Likewise, the bismuth is completely absent in a known magnesium alloy with 7 bis & 200/0 aluminum or 3 to 20% zinc or 3 to 200/0 aluminum and zinc, which also contains cadmium. Likewise, both bismuth and cadmium are absent from a known one

added up to a maximum of 5%. All these known magnesium alloys differ fundamentally from the present alloy in that the alloy components required for the alloy according to the patent are missing cadmium or bismuth or both; so that the advantageous properties of the alloy according to the patent cannot be achieved.
In contrast, the subject matter of the patent relates to a magnesium alloy according to the parent patent no. 160729 with an aluminum content of 1 to 140/0 and contents of bismuth and cadmium and essentially consists in the fact that bismuth and cadmium are partially replaced by thallium or zinc or by these Both metals are replaced, with the bismuth content more than 2% and the bismuth content, cadmium. Thallium and / or zinc together is 4 to 14%.
However, such alloys are excluded from the bismuth-cadmium-zinc alloys.

According to the parent patent, there is no deterioration in the alloy properties of zinc. The alloys according to the patent show after the tempering or other usual post-treatment

4. 6% aluminum, 3% bismuth, 3% cadmium, 4% zinc, the remainder magnesium or magnesium with the usual additives.
5. 8% aluminum. 3% bismuth, 2% cadmum, 3% zinc, remainder as above
In magnesium alloys usual additives are z. B. manganese, calcium, silicon, one or more of the metals of the iron group.
The above alloys show strengths of about 40 to 45 kg / mm2 at 3 to 5% elongation.
