Thread monitor on a textile machine The invention relates to a thread monitor on a textile machine, e.g. B. a twisting machine in which the thread is looped around a drive roller ge. The thread monitor according to the invention is characterized by a lever which is held in its monitor position by the thread strand located behind the driver roller, and by a means which tilts the lever into a new position when this thread strand breaks, so that it causes the thread center located in front of the drive roller to break.
The purpose and advantage of this thread monitor will emerge from the following description of an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
In the accompanying drawing: FIG. 1 is a schematic representation of a part of a twisting machine, FIG. 2 is a plan view of a detail in the direction of arrow II of FIG. 1, on a larger scale, and FIG further detail in the direction of arrow III of Fig. 1, on a larger scale.
In the twisting machine shown, the thread 1 by means of a driver roller 2, around which it z. B. is looped 3 or 4 times, withdrawn from a coil 3. Between the coil 3 and the driver roller 2, a braking device 4 is arranged, which has a support 5 which is fastened with means of a screw 6 on an axis 7 of the Maschi nengestelles. A wire 10 bent in a meander shape is attached to the support 5 by means of two screws 8 and nuts 9.
The reversing ends 11 of the wire 10 are bent to one side (see FIG. 2), the reversing ends 12 in between are bent to the other side, so that the thread 1 can be inserted laterally in the direction of the arrow 13 into the braking device 4 known per se . The ends of the wire 10 form two eyes 14 and 15 through which the thread 1 is passed.
The screws 8 and nuts 9 are also used to attach a lever catcher 16, which is made of a bent iron strap at different points and will be explained in more detail later. One end 17 of this lever catcher 16 is clamped between the support 5 and a clamping piece 18 fitted onto the screws 8.
Behind the driver roller, the thread 1 passes a heating device 19 in which the z. B. consisting of nylon thread is heated, and then comes into a known twisting spindle (false wire spindle), the storage and drive are not shown. From here, the thread goes to a white direct carrier roller 20, around which it is also looped ge, and from there to a take-up reel not provided.
The driver rollers 2 and 20 are mounted on axles 21 and 22 and can be driven in a known manner at different speeds to who to cause the thread 1 to stretch. Also known and therefore not shown means can also be provided to allow the individual turns of the thread looped around the driver rollers 2 and 20 to run up and down on these rollers at a certain distance from each other.
In the case of the twisting machine described, it can happen that the thread center 1 'located above, that is to say behind the lower driver roller 2 in the direction of movement of the thread, tears off. The break can, for example, take place in the heating device 19 as a result of excessive heating of the nylon thread. In the absence of the thread monitor described below, this break has the consequence that the thread center 1 ″ which is below, ie in front of the driver roller 2 and continues to be withdrawn from the bobbin 3, now winds up on the driver roller.
The so gebil ended winding layer on the driver roller 2 will soon be so thick that they be damaged organs of the machine, z. B. ver bends the shaft of a drive roller, not shown, which runs on the circumference of the driver roller 2 and drives the same by friction. But even if no machine damage occurs, it is extremely annoying and time-consuming to free the driver roller 2 from the thread wound on it.
In order to avoid the damage described, a thread monitor 23 is provided. This thread monitor 23 has .eine support 24 in which the two legs 25 of a U-shaped bracket 26 run, the ends of which are provided with threads. By tightening the nuts 28 sitting on the threads, a gesture-fixed axis 29 is clamped between the bracket 26 and the support 24 to fasten the thread monitor 23 to the machine.
A horizontal pin 30 (see FIG. 3), on which a bush 31 is rotatably supported by means of two ball bearings 32, is fastened to the support 24. A disk 33 is fastened eccentrically to one end face of the bush 31 by means of a screw 34. On the sleeve 31 a round iron rod 35 is be fastened, the upper end 36 is bent at right angles, as shown in Fig. 3 with dash-dotted lines.
The eccentric weight of the disc 33 is striving to pivot the lever formed by the rod 35, mounted by means of the socket 31, in the direction of arrow 37 from its guard position, but this is normally prevented by the thread center 1 'lying on the bent rod end 36 . If the thread center 1 'breaks, however, the lever 35 will pivot in the direction of the arrow 37 and, by virtue of its momentum, will reach the new position 35' shown in dashed lines in FIG.
During its tilting movement, the lever 35 strikes a run-up surface 38 of the lever catcher 16 (see FIG. 2) and gives way elastically a little laterally so that it enters a catch bracket 40 through a slot 39 and, when swinging back, on a leg 41 Handle comes to concern. The corresponding position of the lever 35 is also referred to in Fig. 2 if 35 '. In this situation, the thread center 1 ", which has been entrained by the bent lever end 36 between the bobbin 3 and the guide eye 14 of the thread brake 4, a pointed angle drawn in dashed lines in Fig. 1, the apex of which through the position 36 'of the .
Lever end is determined. In this position, the thread strand can no longer withstand the train exerted by the driver roller 2, so that it tears off immediately in the vicinity of the lever end 36 ', whereby any further removal of the thread from the bobbin 3 is avoided.
Instead of using gravity to tilt the lever 35, a spring could also be provided. Furthermore, the breaking of the thread strand 1 ″ could also be caused in another way, for example by the lever 35 actuating scissors when tilting, which cut this thread strand. The lever 35 does not, of course, have to consist of a straight rod with a bent end It could, for example, be held in its normal position by means of an eyelet guiding the thread center 1 'and be provided with another part, for example a knife, which causes the thread center 1 "to break.
If a spring is provided for tilting the lever, it is not necessary for the thread 1 to run upwards from the driver roller 2. This can be of particular advantage when the thread monitor is not used on a twisting machine, but on any other textile machine in which the thread z. B. runs horizontally or only slightly inclined.
