Low-melting brazing solder In the main patent specification, a low-melting brazing alloy is claimed which produces a corrosion-resistant, anodizable solder joint on aluminum or aluminum alloys and contains the following components in addition to Al:
EMI0001.0000
0.2 <SEP> to <SEP> 20 / o <SEP> copper
<tb> 0.1 <SEP> to <SEP> 3 <SEP> 11 / o <SEP> silver
<tb> 4 <SEP> to <SEP> 27 <SEP> 11 / o <SEP> tin
<tb> 0.5 <SEP> to <SEP> 80 / o <SEP> zinc
<tb> 0.4 <SEP> to <SEP> 3.75% <SEP> cadmium It has now been found that, in certain cases, a satisfactory low-melting braze can also be obtained if one uses part of the according to the main patent No alloy additives added to aluminum.
The hard solder of the present invention is thus characterized in that, in addition to 55 to 95% aluminum, it contains at least one, but at the same time a maximum of four of the elements copper, silver, tin, zinc and cadmium in a total amount of at most 450% The braze according to the invention can also contain at least one of the elements magnesium, silicon, manganese, nickel, cobalt, antimony, lead and bismuth in a total amount of at most 150%.
The exact composition of the solder is preferably adapted to the respective needs, i.e. the working conditions and the materials to be soldered.
The hard solder can contain 55-950 / o aluminum and optionally 5-451 / o one of the elements silver, copper, tin, zinc and cadmium. However, it can also contain two or more, but a total of no more than four, of the aforementioned elements in a minimum amount of 511% and a maximum amount of 450%. Some examples of the compositions of solders according to the invention are given below, the quantitative measurements of the individual constituents given above and below being to be understood as percentages by weight.
