Auf dieses Leitblech 8 läuft die mit der zweiten Hand geführte, auf die Tischplatte 2 aufgelegte, mehrlagige Stoff schicht 9 auf.
Auf den an genannten Tragkopf 5a an sehliessenden Teil des Handgriffes 1 ist ein winkliges Lagerstück 10 mit dem einen Sehen kel aufgesetzt und durch eine Schraube 11 be festigt. Am abwärts gerichteten Schenkel des Lagerstückes 10 ist. ein Drehbolzen 12 gela gert, welcher auf dem einen Ende den zwei armigen Schwenkhebel 13, 1.1 trägt., der nor malerweise infolge der Schwerkraft mit seinem Arm 14 auf dem zu schneidenden Stoff aufliegt.
Am entsprechenden Ende besitzt. der Hebelarm 14 einen aufwärts gerichteten An- sehla,gschenkel 14a in Form eines Kreisbogens, dessen Radius in der Mitte .des Drehbolzens 12 liegt.
Die in bezug aufeinander aus ver schiedenem Werkstoff angefertigten Hebel arme 13 und 14 sind durch eine Metallplatte 75 vereinigt.; der als Handgriff dienende He belarin 13 besteht aus Metall, der auf der einen Seite der Sehneidscheibe 3 befindliche., über die Arbeitszone, das heisst den Bereich der Selineidseheibe 3 vorragende Hebelärm 14 ist z. B. aus Zelhiloid oder ähnlichem durch schneidendem Werkstoff hergestellt, um die Arbeitszone der Maschine von der betreffen den Seite her überblicken zu können.
Wie festgestellt ist, kommen Handver- letzung-en durch Berührung des Schneidmes- sers 3 weniger beim Gebraneh bzw. beim Fort bewegen der Maschine als bei Niehtbenütztin- derselben vor, nämlich wenn in der Nähe der Sehneidmaschine andere Arbeiten ausgeführt werden.
Trifft die Hand gegen die vordere Begrenzung des Hebelschenkels 14a, dann wird sie vom Schwenkhebel 13, 14 aufgefan gen bzw. in ihrer Bewegung aufgehalten; unter Umständen wird die Hand den Schwenkhebel 13, 14 so bewegen, dass der IIebelarm 14, 14a aufwärts schwingt, die Hand also im Abstand von der Schneid scheibe 3 gehalten wird;
die Aufwärtsbewe gung des Schutzarmes 14a wird durch Auf treffen desselben am Motor 4 begrenzt. Gege benenfalls kann die Ausführung so getroffen ,>erden, dass die vom Schwenkhebel 13, 14 auf den zu schneidenden Stoff ausgeübte Druck wirkung z. B. mittels eines auf der Lager achse wirksamen, exzentrischen Stellr in.es verändert werden kann.
Mittels des Bedienungsarmes 13 kann der Seliutzarm 14 gewünschtenfalls beliebig nach oben v ersehwenkt werden, z. B. um bei leich ten und weichen Stoffen ein durch Glas Auf liegen genannten Armes 14 verursachtes Bremsen bzw. Aufstauen des Stoffes zu ver hindern.
Wenn auch .der Schutzarm 14 des Sehwenk- liebels 13, 14 aus Material besteht, das keine Durchsicht gestattet, dann kann er mit. einer Schauöffnung versehen sein, welche entspre chenden LTberbliek im Arbeitsbereich des Schneidmessers gibt; gegebenenfalls kann in genannte ISchanöffnun.g eine Lupe eingesetzt sein. Selbstverständlich könnte auf der zwei ten Seite des Se.hneidmessers ebenfalls ein Schwenk- bzw. Schutzhebel angeordnet sein.
Auch könnte der Schutzhebel an seinem freien Ende eine -Umbiegung aufweisen zwecks Bildunp eines gabelförmig um den Schneid- rand des Messers greifenden Sehutzt.eils.
