Additional patent to main patent no. 310828 Process for the production of a metallizable polyazo dye The subject of the present patent is a process for the production of a metallizable polyazo dye. The process is characterized in that diazotized 2-amino-1-oxy-benzene-4-methylsulfone is coupled with 3 '- aceto - acetylamino - 4 - amino -1,1'-diphenylurea-3-sulfonic acid,
the received monoazo dye is further diazotized, combined with 1-amino-2-naphthylglycolic acid, the resulting compound is diazotized and coupled with 2- (3'-amino-benzoylamino) -6-oxy-naphthalene-8-sulfonic acid.
The new trisazo dye obtained is a dark powder that dyes cellulose fibers in green tones, which after treatment with copper compounds have excellent fastness properties.
Example 1.8.7 parts of 2-amino-1-oxy-benzene-4-methylsulfone are concentrated in 200 parts of water with 15 parts. Dissolved hydrochloric acid and diazotized at 10 with 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite and the diazo solution in a solution of 40.6 parts of 3'-aceto-acetylamino-4-amino-1,1'-diphenyl urea-3-sulfonic acid in 400 parts Run in water and 30 parts of sodium carbonate.
The isolated monoazo dye and 6.9 parts of sodium nitrite are dissolved in 1000 parts of water and concentrated at 10-15 to 40 parts. Poured hydrochloric acid. After stirring for four hours, the precipitated diazonium compound is filtered off and introduced into a solution of 21.7 parts of 1-amino-2-naphthylglycolic acid in 600 parts of water to which 20 parts of sodium acetate have been added. The purple disazo dye is dissolved with 5 parts of caustic soda, mixed with 400 parts of sodium chloride and.
at 20-25 with 8.2 parts of sodium nitrite and 60 parts of conc. Hydrochloric acid diazotized. The filtered and washed diazonium compound is treated with a solution of 35.8 parts of 2- (3'-amino-benzoylamino) -6-oxy-naphthalin-8-sulfonic acid in 200 parts of water in the presence of 20 parts of sodium carbonate and 150 parts of pyridine to give the trisazo dye of the formula

coupled.
It is separated off with a little sodium chloride, filtered and washed with dilute sodium chloride solution. When dried, it is a dark powder that dissolves in water with green and in concentrated sulfuric acid with brown-olive color. Dyes on natural or regenerated cellulose give green tones with excellent fastness properties after treatment with copper salts.
