Ein bekannter Plattenwechsler (vergleiche US- Patent Nr. 2634983 vom 4.
Automatic disk changer The present invention relates to an automatic disk changer, with a turntable, a spindle that protrudes from the turntable, at its upper end offset carries a guide pin that can accommodate a stack of disks, and a mainly horizontal shoulder for has the support of the stack of plates at the upper end tapering for the displacement, with first means that are connected to the guide pin and serve to limit the horizontal movement of the plates with the exception of the lowest plate sitting on the support shoulder, with the second Means that are connected to the spindle and are used to
to push the bottom plate off the support shoulder during a plate change.
A known record changer (see US Pat. No. 2634983 of April 4, 1953) has a spindle with staggered parts which provide the main or only support for a stack of records which are released one after the other to move under the action of theirs Moving its own weight down into the playback position. The spindle has a sliding device housed in it, which periodically pushes the lowest of the stacked disks away from a shoulder carrying the disks in the form of a shoulder near the head of the spindle, so that this disk moves downward onto the turntable.
It is provided at its head with a guide piece which rises above the heel and carries a sliding pawl, the lower end of which extends through the central hole of the stack of plates, except for the lowest plate, which is free so that it can pass through one of internally operated sliding device can be pushed from the support shoulder. The sliding device, which is arranged in its entirety below the support shoulder, is actuated by a plunger arranged axially to the spindle, the vertical movement of which is converted into movements in four directions by appropriately designed means.
It turned out. that the bottom plate of the stack was not hindered from moving as the other plates above it while a plate was being played on the plate. Because if the turntable was shaken by a blow or the like while a record was being played, the bottom record of the stack, which was secured against vertical, but not horizontal movement, showed a tendency to move horizontally, whereby it easily left the support shoulder that served as a support and then fell down onto the turntable, even if the tonearm was still playing a record, so that damage usually occurred to the needle, the tonearm or some other part of the apparatus.
It has now been found that this after part by improving the design of the locking pawl and the slide lever of the spindle are eliminated and their interaction is improved so who can that the bottom plate when it is at rest; is prevented from falling on the platter when the turntable is exposed to a shock from the outside by a blow or the like.
To achieve this, the disk changer according to the present invention is characterized by third means which are connected to the first-mentioned means and serve to limit the horizontal movement of the lowermost disk and to prevent its premature delivery, and fourth means to the the second-mentioned Schiebemit means to move the third-mentioned means out of the position for securing the lowermost plate and to release this plate during the plate change.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject invention is illustrated. 1 shows a sectional elevation of the upper part of a previously known spindle, showing the position of the plates in relation to the position of the pawl and the sliding lever, FIG. 2 an elevation of the entire spindle according to the present invention with part of the plate plate in vertical section, Fig. 3 to 7 parts of vertical sections through the upper end of the spindle according to this invention and the spindle in various stages during the dropping of the bottom plate, and Fig. 8 is a section along the line 8-8 in Fig. 2.
In Fig. 2, R is a spindle which shows ge as a whole. It runs at 10 in a slope that ends at the constriction 12 at the top in a horizontal shoulder 11 carrying the plates, on which a rigidly attached guide pin 13 is placed, on which the edge of the pawl P at the edge 13a (see Fig. 3) rests against it and grinds on it when the pawl is moved upwards when the spindle is operated. Along the spindle, a recess is seen in front of to create a channel 14 which extends from the head of the guide pin down to a point approximately at the turntable T through which the spindle extends axially.
According to Fig. 2, the lower end of the spindle is surrounded by a sleeve-shaped bearing 15, around which a hub 16 attached to the turntable is rotatably added. The bearing 15 is carried by a part 17 of the turntable and has an annular shoulder 18 which supports the lower part of the hub 16 from. The lower end of the spindle R rests on a shoulder 19, which is provided in the bearing, and presses against the upper end of a helically wound spring, which rests with its lower end on the top of a capsule-shaped nut 21 with a polygonal head and through this nut is under compressive pressure.
