Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 Watch movement The increased demands of customers are pushing manufacturers to seek solutions that will make it possible to easily manufacture watch movements that are as flat as possible and this without the prices being significantly influenced. This goal is particularly difficult to achieve in watch movements of the kind in which the barrel is superimposed on the moving parts of the center, as for example in Roskopf watches, given that the superposition of said movement parts necessarily leads to an increase in thickness. movement.

   However, according to the invention, this object is achieved, in a movement of the aforementioned type, by the fact that the barrel body is rotatably mounted with the aid of a tubular hub which it presents, on a fixed tenon. , the barrel cover being formed by the winding ratchet which is fixed on a sleeve itself mounted rotatably on said tubular hub of the barrel body and having attachment means for the inner end of the barrel spring.

  The appended drawing shows, by way of example, a vertical section of part of a watch movement according to the invention.

  In this drawing, 1 is the movement plate, to which is fixed, from below, a removable bridge 2 which is secured to a hollow threaded tenon 2a. 3 is the barrel body which has a tubular hub 3a by means of which it is rotatably mounted on the tenon 2a. On this tubular hub 3a is mounted, on the other hand, also rotatably, a sleeve 4 having a hook 7 to which is attached the inner end of the barrel spring which is not shown here.

   On the end of this sleeve 5 which is remote from the bridge 2 is fixed the winding ratchet 5 of the movement, this ratchet simultaneously acting as a barrel cover. A screw 6 screwed into the hollow tenon with internal thread maintains these various parts in the assembled state. The timer wheel 8 is mounted freely, via its pinion 9, on an extension of the tubular hub 3a of the barrel.

  It is obvious that the part which has been designated above by 2, and which, in this case is a removable bridge, could form a single piece with the body of the plate. The hollow threaded tenon 2a would then be integral with part of the plate. In both cases, the barrel is rotatably mounted on a fixed pin.

  The construction described above makes it possible to reduce, as noted above, the thickness of the movement. It also has the advantage of good guidance of the barrel.
