21 on the shaft 22 of the change gears B.
The motor 5 for driving the workpiece spindle 7 can be regulated approximately in the range 1: 4 and is designed here as a DC motor with field control. On the machine frame 3, the regulator plate 23 is angeord net, which on the left the rotary handle 24 for the downstream slide resistor 25 for setting the speed of the motor 5 and thus the working speed of the workpiece spindle 7 and on the right the rotary handle 26 for the slide behind it resistance 27 carries with which the rapid traverse speed of the workpiece spindle can be adjusted as a function of the thread pitch generated by adjusting the speed of the motor 5, regardless of the operating speed.
In the middle of the controller plate is the tachometer 28, which shows the speed of the workpiece spindle in revolutions per minute. In addition, pushbuttons for three switches are angeord net on the controller plate, namely the pushbutton 29 to the left of the tachometer to switch on the operation, to the right of the tachometer the pushbutton 30 to switch on the rapid traverse for the return movement of the table, and also the pushbutton 31 to switch off the drive motor 5.
With the lead screw 2 of the centrifugal switch 32 is connected by the clutch 33, the Einzelhei th are shown in FIG.
The rotary handle 26 of the rapid traverse controller 27 has the scale 34 which, as shown in FIG. 3, has switching positions for the various Gewindestei to be generated conditions. In the embodiment shown, the outer scale ring contains twelve switching positions for thread pitches from 1 to 12 mm. In the inner scale ring, the associated rotational speeds of the workpiece spindle 7 are from 60 to 15 rpm. which can be read on the speedometer. These speeds correspond to an approximately constant maximum permissible rapid traverse return speed of the lead screw 2 over the entire setting range, which corresponds approximately to a constant maximum permissible return table speed of 2 m per minute.
In Fig. 4, the centrifugal switch 32 is shown in an individual. The lead screw 2 is mounted in the lead screw bearing 35 direct. The coupling 33 is designed as a driver coupling. For this purpose, the lead screw has the slot 36 in which the pin 37 of the driver 38 engages, which sits on the shaft 39 and drives it along at the speed of the lead screw. On the shaft 39 sits the gear 40 and on the shaft 41, which is mounted in the housing 42, the gear 43. The larger gear 44 seated on the same shaft 41 is in a grip with the smaller gear 45 on the shaft 46 sits, which is thus driven in relation to the shaft 39 at high speed in order to make the centrifugal switch 32 more sensitive.
On the flange 47, which is connected to the housing cover 48 of the switch housing, there are two half-shell-shaped contact plates 49 and 50, the distance between which is denoted by 51. The centrifugal switch has a rotary disk 52 which is connected to the shaft 46. On the turntable 52 sit three holders 53 on which the levers 54 made of electrically conductive material are pivotably mounted, which carry the three brushes 55 and also weights 56 at their ends. A screw benfeder 57 placed around the three brush holders provides the necessary contact pressure against which the centrifugal force is effective.
The brush holders 54, designed as one-armed levers, and thus the carbon brushes fastened in them, are connected in an electrically conductive manner via the contact ring 58 by soldered strands 59. The three-part division of the brushes and the two-part division of the contact segments give an electrically conductive connection in every position, as long as the brushes rest. This centrifugal force switch are known and commercially available.
The setting members 25 and 27 are in parallel lines 60 and 61 in the circuit of the field winding 62 of the DC control motor 5, which can be switched on via the contactor 63 for the operation and via the contactor 64 for rapid traverse by pressing the pushbuttons 29 and 30 down . All contacts on the dashed line 63a belong to the contactor 63. All contacts on the dashed line 64a belong to the contactor 64. In addition, the push button 29 has two contacts 291 and 29-, which are on the dashed line 29a, and the push button 30 is assigned two contacts 301 and 302, which are on the dashed line 30a.
The centrifugal switch 32 is shown in simplified form.
When the operation button 29 is pressed, the contact 291 is closed and the contact 292 opens. As a result, the contactor 63 is switched on for the operation and actuated the contacts lying on the dashed line 63a. The contact 631 is opened and the rapid traverse contactor 64 is switched off. The contact 632 is closed and as a result a holding circuit, which bridges the contact 291, is set up for the relay 63. The contact 633 is opened so that the rapid traverse setting element 27 is switched off from the line 61. Only the operation setting element 25 is therefore decisive for the speed of the control motor.
The contacts 634, 635 and 63E are closed and switch on the control motor, whose field winding 62 and field regulator 25 are connected to voltage via the closed contacts 636 and 643. When the push button 31 is actuated, the holding circuit between the control lines I and II connected to AC voltage is interrupted. The holding contact 632 and the contactor 63 drop out. If the rapid traverse button 30 is now pressed, the contact 301 is opened and the contact 302 closed, and the contactor 64 picks up and interrupts the circuit for the contactor 63 by opening the contact 641. At the same time, the contact 642 for the holding current circuit of relay 64 closed.
The contact 643, which is in the line 60 of the working gear setting element 25, is opened, so that the sole determining factor for the speed of the control motor is the rapid traverse setting element 27. In addition, the contacts 644, 645 and 646 are closed, which thereby switch on the control motor with the rapid traverse speed set depending on the thread pitch, which is approximately constant for the switching range of the setting member 27 regardless of the operating speed set.
If, by mistake, the element 27 on the rotary handle 26 is set to a smaller thread pitch than the one currently generated, the lead screw would get too high a speed, which is higher than the approximately constant return speed, so that the speed set to this constant speed Centrifugal switch 32 becomes effective and, due to the greater centrifugal force, lifts the contact brushes from the contact segments and thereby interrupts the circuit for the rapid traverse contactor 64 and thereby immediately stops the drive motor 5.
When the machine is started up, the required working speed of the workpiece spindle 7 is set by appropriate adjustment of the rotary handle 24 of the member 25, which makes the workpiece spindle motor 5 run faster or slower. The speed can be read on the speedometer 28 who the. For example, a thread with a 9 mm pitch should be generated. Then the rotary handle 24 is set to the number of revolutions of 19.
In addition, when the machine is started up, the organ 27 is set to the thread pitch previously set by the change gears 8 by setting the rotary handle 26 accordingly.
After these two adjustment elements, the push button 29 is pressed to switch on the work gear. The now running operation for grinding the thread is stopped as usual by actuating an end contact, the grinding wheel moves back and the workpiece slide is stationary. Then the operator presses the push button 30 and switches on the return movement of the workpiece carriage in rapid traverse, in that the rapid traverse contactor 64 responds and the field winding 62 reverses via contacts 644 and 645 and via the dropped contact 633 the rapid traverse setting element 27 in the Circuit of the field winding 62 turns on.
This rapid return movement is in turn interrupted by an end contact.
The setting of the two organs 25 and 27 remains unchanged as long as a thread of one and the same pitch is to be produced under otherwise identical conditions.
The setting of the member 25 for the workpiece spindle operation speed takes place according to given guide values, which depend in particular on the material, the grinding wheel and the workpiece diameter. The setting of the element 27 for the workpiece spindle rapid traverse speed is always carried out according to the thread pitch to be ground, the lead screw having an approximately constant, maximum permissible return speed.
In the event of an incorrect setting of the rotary handle 26 of the organ 27, which could occur when a different thread pitch is to be generated, and the handle 26 would not be reset, the centrifugal force switch would respond when the lead screw has a cone compared to the correct setting constant return speed receives higher speed, so if, for example, change gears for a Ge thread pitch of 10 mm would be attached, but the twist grip 26 would be, for example, on 5 mm thread pitch.