The mother is formed convexly on its head side below and can rest against an actuating device 23 which is actuated by the turntable mechanism. This actuating device, which will be briefly drawn as an actuator in the following, can be a cam disk, a lever or some other suitably designed part to which movement is transmitted from the turntable to bring about a disk change.
The lower part of the spindle, i.e. H. the part below half of the slider S, has an axial Boh tion 24 into which a plunger 25 extends which is fastened in the capsule-shaped nut 21 by means of screw thread. The plunger 25 is moved upwards when a movement is transmitted from the actuator 23 against the tension of the spring 20 in order to initiate the start of a plate change. The spring 20 acts to return the plunger to its lower position at the end of the plate changing process.
The internally actuated spindle R has a slider S (FIGS. 3 to 7) which is arranged above the plunger 25 in the recess which forms the channel running along the spindle. The sliding piece S has at its lower end a recess running in the longitudinal direction of the spindle, which recess is designed so that it receives the upper end 26 of the ram 25, which is firmly connected to the sliding piece by suitable means.
The slider is also provided with a longitudinal slot 28 which is passed through a transverse pin 29 which is fixed in the spindle and enables the slider to slide up and down, the rear side 39 with the support wall 30 of the spindle, which delimits the longitudinal recess of the channel 14, is in sliding engagement.
The slider S has a front surface 32, which at its upper end forms a step-shaped paragraph 35, which is followed by a rising piece 36, a higher step paragraph 37 and then a cam, on the front an inclined surface 38 and a surface 39 at the rear , limit the nose forming the uppermost part of the slider. The rising piece 36 also leads downwards into a narrow slot 41 aligned with the rise, in which the lower end of a leaf spring 42 is anchored by caulking the slider S. The upper end of the leaf spring is bent in such a way that a contact head 44 results which can transmit its movement to the lever L.
The lever L is provided with sliding bearings, arranged within the channel 14 and has a sliding edge 45, immediately above this edge 45 a step-shaped shoulder 46 for lowering a plate and above the shoulder 46 a shoulder 47. The lever L protrudes at an angle so out of the spindle that its upper end part, in particular the special approach 47, within the space he stretches which is formed by the center holes of the plates c, d and e carried by the support shoulder 11.
The lower end of the lever L tapers to a rounded nose 53 which is delimited at the front by the surface 51 and at the rear by the surface 52, which meet at the lowest point to form an angle. The lever is provided at the un tern end with a longitudinal slot 56 which receives a transverse pin 55 around which the lever can rotate and slide in four directions, namely up and down, to the left and to the right. In the vicinity of the slot 56 is on the front surface 51 an elevation 58 with an upper and lower shoulder, each of which can menarbeit together with the application head 44 of the leaf spring.
In this way the contact head 44 of the leaf spring 42 rests against the lower shoulder of the elevation 58 when the slider S is moved upwards by the actuator 23 when changing the plate, thereby causing the movement of the lever L, as illustrated in FIGS. 3 to 7 light and is described in more detail below.
Above the lever L a pawl P is arranged near the upper end of the spindle, the pin with its longitudinal slot 59 is mounted around a transverse pin 60, the ends of which pin 13 are fixed in the guide. The wall of the channel 14 ver runs along the edge 13a diagonally to the lowest point of the guide pin 13. The side of the pawl that rests against the inclined wall is also correspondingly inclined and designed so that the front derkante 61 of the pawl opposite the inclined wall with the adjacent surface of the guide pin 13 runs parallel. In this way, the pawl is mainly in the channel 14, as shown for the rest position in FIG.
Fig. 3 shows the lower tapered end 63 of the pawl in the position within the center hole H and between the lower and upper playing surface of the bottom plate c. Generally this end is in the middle of the record height (record thickness). When the pawl is in this rest position and its lower end 63 is located directly in front of the surface 62 of the constriction 12, while the disk b, on the turntable T the Fig. 2 is shown, the disc c, if a blow or other vibration hits the turntable, not be moved in the horizontal direction Rich, which prevents the disc c prematurely while the disc b is being played falls on this.
But if the plate c is to be lowered, the lever L interacts with the pawl P by pushing the pawl upwards so that the plate c can be moved horizontally by means of the sliding edge 45 of the lever L.
