Method and device for monitoring the weft thread entered into the shed in a weaving machine The patent relates to a method for monitoring the weft thread entered into the shed in a weaving machine, in which the weft thread, after which it has been inserted into the shed, is moved back a certain length and a device for carrying out the method.
The method according to the invention consists in that after the return movement of the weft thread has been initiated, the beginning of the weft thread on the exit side of the shed is scanned.
The device according to the invention for executing this method on a weaving machine with a device for moving the weft thread back consists in that a sensing device and the device for moving the inserted weft thread back are designed in this way and are actuated by the drive of the weaving machine that after the return movement of the weft thread has been initiated, the same is scanned on the exit side of the shed.
In the drawing, an embodiment of a device according to the invention for monitoring the weft thread is shown schematically. 1 shows the shed and devices that are effective when inserting the weft thread, FIG. 2 shows the catch lock for the shuttle on the exit side of the shed, with the shuttle return device and the feeler in section, FIGS. 3 and 4 positions of the feeler and the Edge thread clamp,
5 shows a diagram of the movements of the weft thread retractor, the feeler element, the shooter return slide and the edge thread clamp. Fig. 1 shows schematically the shed of a weaving machine with rapier shuttle and some devices effective when inserting the weft thread into the shed.
On the weft side on the left is the weft thread bobbin 11, its weft thread 44 through the eyelet 12, through the thread brake 14, further through the eyelet 16 of the weft retractor 17, which is rotatable about the axis 18, and through the fixed eyelet 19 to the right of the retractor 17 is drawn. The weft thread 44 also passes through the retractor 20, which is used to transfer the thread 44 to the shooter 43.
The shooters 43 are each shot on the shuttle guide 42 through the shed 41 by the beater 21, which is driven by the pivot shaft 22.
Both the swing axis 18 and the swing axis 22 is connected to the loom drive in such a way that the retractor 17 and the beater 21 are operated within the working cycle in a known manner by a cam drive in the area of the rotation angle of the main shaft assigned to them.
After the launch, the shooter in question runs past the shears 23 for the weft thread and the edge thread clamp 36 and through the compartment 41. When exiting the compartment 41, the shooter 43 goes past the edge thread clamp 46 and the feeler element 48 to to run into the safety lock 40 and to be braked by the gunner's brake 45, reaching the end position 43a.
When a shooter 43 is fired into the compartment 41, the thread brake 14 is released; the eyelet 16 of the thread retractor 17 is in its highest position 16a in that it has pulled out a weft thread loop. If the shooter 43 is now shot by the bat 21, whose thread clamp, which is arranged inside, holds the weft thread, the thread retractor 17 lowers in the direction of arrow 24.
The lowering movement of the retractor 17 takes place in connection with the movement of the shooter. During the weft insertion, the eyelet 16 remains in the lowermost layer 16u until the shooter 43 approaches the exit side of the shed. When the direction arrow 24 is then set opposite movement of the retractor 17 after the brake lever of the brake 14 has been lowered at the same time to brake the weft 44.
This movement of the thread retractor 17 initiates the pulling back of the weft thread 44, whereupon the beginning of the same is scanned by means of the feeler element 48, d. H. the feeler end 99 of this organ touches the weft thread in position dd (FIG. 3).
The tactile element, the needle 48 (FIG. 2), is fastened to the shaft 52 by means of the screw 51. The shaft 52 is mounted in the sleeve 53, which in turn is arranged in the sleeve 54. At the left end (Fig. 2) on the shaft 52, the pawl 55 and the collar 56 and on the latter the torsion spring 57 be fastened. The spring 57 strives to give the shaft 52 and the parts attached to it a rotary movement in the tactile direction; its right end is let into the sleeve 53.
When a shooter 43 runs into the catch lock 40, he is moved by the shuttle return pusher 86 from an arbitrary braking position 89 brought about by the braking into a predetermined release position 91 against the shed 41 (FIG. 4). The release position 91, in which the weft thread 44 is released by the shooter 43 by opening the thread clamp, is determined by the desired length of the beginning of the weft thread 44 protruding from the shed 41.
The braking position 89 resulting from the braking of a shooter 43 can be different from thread to thread, especially when weft threads 44 of different thicknesses or different materials are inserted. With the help of the return slide 86, which is moved from the left to the right by the adjusting lever 87 (FIG. 2), the said length is now set exactly the same for each weft thread 44 by retracting the shooter 43 into the release position 91 is absolutely necessary, for example, to produce a flawless insert edge.
The thread retractor 17 rises further and pulls the inserted weft thread 44 so that it remains stretched when the guard 43 is pushed back.
The wand 48 is lowered from its rest position cc (Fig. 3), after the initiation of the retraction of the inserted weft thread 44, the beginning of which on the exit side of the shed 41 can be scanned. Furthermore, the edge thread clamp 46 is also brought from its rest position at the fabric-side tip of the shed 44 with the jaw 93 open to the line of fire. The mutual positions of these parts can be seen from FIGS. 3 and 4.
Their movement curves are plotted over a rotation angle range of the main shaft of the loom before and after 360 in the diagram in FIG. Curve A shows the movement of the eyelet 16 of the weft thread retractor 17. At a, this begins from the lowest position 16L. lift and tighten the weft. According to the curve B, the feeler element 48 begins its downward movement from the rest position cc in FIG. 3 at the angular position c (FIG. 5).
