Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du dispositif de chasse suivant l'invention. La fig. 1 est une vue latérâle du dispositif complet, encastré dans un mur ; la fig. 2 est une vue de face du réservoir de chasse suivant la ligne11-11 de la fig. 1 ; la fig. 3 est une vue en coupe longitudinale axiale, à échelle agrandie, de la partie supé rieure du tuyau de décharge avec le dispositif de commande de la chasse ; la fig. 4 en est une vue en élévation de face ;
Flushing device for water closets The present invention relates to a positive device for flushing water closets, comprising a flushing tank and a discharge pipe, characterized in that it comprises means of flush control comprising a ball arranged so as to simply rest on a seat formed in a connector mounted between said reservoir and said discharge pipe, and a rod for lifting said ball.
The device according to the invention can be applied advantageously either to public water closets or to private water closets and the control can be automatic or manual.
The flushing tank and its discharge pipe may preferably be embedded in a wall. According to a preferred embodiment, the hand-operated device for flushing the toilet is formed by a pusher which controls an angled lever, which, in turn, acts directly on a lifting rod of the ball, which acts as a valve. If, for example, the aforesaid rod is vertical and the pusher horizontal, the angled lever connecting the rod to the pusher may preferably be a lever having approximately orthogonal arms. The flushing tank may preferably be provided with an inspection gate.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the hunting device according to the invention. Fig. 1 is a side view of the complete device, embedded in a wall; fig. 2 is a front view of the flushing tank along the line 11-11 of FIG. 1; fig. 3 is a view in axial longitudinal section, on an enlarged scale, of the upper part of the discharge pipe with the flush control device; fig. 4 is a front elevational view;
fig. 5 is a view in elevation of a detail of the device for adjusting the arrival of water in the cistern. The cistern 1 is embedded in a wall, preferably to a depth corresponding to the thickness of a normal brick, the discharge pipe 2 also being embedded in the wall, so that only the gate is visible. 3 allowing to visit the tank, the push-button control 4 of the flush and the end 5 of the discharge pipe 2 connected to a bowl 6.
The device for filling the tank consists of a pipe 7, a filling valve 8 and a pipe 9 which, by pouring the water onto an inclined wall 10 of the tank, makes the filling of the latter silent. this.
The filling of the cistern 1 is controlled by a float 11, an arm 12 of which has a threaded end 13 screwed onto a part 14 capable of oscillating at 15 on a bracket 16 fixed to the pipe 9. When the water reaches the level desired in the tank 1, the float 11 acts with its end 13 on the filling valve 8. By screwing or unscrewing the arm 12 of the float more or less in the part 14, an anticipatory or delayed action of the valve is obtained. filling. The adjustment can be done very simply by or by opening the inspection door 3 of the tank. The flow can be moderate or blocked by tightening a nut 17, placed on the threaded end of the arm 12 against the part 14.
The gate 3 is provided with one or more holes for the passage of air.
An emerging tube 18 in the tank 1 (fig. 2) acts as an overflow. Its purpose is to discharge the water from the tank directly into the discharge pipe 2 in order to prevent the water level from reaching the height of the gate 3 and spilling out through a faulty adjustment. outside. The discharge of the water by flushing occurs along the discharge pipe 2, approximately vertical, and it is controlled by a ball 19 arranged so as to simply rest on an annular seat 20 formed in a fitting forming the end. top of the discharge pipe, fitting placed between the tank and the discharge pipe. Normally, when the tank 1 is full, the ball 19 is pressed on the seat 20 by the hydrostatic pressure which thus ensures the necessary support of the ball on the seat 20.
In order to be able to cause - the discharge of water for the flushing, there is mounted, inside the pipe 2, a vertical rod 21, capable of sliding along the axis of the pipe in collars 22, and supported by an angled lever 23 having two arms 24, 25 orthogonal to each other.
The lever 23, pivoting at 25 ', pushed by the weight of the rod 21 supported by the arm 24, normally presses with its arm 25 against a rod 26 of a horizontal pusher 27. A return spring 28 tends to return the pusher 27 outwards.
By acting on said pusher with sufficient force to overcome the action of the return spring 28 and of the rod 21, one causes a rotation of the lever 23 in the direction of clockwise (fig. 3) and, thus, the lifting of the rod 21 and, consequently, that of the ball 19. The water will thus be free to pass from the tank 1 into the pipe 2 and thus into the bowl 6. The discharge of the water being completed and the pusher released, the ball 19 returns by gravity to its seat 20, again closing off the water discharge.
When the ball 19 is lifted, it normally performs a rotation around its center under the action of the water flowing along its periphery and, therefore, it continuously changes the annular bearing surface on the seat 20, which has the advantage of avoiding continuous wear of the ball in a determined bearing zone.
The advantages of the device described are: the possibility of adjusting the degree of filling of the cistern, the silent filling of the tank, the safety of the overflow when the water reaches a certain level in the tank (for example by following damage in the filling valve), the simplicity and safety of the discharge device, the small footprint of the device because the flushing device can be completely built into the wall.
