Process for the preparation of ss, ss-dichlorovinyldimethylphosphate It is. known that dialkyl j6, ss-dichlorovinyiester of phosphoric acid arise when chloral with. Trialkilphosphiten is implemented.
The surprising observation has now been made that the ss, ss-diehlorovinyldimethylphosphate, which has not yet been described, can be obtained in a completely new way from the condensation product of chloral with dimethylphosphite.
When dimethyl phosphite condenses with chloral, the dimethyl ester of ss, ss, ss-trichloro-a.-oxy-ethylphosphonic acid is formed
EMI1.20
Under the influence of alkali, alkali metal carbonates, ammonia or suitable organic bases, the trichloroethyl-α-oxyphosphonic acid dimethyl ester is now, surprisingly, rearranged to the ss, ss-dichlorovinyldimethylphosphoric acid ester with one Uol of hydrochloric acid. This transformation could not be foreseen, because according to the available literature (W.L. Abramow, L.
P. Ssemenova and L. G. Ssemenova, Ber. d. Akad. D. Sciences of the USSR, Vol. 84, No. 2, 281-284, C. 1952, 6357-6358) is only known that α-oxyalkylphosphonic acid esters are associated with. Let the alkali saponify to the corresponding ketone or aldehyde and the dialkyl phosphite.
The ss, ss-dichlorovinyldimethylphosphate has various insecticidal properties. Aphids and spider mites are 100% killed in a concentration of 0.01%. A systemic effect of these compounds is clearly demonstrable. Surprisingly, the conversion of the dimethyl ester of ss, ss, ss-trichloro-a-oxy-ethyl-phosphonic acid to the corresponding ss,
ß-Dichlorviny lester of dimethyl phosphoric acid is limited to this initial member of a homologous series. Even the corresponding ethyl ester of f ', ss, ss-trichloro-oxy-ethyl-phosphonic acid shows this rearrangement only to a negligible extent. In the case of the higher homologues, this rearrangement was not possible at all. more to be noted.
The present invention relates to a process for the production of ss, ss-dichlorovinyldimethyl phosphate, characterized in that ss, ss, ss-triehloro-α-oxy-ethyl-phosphonic acid dimethyl ester is mixed with alkaline agents.

The above-described conversion of the dimethyl ester of ss, ss, .ss-trichloro-a-oxy-ethyl-phosphonic acid proceeds according to the following equation
EMI2.5
The easy accessibility of the ss, ss-dichlorovinyldimethylphosphate is evident from the following examples:
Example 1 129 g (0.5 mol) of ss, ss, ss-trichloro-a-oxy-ethyl-dimethylphosphonate are dissolved in 1.3 liters of water and 40 cm3 of conc. Ammonia added. After half an hour of heating to 50-60, the solution reacts neutrally to litmus.
One takes. the precipitated oil with carbon tetrachloride, washes it with a little water, dries it over sodium sulfate and receives 53 g of ss, ss-dichlorovinyldimethylphosphate with bp 1/69 to 71 by distillation. Yield: 48% of theory. Example 129 g (0.5 mol) of ss, ss, ss-trichloro-a-oxy-ethyl-dimethylphosphonate are dissolved in 250 cubic meters of methanol. A sodium methyl acetate solution, which was prepared from 11.5 g of sodium, is added dropwise to this solution at below 30.degree.
When the reaction has ended, the sodium chloride is filtered off with suction and the solvent is distilled off in vacuo. The residue is taken up in benzene and washed with water until the wash water is free of chlorine ions. After brief drying over sodium sulfate, after fractionation, 5.1 g of ss, ss-dichlorovinyldimethylphosphate of bp 3 / 86-87 are obtained. Yield:
49% of theory. Example, 3 129 g (0.5 mol) of ss, ss, ss-trichloro-a-oxy-ethyl-dimethyl phosphonate are suspended or dissolved in 250 cm3 of water. At 25-30, 53 g of triethylamine are added dropwise. After stirring for about half an hour, the oil is taken up in carbon tetrachloride. On fractionation, 56 g of the ss, ss-dichlorovinyldimethylphosphate are obtained. Yield: 51% of theory.
Example i 129 g (0.5 mol) of ss, ss, ss-trichloro-a-oxy-ethyl-dimethylphosphonate are dissolved in 500 cubic meters of water and heated to 30-70. A solution of 20 g Ätzna.tron in 50% water is added dropwise with stirring. A colorless oil separates out with an exothermic reaction (the temperature rises to about 90 during the formation of the oil).
After the usual work-up, 64 g of the ss.ss-Dichlorv inyldimethylphosphats of bp 2 / 80-82 are obtained. Yield: 58% of theory. Example s 129 g (0.5 Hol) ss, ss, ss-Trich®or-a-oxy-ethyl-dimethylphosphonate are mixed in 500 cubic meters of water. As indicated in Example 4, sodium hydroxide solution is added dropwise with cooling in such a way that the temperature is kept at 5-10. After working up, 61 g of ss, ss-Diehlorvinyldimethylphosphat with a boiling point of 2 / 80-82 are obtained. Yield: 561 / o of theory.
Example 6 129 g (0.5 mol) ss, ss, ss-Triehlor-a-oxy-ethyl-dimethyl-phosphonate. are dissolved in 500 cubic meters of water at 70-75. At this temperature, a solution of 30 g of sodium carbonate in 200 cubic meters of water is added dropwise and stirring is continued for about half an hour at this temperature until the solution reacts litmus-neutral. The oil is taken up in carbon tetrachloride, washed, dried in the manner described and 58 g of the ss, ss-