The retaining tooth 97 (Fig. 3) of the ratchet lever 58 goes downward. The tooth 98 of the pawl 55, which rests against the tooth 97 under the load of the spring 57, consequently moves downwards, whereby the rotation of the shaft 52 ent counterclockwise in FIG. 3 and the downward movement of the probe end 99 of the needle 48 causes will. In the position dd (FIG. 3), the end 99 of the needle 48 touches the weft thread 44 and is stopped in the non-positive downward movement of the wand in the position ee by the weft thread 44, which forms a loop.
As soon as this is the case, the holding tooth 97 of the ratchet lever 58 is lifted from the ratchet tooth 98. A little later, the test tooth 101 of the pawl lever 58 enters the tooth gap 102 of the pawl 55 (Fig. 3). This movement is ended at the angular position f (Figure 5), after which the pawl lever 58 is rotated in the opposite direction and when the retaining tooth 97 is on the tooth 98 of the pawl 55, the upward movement of the wand 48 takes place, which occurs when the rest position cc (Fig. 3) at the angular position h in Fig. 5 ends.
Since the release position 91 of the shooter 43 is so far to the right that the right end of the shooter 43 is located within the movement space 49 of the wand 48 (Fig. 4), the movements of the shooter retractor 86 and the wand 48 must be in such angular positions Main shaft to be relocated that in the position gg (Fig. 3), d. i. at the angular position g in FIG. 5, the needle 48 is raised at least so far that the end 99 has emerged from the movement space 94 of the shooter 43.
The curve C in Fig. 5 shows the movement of the shooter return slide 86, which is shifted at the main shaft angular position k from the rest position to the right (Fig. 2), until about 360 the rear end of the shooter 43 in the release position 91 ( Fig. 4), after which the back slide 86 takes the rest position again at the angular position m.
The movement of the edge thread clamp 46 is represented by curve D. In the angular position n, the clamp 46 is ben shifted towards the firing line in order to grasp the weft thread 44. The clamping jaw 93 is closed by spring force in the angular position q, thereby the weft thread 44 is gripped. In the angular position r, the clamp 46 reaches the edge of the fabric, where it holds the weft thread 44 until it is struck and the ridges are laid.
The comparison of curves A and B with one another shows the following: The moving back of the weft thread 44 begins according to curve A at the angular position <I> a, </I> while according to curve <I> B </I> the tactile organ 48 its movement only at the angle position c, d. H. after a begins. The scanning only begins at the angular position d, that is to say only after the return movement of the weft thread 44 has been initiated.
This is also the case when the entire tactile movement is brought forward according to curve B '. Here the feeler 48 begins its lowering movement at the angular position c 'before the angular position a of the curve <I> A, </I> but the scanning at <I> d' </I> and e 'still takes place at a later point in time as a instead of. While the return pusher 86 pushes the shooter 43 back, the inserted weft thread 44 remains stretched as a result of the further lifting of the retractor 17, unless it is broken in or outside the compartment, or has not been pulled out of the shooter bracket.
On the other hand, a comparison of curves B, B 'and C shows that the initiation of the pushing back of the shooter 43 certainly occurs with curve B, but not with the advance of keying according to curve B' before the actual start of scanning takes place at the angular position <I> d </I> or at <I> d '</I>.
In the angular position g, the back slide 86 has, on the one hand, returned the shooter 43 to the edge of the movement space 49 of the wand 48 (FIG. 4). Since, on the other hand, the wand 48 is just leaving the passage space 94 of the contactor 43 in the angular position δ (FIG. 3), the latter can be moved into the release position 91 without stopping.
From the comparison of the curves <I> B </I> and <I> D </I> it can be seen that the edge thread clamp 46 is displaced simultaneously with the lowering of the wand 48 to fetch the thread 44, but the The stylus 48 is lifted from the weft thread 44 and the latter is again stretched before the edge thread clamp 46 has reached the left position on the firing line, shown in phantom in FIG. 3,
in wel cher the weft thread 44 enters the opened clamp at the angular position q. Only then is the clamping jaw 93 closed for gripping and holding the thread at the angular position r (FIG. 5).
If the weft thread 44 is missing on the exit side of the shed 41 or if it is torn at any point within it, the following occurs: the torn off part of the weft thread 44 can no longer be pulled by the thread retractor 17 when the weft thread 44 is withdrawn and becomes loose even if the point of separation of the weft thread 44 is placed near the weft side, as a result of the back slide of the guard 43 by the back slide 86.
When it is being lowered, the wand 48 is not stopped in its downward movement due to the missing or loose weft thread end. It rotates beyond the position ee in FIG. 3 to the position ii. With the further rotation of the ratchet lever 58, the test tooth 101 can no longer enter the tooth gap 102, since the ratchet tooth 103 of the pawl 55 blocks the path of the test tooth 101 and prevents further rotation of the lever 58.
Since a device is actuated in a known manner by moving a bearing in the drive of the ratchet lever 58, which causes the weaving machine to be shut down.
The angular range f11 to h for the decline of the wand 48 can be determined in such a way that the shaft 52 is rotated so far from the response of the parking device to the standstill of the main shaft of the weaving machine that the wand 48 is already in the rest position cc (Fig. 3) has reached <I> h </I> (Fig. 5) again at the angular position.
If this is the case, after the defective weft thread has been removed, a corrective shot can be made without the operator having to lift the wand 48 and the wand 48 is secured against damage.
If the entry organs are pushed back on dier exit side of the shed from an end position in a certain position against the shed and the weft thread is strongly tensioned when entering into the shed, it can happen that only the shuttle return slide 86, the Protect 43 pushes back, comes into operation, on the other hand until the weft thread is scanned on the exit side of the shed of the thread retractor 17 is not yet moved. In this case the weft thread is not withdrawn, but moved back.
