Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Device for fastening a device, preferably a measuring device, in a control panel or a desk When installing measuring devices in a control panel or a control panel, the task often occurs of fixing the measuring device in the control panel by attacking it from the front. This fastening has been achieved by screwing screws into the control panel wall that can be operated from the front. However, this arrangement is not favorable because it requires a considerable amount of time and, moreover, does not automatically secure the instrument at its installation location.
According to the invention, a device for fastening a device, preferably a measuring device, in a base plate consists in that expanding springs are attached to the housing part of the device, which is sunk after installation, which after insertion of the device from the position they have during insertion , spring back into the relaxed position in which they are supported against the base plate from behind.
This new arrangement means that the instrument only needs to be inserted into the prepared opening in the control panel or the desk and then automatically held in place by the resilient clips, which relax after inserting the device and from backwards against the Place the front panel of the control panel or the console. It is useful if the expanding springs are attached to the bottom end of the device because the bottom of the housing gives the springs a natural opportunity for support. You can also provide the expanding springs with a movable clamp.
If this clamp is shifted on the expanding springs, the two brackets are thereby pressed together so that they now stand almost vertically on the housing wall and are supported with their front end against the control panel wall. This clamp only appears to be necessary if the safety of the instrument installation is particularly high, for example if the instrument is to be installed in the dashboard of a car and is consequently subject to strong vibrations.
Three figures serve to explain the invention using an example.
1 shows an instrument housing 1 after it has been inserted into a control panel so far that only the widened head ring 3 of the instrument cover is still in front of the control panel 2.
In the side view in Fig. 2 it is explained how the bracket 4 can be attached. The bracket 4 consists of .two parts 4a and 4b, which can be folded apart and are also unfolded in the relaxed state because the bracket 4 springs, namely in the spread position of the bracket parts 4a and 4b. The bracket 4 is attached to the foot end of the housing 1 at 5. The two bracket halves 4a and 4b are connected to one another at the foot end at 6, so that the entire bracket is bent from a piece of wire.
When the device is inserted into the control panel 2, the bracket halves 4a and 4b are placed flat on the housing 1. In this form, the brackets can also be inserted through a relatively narrow clearance 7 in the switchboard 2. After being pushed through, however, the brackets lift themselves back into the position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, so that the brackets are resiliently supported against the rear of the control panel 2, that is to say against the edge of the opening.
If the securing of the device makes it necessary, the two bracket parts 4a and 4b can also be an additional securing device by means of a sliding one

Clamp 8 obtained, which can be seen in FIG. If in the left drawing of Fig. 3 the clamp 8 is pushed upwards, for example into the position 8a, which is shown in the right half of the drawing, the two bracket halves 4a and 4b are thereby pressed together, so that .the bracket on the Set up the housing part of the device.
In this position it is not possible to pull the device 1 out of the opening in the control panel 2 without destroying the bracket; because the bracket can not, as it is necessary, lay flat on the housing to go through the narrow opening 7 in the panel wall 2 through. Thus, with this embodiment, the device is well secured in its place even in the event of strong vibrations of the control panel or the desk.