In Fig. 1, the upper part of a previously common spindle is shown in the rest position, the individual units of the lower part of the spindle are mainly the same as in Figs. 3 to 7. It is easy to see that in Fig. 1 the plate c is held down by a plate support shoulder before falling, but nothing is provided to prevent the plate from being shifted horizontally to the right.
A vibration of the turntable of any kind could cause the record to turn to the right, leave the support shoulder and fall onto the turntable while a record is being played, damaging the tonearm or another sensitive part.
After the disk changer described here, one or more disks, as shown in FIGS. 2 to 7, are placed on the spindle. Two plates a and b are already sitting on the plate plate T according to Figure 2, while three plates c, d and e, one lying on top of the other, are still sitting on the support shoulder 11 of the spindle. After playing the disk b, the tonearm is guided away from the space above the turntable by means of appropriate devices, and at about the same time the actuator 23 begins an upward movement of the plunger 25 so that the slider S is moved upward.
The contact head 44 of the leaf spring 42 on the slider S slides along the front surface 51 of the lever L (Fig. 3) until it comes to rest against the lower shoulder of the elevation 58, whereby the lever is moved upwards, as shown in Fig. 4 is illustrated where the sliding edge 45 is located within the center hole H of the lowermost plate e. For this position, the projection 47 has touched the pawl at the bottom at 63 and pushed it upwards from the position blocking the movement of the plate.
The further upward movement of the slider causes the sliding lever L to tilt slightly about its transverse pin 55 at the lower end of the slot 56, whereby the sliding edge 45 touches the plate c and pushes it in the horizontal direction from the support shoulder 11, the pawl not in their locked position is (Fig. 5). At the same time be the lever prepares the inclusion of the plate d on the approach 46 for lowering the plates, while the lower end of the pawl on the upper surface of the plate c slides. In Fig. 6, the plate c is shown in its falling motion due to its own gravity in the direction of the turntable, not shown ge.
It can also be seen from FIG. 6 that the contact head 44 of the leaf spring 42 lies on the upper shoulder of the elevation 58. The rounded nose 53 of the lever is in engagement with the inclined surface 38 of the slider S. In this position, the plate d is not yet lowered onto the support shoulder 11. Now the lower end 63 of the pawl falls into its lowest position and extends through the central hole H of the plate d, which is carried by the shoulder 46 of the lever.
In this overall position, the plunger 25 begins its downward movement, so that the slider S and thus also the lever L are pulled downwards, whereby the plate d, as shown in FIG. 7, sits on the support shoulder 11. As can be seen in FIG. 7, the application head 44 of the leaf spring 42 is still in engagement with the upper shoulder of the elevation 58.
The further lowering of the plunger 25 brings the slider S into its lowest position and causes the application head 44 to leave the upper shoulder of the elevation 58 and return to its lowest position shown in FIG. 3, whereby the lever L counterclockwise into its Rest position tilts.
The leaf spring 42 is intended for three tasks: a) in engagement with the lower shoulder of the elevation 58. Should it bring the lever L up into the Stel lungs according to FIGS. 4 and 5, b) in engagement with the upper shoulder The elevation 58 should bring the lever L down into the position according to FIG. 7 - and c) when going down into the lowest position it should bring the lever L counterclockwise to the rest position according to FIG.
Even if the uppermost part of the lever L is drawn lying in the center hole of the lowermost plate c in FIG. 3, its position is not to be regarded as essential. But it is of crucial importance that the spindle, and in particular the lever, is provided with means to push the lower part of the pawl out of the position for securing the plates in order to enable the plate changing process.
The lever has such a width on the sliding part that the locking pawl when it is moved out of the position for securing the plates during the plate change and the lever is pivoted so that it can start moving the lowest plate to return to the position for the plate backup is kept locked until the bottom plate has been moved enough in the hori zontal direction to be free to fall.
Although the present invention has also been described on the basis of preferred exemplary embodiments, modifications of the device can of course be made without, as those skilled in the art can easily understand, departing from the scope of this invention for the purpose. Thus, such modifications are considered to fall within the scope of this invention.
