Artificial incisor. The dental work requires so far
two different types of incisors, namely those with an articulation surface
provided and approximately the thickness of the natural teeth exhibiting full teeth
and the flat teeth for limited space. Both types of teeth are in
usually attached to the tooth carrier by means of burnt-in pins.
The full teeth can only be attached to rubber in this way, because
Experience has shown that they cannot tolerate soldering their pen to metal plates.
For full teeth, it has already been suggested to use them instead of burned-in
loosely inserted and fixed with aids or with a box-like pin
To provide version; these types of fastening are, however, too cumbersome and expensive,
and they also weaken the tooth too much to be of practical use
to be able to. Furthermore, it has already been proposed for flat teeth to use them by means of pin channels
on slanted pins sitting on a back plate. A transformation
from a full tooth to a flat tooth, however, none of these "tooth types
so that the dentist so far has full teeth and flat teeth for every size and color
Must hold stock.
In contrast, the invention aims to create a universal cutting tooth,
d. H. of a tooth, which as a full tooth and, transformed, as a flat tooth and further
can be used for rubber as well as metal bits. That goal is
according to the invention achieved in that the tooth in the manner of full incisors

and in the manner of the flat teeth mentioned above on that back thickening with an or
several pin channels for attaching to corresponding pins of the bit and with
provided parallel or tapered side surfaces. is. One of those
The full incisor can be used without changing its longitudinal profile and without impairment

as a flat tooth, but also as a full cutting tooth, interchangeable and for metal as well as
can be used for rubber bits. as a result of that general usability of the tooth
it is possible to have a larger selection of incisors with the same procurement costs
to keep in stock in different colors and profiles; and it's cheaper
The manufacture of the tooth is also very significant as a result of the reduction in
very expensive tooth shape models to a third to a quarter of what was previously required

Zahnträger e ausgebildete Seitenflächen i, also kastenartig gehalten werden.
The tooth tt is provided with an articulation surface b in the manner of the heel teeth; the back part c of the tooth has parallel or tapered side surfaces d, and it is held by the tooth carrier e, a plate, a bridge or a pin tooth by means of one or more pins g which engage in corresponding recesses h of the tooth. In addition, the tooth can also be held by means of an abutment surface f formed on the tooth carrier or instead or additionally by side surfaces i formed on the tooth carrier e, that is to say in a box-like manner. Furthermore, the tooth can also be provided with a lower projection, which is customary in the case of heel teeth, with which it lies against the tooth carrier. As a result of the all-round back tapering of the back part of the tooth, it is possible to grind the tooth without its longitudinal profile changing, and to use it as a tooth with an articulation surface or as a flat tooth in a wide variety of thicknesses that can be selected depending on the oral conditions, i.e. it, and without any change. to grind down its longitudinal profile from a very strong tooth with an articulation surface while reducing this surface to a thin flat tooth and to use it in one of these gradations as required.
