Dans le but d'éviter que le ruban de fibres 7 qui sort du mécanisme roto-frotteur ne soit soumis à des déplacements transversaux ou à des efforts latéraux de nature quelconque, le guide-fils 15 est fixe;
il prend le ruban à la sortie du rota-frotteur et il le conduit, jusqu'au point où se produit l'enrou lement sur la bobine, sans que ledit ruban subisse un effort latéral quelconque. Le cylindre d'entraîne ment 12 et la bobine 13 sont montés sur un chariot qui peut se déplacer transversalement à la direction du ruban et qui est animé du mouvement de va-et- vient nécessaire pour que le ruban délivré en un point toujours immuable, s'enroule sur toute l'éten due de la bobine 13 ;
The present invention relates to a drawing device used in spinning, thanks to which a fiber ribbon is delivered wound on a spool which can be used directly in continuous spinning looms or other spinning machines. .
For some time, devices have been developed for drawing cotton alone or in a mixture with other textile fibers, devices which make it possible to transform a drawing tape into yarn, directly on a continuous machine, without. that it is necessary to go through the pin benches.
However, in practice, this operation is difficult to carry out because of the lack of consistency of said tape and also because of the large volume that said tape has wound up in the usual drawing pots. This practically prevents the spinning of cotton and its blends, directly from the stretching tape, because it is difficult to place in the continuous spinning looms the number of pots necessary for all the spindles of the machine and also because, at the exit of the pots and before the arrival at the cylinders of the continuous loom,
the tape deteriorates easily due to its lack of consistency.
These drawbacks are remedied with the drawing device which is the subject of the present invention which, instead of delivering the stretching tape accumulated in the usual pots, delivers it wound on coils of a size allowing their application to continuous machines.
The drawing device according to the invention is characterized in that, following the drawing rolls and a unifying funnel which unites the fibers coming out of the rolls in a ribbon, there is a roto-friction mechanism which gives cohesion to this tape and which gives it a rounded outline, mechanism after which is arranged a winding mechanism which winds said tape on a reel animated by a back and forth movement to produce the winding of the tape over the entire extent of the reel, without the tape undergoing lateral forces.
In the accompanying drawing, there is shown, by way of example and schematically, an embodiment of the stretching device forming the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal vertical section on which the frame or bench and the control mechanisms have been removed to simplify the drawing and make it clearer.
Fig. 2 is a view from above of FIG. 1.
The stretching device shown comprises a feed mechanism of a known type. This mechanism comprises pairs of feed rollers 1 which supply card ribbons 2, which then pass through a guide roller 3 and through a unifying funnel 4 which brings together in a manner already known a number of ribbons to submit them, united in a narrow band, to a mechanism of stretching cylinders 5.
At the exit of this drawing mechanism 5, the band of fibers passes through a unifying black enton 6 until it gives a stretching tape 7 which is gripped by a pair of feed rollers 8.
Following the feed rolls 8 is mounted a roto-friction mechanism formed by two endless belt 9-10 driven by a movement corresponding to the movement of advancement of the ribbon of fibers but having at the same time a transverse movement of va -and back and forth from one belt to the other. The upper belt 10 surrounds a cylinder 11 which exerts a certain pressure and which thus ensures good contact of the belts with the ribbon of fibers 7.
In this mechanism, the ribbon of fibers is subjected between the two belts to a friction accompanied by a certain pressure which gives it consistency and which, at the same time, gives it a more or less rounded section.
When the ribbon of fibers 7 comes out of the roto-friction mechanism 9-10, it is gripped by a yarn guide 15 whose position is fixed and which leads it to a winding mechanism consisting of a drive cylinder 12 and a spool 13 which rotates, driven by the cylinder 12, and on which the tape is wound.
In order to prevent the ribbon of fibers 7 coming out of the roto-friction mechanism from being subjected to transverse displacements or to lateral forces of any kind, the yarn guide 15 is fixed;
it takes the tape at the exit of the rotafrider and drives it to the point where winding occurs on the spool, without said tape undergoing any lateral force. The drive cylinder 12 and the reel 13 are mounted on a carriage which can move transversely to the direction of the tape and which is driven by the back and forth movement necessary so that the tape delivered at a point always unchanged, winds over the entire length of the coil 13;
preferably, to simplify this winding and also to facilitate the subsequent unwinding of the tape from the reel, this winding is carried out in the crossed form but, if desired, the reel can also be formed by winding in parallel.
The device shown is a stretching device with several ribbons, as seen in FIG. 2. The various card ribbons 2 which go into the stretching are divided into two groups which, after having been suitably combined in two collating funnels 4, are processed by two stretching sets 5 in such a way that each of the stretching sets only works half of card ribbons 2 and gives a drawing tape 7 corresponding to half of card ribbons 2.
The device shown therefore provides two stretching tapes 7 half the size which arrive at two roto-friction mechanisms 9 - 10, each processing one of the stretching tapes and the drawing thus provides two less coarse tapes, having consistency thanks to the roto-friction treatment they have undergone and suitably rounded to facilitate their winding on the spool 13.
In this case the thread guide 15 is double, as seen in FIG. 2, and it is preferably constituted by a piece of metal wire forming two branches which meet in the middle part.
Each of these two branches reaches the point of delivery of one of the fiber ribbons by the roto-friction mechanism. This tape is led along said branch, preferably by winding in a helix on it, and finally the yarn guide delivers the two ribbons of fibers, one beside the other, to the winding mechanism so that the winding of the coil is no longer constituted by a single ribbon of fibers but that it is constituted by two bands of fibers arranged parallel to one another.
When these spools are then placed in a continuous spinning machine and the two ribbons of fibers contained on the spool unwind simultaneously, each of these ribbons feeds a stretching mechanism and a spindle of the spinning machine, which means that it suffices to place in a continuous loom a spool for two spindles, which considerably simplifies the feeding of the continuous loom with the fiber ribbon of the drawing.
The present device therefore makes it possible to carry out a drawing which directly delivers the ribbon of fibers, after having given it consistency, wound on a spool which can be mounted directly in the rack or support of a continuous spinning machine.
With this device, therefore, the need to wind up the stretching tape stored in the pots and to give this tape a twist which, although it is relatively weak, is avoided is avoided with this device. harmful to the spinning, in order to give it the necessary cohesion so that it can wind up on the spool and unwind from it to feed the continuous loom.
