Artificial tooth
The invention relates to an artificial tooth of a crown-like design which is equipped with one or more anchoring pins.
Crown-shaped artificial teeth are known in dental prosthetics. They are perceived as pleasant by the prosthesis wearer because they give him the physical impression of natural teeth. However, such artificial teeth are mainly intended for replacing individual teeth.
When using artificial dental crowns for plate prosthetics, special anchoring cores with metal notches had to be changed or pins had to be attached as holding elements. This method is cumbersome and relatively expensive.
These disadvantages are eliminated by the invention. According to the invention, the crown-like artificial tooth has a depression on the cervical surface, which is shaped according to the alveolar ridge, in the area of which an anchoring pin is located approximately perpendicular to the cervical surface of the tooth (tooth base), which results in an inclined arrangement of the pin relative to the tooth axis.
The drawing illustrates an embodiment of the invention on an artificial tooth equipped with an anchoring pin.
The crown-shaped artificial tooth a has a box-like depression c at its lower end adjacent to the prosthesis base plate b, which extends almost over the entire extent of the cervical surface d and with this approximately follows the course of the alveolar ridge e. The position of the anchoring pin f to the prosthesis base plate b can be seen from the drawing. One end of the gold button pin f is anchored in the usual way in the prosthesis base plate b and the other end in the tooth body a, where it pierces the recess c.
The invention is applicable to artificial teeth made of any suitable material. In particular, it can be used for artificial teeth made of porcelain.
PATENT CLAIM
Artificial tooth with a crown-like design, which is equipped with an anchoring pin, characterized in that the cervical surface, which is shaped according to the course of the alveolar ridge, has a depression, in the area of which an anchoring pin is located approximately perpendicular to the cervical surface of the tooth, whereby the pin is arranged at an angle to the tooth axis results.
UNDER CLAIM
Artificial tooth according to claim, characterized in that more than one anchoring pin is attached.
