where R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 are hydrogen or hydrocarbon residues, have a growth-inhibiting and killing effect on plants even in very low concentrations. Compounds of the formula I defined above are, for.
B. from cyanuric chloride and ammonia, primary or secondary amines easily adjustable ago.
They are particularly suitable as active ingredients for weed control agents, both for the selective killing of weeds under cultivated plants and for the total killing and prevention of undesired vegetation. Among weeds are also undesirable, z. B. understood previously or nearby crops grown. The compounds defined above are also suitable as active ingredients for exercising other inhibitory effects on plant growth, in particular defoliation, acceleration of ripening by drying out prematurely, eg.

<SEP> 64-66.3 The active ingredients to be used according to the invention for influencing plant growth can be solutions, emulsions, suspensions or dusts; the forms of application depend entirely on the intended use. All the application forms have to ensure that the active substance can be distributed fine. In particular, in the total killing of vegetation, in the premature drying out and defoliation, the effect can be achieved through the use of phytotoxic carriers, such as.
B. high boiling the mineral oil fractions or chlorinated hydrocarbons are reinforced; on the other hand, the selectivity of the growth inhibition comes when using substances indifferent to plants, such. B. in selective weed control may be more evident.
For the production of directly sprayable solutions come z. B. mineral oil fractions of medium to high boiling point, such as kerosene or diesel oil, also coal tar oils and oils of vegetable or animal origin, and cyclic hydrocarbons, such as tetrahydronaphthalene and alkylated naphtha, into consideration, which according to the invention can be used active ingredients, optionally using suitable auxiliary solvents such as B.
Xylene. Get solutions in lower boiling solvents, such as alcohol in particular, z. B. ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol or methylcyclohexanol, ketones, e.g. B. acetone or cyclohexanone, hydrocarbons, e.g. B.
Benzene, toluene, xylene, and also in chlorinated hydrocarbons, such as tetrachloroethane, ethylene chloride or trichlorethylene, are less suitable for direct application than for combination with suitable emulsifying agents for the preparation of concentrates for the preparation of aqueous emulsions.
Aqueous application forms are prepared from emulsion concentrates, pastes or wettable powders (wettable powders) by adding water. To produce emulsions, the active substances as such or dissolved in one of the abovementioned solvents, preferably by means of wetting or dispersing agents, are homogenized in water.
Examples of cation-active emulsifiers or dispersants are quaternary ammonium compounds, anion-active emulsifiers, soap, soft soap, aliphatic, long-chain sulfuric acid monoesters, aliphatic or aromatic sulfonic acids,
long-chain alkoxyacetic acids and non-ionic emulsifiers, polyethylene ethers of fatty alcohols and polyethylene oxide condensation products. However, concentrates which are suitable for dilution with water can also be prepared from active ingredient, emulsifier or dispersant and possibly solvent.
Dusts can be produced by mixing or jointly grinding active substances with a solid carrier. The following can be considered as such: talc, diatomaceous earth, kaolin, bentonite, calcium carbonate, boric acid, tricalcium phosphate, but also wood flour, cork flour, coal and other materials of vegetable origin. On the other hand, the carrier substances can also be impregnated with solutions of the active substances in volatile solvents.
By adding wetting agents and protective colloids, pulverulent preparations and pastes can be suspended in water and made usable as sprays.
The various forms of application can be used in the usual way by adding substances that improve the distribution, the adhesive strength, the rain resistance and possibly the penetration capacity, such as from z. B. fatty acids, resins, wetting agents, glue, casein or alginates can be adapted to the intended use. Their biological effect can also be broadened by adding substances with bactericidal, fungicidal or properties that also affect plant growth, as well as fertilizers.
The present invention relates to a method for influencing plant growth, in particular for combating weeds, characterized by the use of compounds of formula 1. The invention also relates to a means for carrying out this method, which is a compound of formula 1 and a contains solid carrier. Some examples of typical application forms are given below.
Example I 80 parts of 2-ethylamino-4-isopropylamino-6-diethylamino-s-triazine are mixed with 19.5 parts of a solid, inert carrier substance, e.g. B. kaolin, kieselguhr or bentonite and 0.5 parts of adhesive, e.g. B. stearic acid, olefin, mineral oil, ground in a suitable ball mill to the greatest fineness. The mixture serves as a dusting agent.
Example 2 20 parts of 2,4,6-tris-ethylamino-s-triazine are mixed with 70 parts of a solid, inert carrier substance, e.g. B. kaolin, chalk, bentonite or kieselguhr, 7 parts of a nonionic wetting agent, e.g. B. a sulfuric acid ester of an alkyl polyglycol ether, and 3 parts of protective colloid, z. B. sulphite liquor, finely ground in a pin mill. The powder obtained can be suspended in water and can be processed into sprays.
Example 3 A row (10 seeds) of wheat, mustard, alfalfa and carrots each with a seed depth of 3 cm and a second row of the same seed types each with a seed depth of 1 cm were sown and lightly watered in seed trays . The seed trays were then sprayed with 0.1 liters per square meter of 2% emulsions or suspensions of the compounds to be tested (depending on their physical state), corresponding to 2 g of active substance per square meter.
After 21 days, those with 2-amino-4,6-bis-diethylamino-s-triazine, 2-amino-4,6-bis-allylamino-s-triazine and 2,4,6-tris-diethylamino-s -triazine-treated seed trays mustard and alfalfa are dead, while wheat and cod are intact. In the peel treated with 2-ethylamino-4,6-bis-diethylamino-s-triazine, 2,4-bis-äthylamino-6-diethylamino-s-triazine, mustard and alfalfa were dead, wheat was damaged and carrots were intact .
Example 4 3-4 week old cotton plants dusted with a dust composed of 10 parts of 2,4-bis-ethylamino-6-diethylamino-s-triazine and 90 parts of talc as a carrier showed within 1-3 days severe leaf burns after application. 2-Ethylamino-4,6-bis-diethylamino-s-triazine had a similar effect.
