Description
Substanzen folgender Formeln:
EMI0001.0040
EMI0002.0001
Cyclische Thioharnstoffderivate, zum Beispiel Thiobarbitursäure, 4-6-Diaminothiopyrimidin, 1-Me- thylthiohydantoin
EMI0002.0008
Thiazol- und Thiodiazolderivate, zum Beispiel:
EMI0002.0011

Process for bleach-fixing of photographic images A process for bleach-fixing of photographic silver images is known from German patent specification No. 866605, according to which solutions are used as bleach-fixing baths which, in addition to known fixing agents for halogen silver, contain complex salts of trivalent iron with certain organic acids, as for example with ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid or nitrilotriacetic acid.
These bleach-fix baths are distinguished by their high resistance and are used in particular for the production of multicolor images by the color development process. However, these baths have the disadvantage that they are not always able to completely bleach the silver images in the areas of highest density.
The present invention relates to a method for bleach-fixing photographic images, which is characterized in that the bleaching is fixed in the presence of organic compounds
EMI0001.0012
contain, makes. The organic compounds mentioned can improve the effectiveness of the bleach-fix baths without affecting their shelf life.
The method of bleach-fixing according to the invention can also be used in particular in the case of multicolor images after the color development process.
Organic compounds that make up the group
EMI0001.0017
contain, for example: thiourea, also derivatives of thiourea, which are substituted by alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or heterocyclic groups, such as 4-aminobenzene sulfosauride, N, N'-dimethylol thiourea, phenylthiourea 4-sulfonic potassium, N, N'-dimethylthiourea,
Trimethylthiourea, N, N'-diacetylthiourea.
Usable substances are also: tetramethyldiaminothiobenzophenone, thiosemicarbazide, diethanolamine salt of benzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone-4-carboxylic acid.
Substances of the following formulas:
EMI0001.0040
EMI0002.0001
Cyclic thiourea derivatives, for example thiobarbituric acid, 4-6-diaminothiopyrimidine, 1-methylthiohydantoin
EMI0002.0008
Thiazole and thiodiazole derivatives, for example:
EMI0002.0011
Preferably those substances are used which are readily soluble in the bleach-fix baths, in amounts of 1-10 g per liter. These substances are preferably added to the bleach-fix baths.
But they can also be introduced into the photographic layers to be processed, for example by a pre-bath.
Example 1 A multilayer material intended for the production of colored photographic images by the process of color development is developed in a color developer in the usual way after exposure and washed with water.
The following composition is then treated in a bleach bath:
